Hello, where did you get the two columns?
I built them!
So the singing pumpkins projector sits near the ground and projects up onto the colums/pumpkins ? Ive always projected mine right in front of them. Do you get a better picture that way ?
Love all this. Do you think the Atmos scrim is worth the money ?
Hey Debra, thanks for watching! Having the projector near the ground may not increase the quality of the projection but it does give you more options to hide the projector, which to me is pretty important.
I am a big fan of the AtmosFX hollusion fabric that I used in my scrim and I do think it's worth the money.
Wow. Wish I could hire you for a day to come help me. I am an old widda woman trying to do all this stuff without help. It's hard!

I love using the projection images! Just brings another layer to things! I only have one projector so I have to decide on one best use. What projector do you use and does the fan help that much? I have not really noticed any heat build up. Where do you get those units inside the columns? Humidifiers??

I built it! It was my introduction to basic carpentry.

Projection Newbie Question: If I were playing Jack O Lantern Jamboree and Witching Hour in my outside display, how could I prevent each "show" from talking over each other?
Hey Mark, thanks for watching! I wouldn't consider that a newbie question at all. You can take the scenes from the two different decorations and put them into a video editing software like Adobe Premiere. Create a movie for each projection with gaps in each movie using ambient scenes (cauldron bubbling for witching hour and funny faces for JOLJ) so that the decorations do not overlap each other. That way, when one is playing an active scene, the other is playing an ambient scene and vice versa.
@@ToilandTroublesDIY Concerning your scrim. I tried the PVC frame method, but PA weather is not kind. I need to make something more substantial. I like your framed out method. What type of hinges did you use to it foldable?
@@marksands6380 I used regular 2” hinges and chest latches on the opposite side to lock the second half of the scrim into place.

Wondering if you might be able to help me? I just purchased an retekess tr509 FM transmitter to use with one of my digital displays. I use the agptek 1080 mini media player with a TV in my front window and play AtmosFX effects from a USB on it. I want to be able to broadcast the audio so people can hear it in their cars but I can't get it to work. The media player is connected via HDMI cable to the TV and then I've tried using the 3.5 AV port to run a cable from the media player to the FM transmitter but I can't ever get sound. I'm considering buying the Orei switcher/extractor ( I think it's called ) because now I'm thinking I need it to extract the audio and go from the extractor to the transmitter? Am I even close in my thought process? And will I still need the volume turned up on the TV for this? The media player has a volume setting and the transmitter has a volume knob. I ask because I don't want to hear the effects all night since the TV is inside the house.
So you are saying that you are running a 3.5mm aux cable from the aux port on the fm transmitter to the aux port on the media player and no sound is being broadcasted from the fm transmitter?
@@ToilandTroublesDIY Correct. I tried with an old phone and could get the transmitter to broadcast the music from the phone so I know it works. I'm wondering if the AV port on the media player is input rather than output? Or the video and audio is being transmitted via the HDMI so that's why I'm thinking I need the splitter/extractor?
Edit - I also tried all 4 settings for the audio output on the media player
That is strange. As you saw, I run an hdmi out from a media player to a projector and the audio is still able to be run on the fm transmitter so I'm not sure that's the issue. The only thing I can think is that the audio on the media player is turned down or muted but I am sure you have checked that. I have media players from both agptek and micca but haven't experienced that issue with either. It may be worth trying a different media player.
@@ToilandTroublesDIY I've made sure the volume is turned all the way up on the media player but I haven't tried another media player. I have 4 different ones so I'll try that. I went ahead and ordered that extractor/splitter so I'll give that a try as well. Thanks for the replies and help. Oh, and BTW, after watching your video I also ordered 2 of those amphibian misters, lol.

I used a vinyl shower curtain from Dollar General for my window projection material. What did you use for the picture window?
Thanks for watching! I use the old AtmosFX premium window projection material which is a vinyl static cling in each of the window panes.
