    This was a very thorough review; here is my feedback:
    - I absolutely loved your explanation and background of the specific "sciencey" ingredients and what they do. I feel like most reviewers do not touch on the science of how the ingredients work (I always end up researching it on my own). So thanks for that.
    - The length and quality of your video is perfect. I love longer more detailed oriented videos and watched its entirety. I also appreciate the timestamps, which are very very valuable, not just for jumping ahead but revisiting information.
    - Your personality and video presentation style is quite professional and brainy. Totally gives Professor Mack vibes lol I could see you giving lectures in an academic setting for sure.
    - I appreciate your honestly and hope your channel grows! I also hope you were compensated appropriately because I just know this was a lot of work to film. I'd suggest dropping a way to donate for the purposes of your efforts in making quality videos for this channel.
    My verdict: 8.5/10 I definitely gave this video a like and will be purchasing the masque and possibly the leave in conditioner/ the rinse-out conditioner in the near future based on your review. I have chemically straightened hair that is approaching midback length and it could use some extra help on the ends due to damage from misusing heat in the past and a chemical double process on the last 4 inches of my hair. Hopefully this will "repair" my damage which is mainly dryness, dullness, and occasionally mild breakage (I have no split ends which is very surprising but I'm lucky). The ends of my hair are kind of a dark reddish brown (level 3 or 4) rather than 1b like my roots.

      It means SOOOO very much that you took the time to not only watch this but to offer such detailed feedback. I'm still growing and feeling way through these RUclips streets! Every tip helps me to keep doing the things y'all like, and tweak the things that aren't working. I was relaxed for 15 years - I do understand the delicate nature of processed hair for sure. I hope it works well for you! (And I will consider some sort of "tip jar." Outside the product, this video was not monetized in any way. And yes, it was a lot of work. Lol! But viewers like you make it worth it the effort. )

      @MacktheMaverick Absolutely! Thanks for your reply. Luckily I'm not relaxed I have Japanese Hair Straightening so the chemical is Ammonium thioglycolate rather than Sodium Hydroxide for example. So the bonds are restructured rather than broken down permanently. So I'm thinking this should work lol.
      And I wish you the very best with your channel! I could see you have a ton of subscribers in the future.

    Shea moisture just put out two new oils Rosemary & Vegan Collagen Strengthening Scalp & Hair Oil and Biotin & Multi-Peptide Anti-Hair Fall Scalp & Hair Oil. Do you mind doing a review on those? The ingredients looked pretty standard for what their purpose is but as you’ve stated in this video, the main thing tends to be lower on the ingredients list which is similar in these two new oils as well.

      Hi! I just heard that they had been released a few days ago myself. As soon as I can get my hands on them and test, I've got you. Requests help a lot, so thanks for asking!

    You need a hand for an appreciation for pronouncing the ingredients . You work so hard to give a through reviews. I'm glad you didn't try Romaine . I know of a few that had to make a trip to ER.Also I know a woman that used it and when she stopped using it, she loss more hair than she loss prior to usage. 👏👏👏

      Thank you! You just can't go putting any and everything on your body all will nilly. That's part of the reason I try so hard to help my viewers make as informed decisions as possible.

    I use Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Salve. It is a pre shampoo treatment. I was watching your review to help determine if I will invest in the Shea Moisture line. I’m looking for more strength, as I have SO many moisturizing products. Thank you so much!

    I tried the shampoo, the conditioner and the leave in conditioner for the last 4 month. I loved the shampoo and the conditioner. it grows my hairs and repair my broken hair. But I hate the leave in conditioner. It made my hair dryer.

      Thanks so much for sharing! I feel like someone else commented that they weren't sure it would work on their high porosity hair, so it's good to hear you're having success.

    I tried it and honey.. it dried my hair out made it shed more and frizz. You’re right the conditioner was extremely thick and too creamy. I need more slip! It weight the hair down and made it prone for overload and didn’t go well either my stylers.

    How often do you wash your hair?

    • @MacktheMaverick
      @MacktheMaverick  Месяц назад +1

      I wash my hair once a week if it's out or once every other week if it's in a protective style. Otherwise, I'm guaranteed some combination of knots, tangles, dryness, and irritated scalp.

    So now I'm confused I thought you masque than condition because the conditioner will seal in ingredients from the masque. Can someone please help me I've been to 100s of hair websites and they say masque then condition

    • @curlynella1011
      @curlynella1011 6 месяцев назад +4

      I have seen in Brazil they do mask then conditioner but in America most do conditioner and then mask 💯

      Save you money and use either the conditioner or mask at once just leave the conditioner alil longer they are a good brand but nonetheless still looking for more money to bring in

      This is a great question! I was trying to do a little research, as I've also heard conflicting advice. I'm gathering that it may be dependent on the ingredients and whether or not they are designed to penetrate the hair or sit on top. In the meantime, I reached out to the company to see if they'll give me some product specific info. If/when they respond, I'll spin the block!

      You do not have to bother on the same day. Either or works fine, conditioners are formulated to do the same thing except DC (deep conditioner) have concentrates that C may not have. In other countries the conditioner is usually known as a rinse.

    • @suzanneaubin7599
      @suzanneaubin7599 3 месяца назад +1

      Masque then conditioner (if needed afterwards) Some masques do not detangle or moisturize. You need to apply the conditioner afterwards.
      For this line you really only need the masque. The shampoo and leave-in contain polyquat-10 which can coat hair in a way that is worse than some silicones. Sulfates, believe it or not, removes very little of it. The best detergent for removing polyquats is C14-16 olefin sulfonate, without the shampoo containing more polyquats or silicones. You want a clean slate. 😮

    Ok but can you describe the smell? No idea from this review what the smell is.

    • @MacktheMaverick
      @MacktheMaverick  12 дней назад

      I will try - it's a little hard to describe. It is kind of "vanilla-ish", but with more of a warm spice to it. It puts me in the mind of a spicy gourmand perfume but not nearly as potent.
