Agreed that bending toe up, if its even possible given the bone spurring already there, jams the joint increasing bone spurrimg, which is removed in cheilectomy surgery, or the joint is fused to stop the jamming.

Wishful thinking, as my "big toe" have zero flexing ability, unless I maybe try to use a sledgehammer first.. It is good exercise for 20 years old, maybe next time then.. ;)

I am beginning to think too many of these therapeutic videos on RUclips, are misusing the terminology. They almost all refer to “rigidus” when these therapies seem more suitable for “limitus”, when you still have mobility in the joint(s). The odds of any of this working when things have advanced to “rigidus”, seems very low. And probably would be painful with barely any movement.

      Hi Namrata! 🙂
Thanks for your comment! We're sorry to hear you suffer from hallux rigidus in both feet. 😞 Perhaps this can lead to poor posture while walking, which can affect your entire body, including your groin. In addition to these exercises, you can also practise our groin exercises to help yourself naturally. 👉 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-groin For best results, try to repeat them at least once a day for 2 mins per stretch. We hope they'll help you! Please share your experience and result with us!

You're welcome! 🙂 We're happy to hear you give these exercises a try. 💪 Unfortunately, we can't tell you from a distance whether your swelling in your feet and calves is caused by your hallux rigidus. That's why we recommend you to consult a doctor to get a medical examination. 🙏🙂 Usually, people can notice first results after a few weeks if they've been practising regularly. Could you please tell me what my problem might be. The problem i have is that on my right foot i can't curl the top joint (distal phalanges)of my big toe downwards. which is no problem on the left foot to do. again If i try to do that on my right foot, i can't it remains straight and it hurts. BUT if i then simply push the top of that big toe(distal phalanges) down with my finger there is no problem, it bends down. no pain. only thing i notice is that it seem that something is pulling the toe back straight from the other side (tendon?)).. like there is some pull weight back straight on that toe. now i have read about hallux rigidus but thats often stiffness from the joint and bone before the tip(distal phalanges). when i wake up i have more issues with that toe and when i put it in a shoe with good support it seems to get a bit better (pain)..but still unable to bend that tip of that big toe downwards. Maybe this is something i have for years..(unable to bend my top of big toe downwards, never noticed it but now i saw it, because it hurts trying. The pain i feel then is in the same big toe.. mostly side upper part of that big toe.(interphalangal joint..one aligning the distal phalanges) but it can move a little ..not always on same spot..but around that same big toe.. If you can give me some pointers or possibilities here i would really appreciate it, cause i am in/at a lost here.

      Hi there 🙂
Thanks for getting in touch and sharing your experience! We understand how frustrating and painful this must be! Unfortunalety, it's difficult for us to tell from a distance what your problem might be. However, we've found that most problems and pain conditions are caused by excessive muscular-fascial tensions that build up due to one-sided or insufficient movement and perhaps pulling your toe back. In our article on hallux valgus you can learn more about the cause, symptoms, and treatment options of various problems with the big toe. 👉 lie-br.com/yt-cm3-bunion Give it a read and learn more about how to help yourself naturally, improve mobility of the top joint of your big toe and prevent further pain. 💪 If you have any questions or if you need further advice, just contact us again. We're always happy to help!

Thanks for your comment. We know that these exercises can be tough and also painful, but you have to stretch at a certain intensity in order to achieve effective results. 😊💪 Just remember our exercise guide and go slow and steady. 👉 lie-br.com/fb-cm3-exerciseguide If you add these exercises to your daily routine, they can certainly help relieve your pain and naturally treat your hallux rigidus. Just keep exercising for a pain-free and healthy life and help yourself naturally rather than relying on external help or medication. We'd love to hear how you got on!
