- In this stormgate showmatch we have a best of 7 games with parting playing as the stormgate celestial armada whilst therory plays as the stormgate infernal host. It was a great stormgate showmatch with some INCREDIBLE moments.

With 1v1/esports being the only somewhat complete part of the game, they really should improve the observer interface sooner
Yeah, I'm hoping there's some of that in next week's content drop. At least a fix to health bars and/or mining income rates.
Hopefully a production tab, but I doubt that's coming so early.
Feel like archangels melee attack needs to do arching AOE damage. Seems like their only usecase is to harass workers?
Every match against Celestials is a proof of the horrific rawness of the game and the dominance of microcontrol over ideas and strategy. Brain? Why if you can spam 1 unit and kite. And this is also true for Vanguard. I still expect a lot from this game and hope for the best, but for now it is a parody of StarCraft 2 with the worst vices instead of new ideas. Frostgiant, I believe in you, but please make this a strategy in which the mind wins, and not a tactics in which reflexes win.
Age of Empires already exists (and so does turn-based stretegy). This is a Blizzard-style RTS.
@@eduardoserpa1682 But what audience is it for. Young people who want to play RTS type game with right controls are probably better served playing a moba. Sure, it's not exactly the same genre but it's all about micro while looking and feeling very similar. RTS gamers are again. I'm in my early 30s now and I no longer pla STarcraft anymore because it's just too stressful. Afe of Mythology retold on the other handi s great. You can win a lot of fights by microing but you don't need 300 apm and memorize 100 hotkeys to struggle in gold league.
@@Eilandfreier364 Funny enough, I started with League, and switched to SC2 a few years ago at 22 because of game length and the stress of having to manage teammates and clean up after them. Now I mostly play fighting games or RTS.
I didn't really know what RTS was before that, but the constant multitasking fits me a lot better, and I think a lot of the TikTok kids would like RTS as well if there's one with good onboarding. Battle Aces is probably a better starting point, but I think Stormgate will have more staying power.
APM is also overrated at most levels of play, I remember getting to mid-high platinum in my fist couple months of SC2 just by building good units, and A-moving the opponents' bases. Only then I started to do slightly different builds, and actively scouting throughout the game.

Cool to see Theory getting to do his magic with Brutes and Fiends. On paper, he was being countered by Argents, but the Fiend surrounds allow him flip that on its head. I'm looking forward to seeing that unit matchup develop.

Game 2 was probably the greatest game I've seen thus far. Very back and forth. Love it

dont know wtf with this balance. 1 unit in army, and this unit stronger then all infernal units. No weakness. Play stormgate now its play versus balance.
