"rent the shirt" YES! This is the perfect way to describe the seasonal item returns. We see this throughout the year because we specialize in location themed items, which people love to buy, wear for a vacation, then try to return for refund. It's a constant issue we face. We have to stipulate that items can only be returned to us if there is a manufacturing error, and they have to send photos of this issue within a few days of receiving the item from us. We probably don't make a lot of sales because of this very limited return policy. But it cuts down on the "rent the shirt/dress/tote bag" issue enough to make it worth it.
Thank you for the video and info! I always appreciate what you and Stephen have to say. 😊 I am based in the UK, I think this opportunity only currently extends to US based sellers. I wondered if I can create an account and just sell to the US? 🤔 I’m not sure but hopefully UK soon! 😊
Can you make a video on how to list products on Amazon sellers central after connecting with Printify? Every time I publish a listing from Printify Amazon suppresses the listing. I am a newbie with pod. My head hurts trying to figure ALL the steps… all the do and don’ts 😢. I finally figured out once I got brand approval from Amazon that I had to change the settings in Printify. I can list with a brand but I still don’t know why it’s suppressed. Also some advice on shipping prices or free shipping and add it into total price. lol I hope you can make a video and title it pod for dummies lol.
From my understanding amazon merch offers only various kinds of shirts & sweaters, totes, pillow, and phone cases. I'm definitely leaning towards selling other items from Printify that arent offered in Merch on Demand because with Printify we cant really compete price wise with amazon
Yes - makes sense to leverage whatever items Printify offers that are different than Merch on Demand, so you're not competing with Prime shipping.. Of course, personalizing will help set you apart too, and in my experience, people will pay $$$$ for and wait as long as necessary for their new, awesome, custom item.
What about return policy? I see that Amazon enforces 30 day free returns so if the customer simply doesn't like the color or the design or maybe it's too big/small or simply changed one's mind it will return the product for free and this is really bad for this kind of business. Another tricky part is the delivery fee. I see that all Amazon Merch products fall into the free delivery category for orders over 35$, but if you're not on merch on demand I don't see the option to offer that. I think it's hard to compete with the free return policy and no delivery fee that merch on demand offers.
If you're doing personalized items, you don't have to accept returns. If you do not offer personalized stuff, the best way is to make things that will be bought as gifts for other people since they're rarely returned. Or you can get them directed to your house and can sell them locally or in your Etsy shop, or Facebook Marketplace, etc. Or you can write them off and donate them to people in need.
Good question! So I do know that not all of Printify’s catalog is available for sale on Amazon (Amazon rules I believe), so I would expect Printify to enable an “amazon friendly” product category sooner than later ..for now though, I would probably reach out to Printify support and/or Amazon support for the clarity of the different products you want to sell
I just started watching your videos a few days ago. I have some questions, but I'll try to figure them out step by step. My question is: If I'm a beginner on Amazon POD, I already have all my designs, but I'm missing advertising for my designs. How would I do that?
This sounds great, but I have been created my account i I have a concern about this. In Amazon the only choice for handling time/production is one day. The products that takes more than one day in production is going to affect the account's health because it is going to be delivered late to the customer. Am I missing something?
Hello! Amazon's return and exchange policy gives buyers the right to return or exchange goods within 30 days! What to do with this? Is it possible to change this and indicate that we do not accept returns or exchanges!?
Stephen or Jay, using Printify for ornaments which specific provider would you use/ prefer; imagine you photos, acrylic idea factory as I’m not to impressed with their performance scores. I want happy customers. Secondly, Where are people getting their gift boxes for ornaments? I’ve signed up for Amazon Seller and Lifetime membership to Hello Custom as well a course for an additional $97 dollars which I think starts Sept 8th?
@@AdamSharp-d9n when I signed up for the Lifetime Hello Custom membership it was listed as an additional offer. There was one more but I did what I could afford!

How should we handle returns for apparel items, particularly those in the holiday niche?

In your Seller Central dashboard click the 3 lines at the top left and go down to "Advertising" and then to "Campaign Manager" :)

I don't see where more than one day in production is going to affect the account's health if you set your timeframes appropriately.
