Lyrics:
She knows the streets where she walks
Never were paved with gold
Can't return
But won't dream till she's old
Leaving it soon behind
City so cold
And everyday now so long
How could she have been so wrong
And as the morning comes
Shadows on her fall upon
Walking crowded the streets
She looked on
Packs her case
And tomorrow she's gone
And everyday now so long
How could she have been so wrong Видеоклипы
The most original, innovative prog group of the 70s
Interview is stunningly underrated.
Is it? I love GG and I think it's their best album.
@@xactomanboy This is RUclips, where you will find "_____ is so underrated!" on every post, even if _____ went multi-platinum.
Not by me lol😊
Just got my Steve Wilson powdered copy pardon the bad Giant pun … I’m reaquiring the taste
my fav GG album
Only played live when the song was adopted by Gary's Three Friends band. ❤
I just bought the vinyl online it was a light blue colored disc absolutely beautiful one of my best records.
Absolutely fantastic! I think their music actually gets BETTER with time. Especially if you put it up against today's "music" These guys were so remarkably talented and this video is perfect with this song
Your mixes are clear and defined yet so very musical Steven. I so enjoy your work!! Thank you for preserving this exceptional band for generations to come!
This is my favorite Gentle Giant song! I'm trying to be patient waiting on my vinyl copy of the SW remix. Why North America had to wait a few months more baffles me.
My favourite track from Interview, a very underrated album
Kerry's favourite from the album and Ray wrote the music
The best song from this album, I find! And a wonderful new remix of it!
I really don’t understand Steven Wilson’s work with GG . Leave well enough alone
@@jefflevinson669 The man is great at mixing and remixing old recordings and audio. I'm not sure what there isn't to understand.
@@AWaBfantasy I’m not questioning Wilson ability . I totally don’t see anything wrong with the original mixes . Likely been listening to GG while you were still in a jumper
@@jefflevinson669 Nice passive aggressiveness there, if entirely an assumption based on nothing, and entirely unnecessary.
That said, I know the original mixes best myself, as well. Yet I do find the Wilson mixes can be very enjoyable too. Sometimes I hear things I did not hear as well before, or vice versa.
@@AWaBfantasy geeze man all I said was I see the point of many of Wilson’s remasters … same with many of the Crimson ones
Such a treat to listen to the boys in the band… ❤
Nice work,. Noah. Thank you for bringing some fresh new life to the music. And,.it is a fitting tribute to your uncle Ray.
well done Mr. Wilson !!! best wishes from germany!
I saw Gentle Giant open for Jethro Tull in oct '72. It was Tull's thick as a brick tour. GG were actualy on the radio with "Prologue". The Three Friends album had me mezmerized.
Wonderful music, nice visuals
Interview has grown on me so much.
What a beauty!
absolutely stunning!
I loved and followed the group since the beginning (even before) and I still adore them. 🌈❣
Io personalmente NON ho PAROLE!!!!!!!! Come siamo CADUTI in BASSO!!!!!!!!Mi metterei a RIDERE per NON piangere!!!!!!!
Wow !!!
I love the gentle and giant vibes to this Fantastic song.
Thanks for posting them. Masterpiece G.G. excellent sound quality music. Good time for you
The best sounding GG album overall from a HIFI standpoint certainly and my fav collection of songs as well..
LOVE the remix!!!
Beautiful 💞
Interview is the most Gentle Giant Gentle Giant album in my opinion. It encompasses everything unique about the band. Weird, "pretentious", and most importantly ROCKING!
Isle of MAN......Empty Rock
This was a disappointment to me when it came out. But compared to anything else recorded since then and with the new mix it feels like a long lost friend.
The band whose sole objective was to make everyone else sound amateurish! Awesome.
Still, did this need a remix?
Apparently... some keyboard parts are more distinguishable and there are more lyrics in Timing.
Don't get me wrong, I think Steven Wilson is a great musician, his own musical work is superb, but I actually prefer the original mix, or even the 2012 one to this. This one lack the edge, some of the power and dynamic. It's too round and neat.
I see it just the opposite way! His work as a musical reengineerer is superb. But his own music: leave me alone! Brutal and overly loud.
@@emilobeThat would only describe a small amount of his work (Porcupine Tree from 2002-2009). He has many other great albums! For Porcupine Tree I would recommend Stupid Dream, beautiful atmosphere yet strong structure. For his solo work I would recommend either The Raven That Refused To Sing (not my favorite but the closest sounding to classic prog) or Hand Cannot Erase (my favourite album by him, I strongly suggest looking up it’s concept, it enhances the experience greatly. Very emotionally potent album)
@@emilobeYou perhaps may not like the beginning of Luminol (first track on Raven) but give it a chance, it mellows out after 4 minutes, and the other songs are far less intense.
why does everybody need steven wilson ? In other words where was steven wilson when GG created and composed this ?
I am tired of steven wilson remix crap -- jethro tull went down this rabbit hole also - So I need to buy these recordings again -
quit milking your fans GG was done in 1980 -- 43 years later I need to buy this recording again ? pardon me my answer is gfy, .....
Lol, your funny, no one is forcing you to buy it.
No one is forcing you to buy anything
Personally I’m thrilled that this iconic material is reaching new audiences. It SWs input helps that happen then what’s the prob?
Please explain why, in your opinion, these remixes are "crap". Otherwise, you're not making any contribution to music culture, just vomiting your own frustration. The world doesn't need childish diatribes.
Why are you so upset? Relax, enjoy life a little.
