As someone who has the original figure I can say that the h-tank mode is basically 100% accurate to the original figure. And the original's sholder treads can actually rotate unlike the new version, but I'm not mad about it because of how exquisite it looks (I mean the shoulder that the treads are attached to for future reference)
Didn't the old one also have the head kind of suck down into the chest?

The original does not have working treads. It’s still just little pinned wheels. Unless they changed it for the Galvatron release which is what I have
@@pravesh736 I was trying to say that the treads are attached to a shoulder joint which allows the arms to get more range. I guess my wording was off so sorry for the misleading comment
@@PerspectiveEndthe original figure's head was static except for a neck swivel. A small plate slide up from the chest to cover the face, but the head itself remained where it was in robot mode.

@@ashervoss5398 to be fair though, that figure’s main issue is QC. Everything else is pretty good - lots of good articulation, he looks accurate in both modes and he’s got decent accessories (though the Star Saber should be bigger IMO). Besides, some of the QC issues might get fixed with the inevitable Thundercracker repaint that HasTak will make at some point.

I grew up on an amalgamation of megatrons from bayverse to prime, but this version has always stuck and i dont know why but im glad theres a new toy of this desgin. Though it may never happen i want this to be adapted into live action(making up for thrust)

I can say that "I" Will not be getting the Galvatron Repaint. I cant say the more boring colors interest me at all.

Armada Megatron was my first introduction to the Megatron character. Never owned the original Armada Megatron toy, nor the Combiner Wars version, so I'm so glad Hasbro brought this version back for Legacy Evolution. From robot to tank mode, he looks so accurate to the Armada show. I do wish his horn pincers didn't come off and for the shoulder tank treads to be locked in. The tank barrel to come off the turret to be a arm blaster is a cool feature.
-Him, Starscream, now we need Demolisher and Cyclonus.
-Looking forward to his repaint as Galvatron.
-I got this Armada Universe Megatron at Walmart the other day. I also saw a package refresh Blitzwing under the Legacy Evolution title.

I already own Blitzwing from Legacy, wish the second leader class spot went to another Transformer character. Especially since yesterday I saw both Legacy and Legacy Evolution Blitzwing at another Walmart, on the same shelve, side by side.
Also looking forward to getting the commander class Armada Universe Optimus Prime, when it's release.

Perspectivend is officially one of, if not my favorite transformers review-tuber. He's able to incapsulate the pros and cons of each figure really well compared to some reviewers that rely on flowery words which int he end I still don't understand what they're talking about.

He is the best TF reviewer because he is truly honest with everything and covers all bases to determine if it’s worth your money. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything. The fact that everyone outside his fanbase calls him too negative just shows how afraid other reviewers are to be honest

This looks so good. That head sculpt looks so much better in person. I want more Unicron trilogy figures. Here's hoping for an Armada Thrust, Tidalwave, Blurr, and Sideways
I don't know if it's better in person or if they just didn't photograph it well, because I thought when I got up close with the camera in the video it also just looked so good.
I've been browsing this figure on the BBTS a while ago, he just looks so damn COOL.
Sidenote can I just say how much I love the artwork for the Leader Class Packaging, it reminds me so much of the old Lego Bionicle/Hero Factory packaging when I was a kid.

Two Recommendations for this Toy, cause He's worth it:
1. Swapping the turret for Gamer Edition Meg's Cannon. I can't take credit for this but if you have the GE Megatron, this is a must imo. The canon is just too small for wfc megatron and there are plenty of upgrades kits that do it better. It's the same shape as the armada barrel but bigger and not made with the soft easily warping material. The peg on GE Meg's cannon means he can hold it in a way that gives "Such Heroic Nonsense" rather than "Punch-Dildo", and with the tank articulation, you can put it in his hand without parts forming. Also if you do want the punch-dildo, it's even more powerful now.
2. Giving the Turret a full 360. If you unscrew the ab-piece and the green piece attaching the tank turret to the purple swivel you can cut the stopper and give the turret a full 360. From what I can see the limited rotation is only so the barrel can sit at that 45 angle on his back but i much prefer the trade off for an unimpeeded turret especially since I just keep the barrel in his hand (see upgrade 1). The megadong is possible, and mortals quiver in it's majesty.
I already loved this guy before but now after I've done both of these to mine, (and have an upgrade kit for the shoulders on the way) I haven't put this guy down since. He's defenitely earnt the upgrade.
What do you mean swap the turret? How am I supposed to swap that whole part for something off a different figure that's the wrong color?
I've seen the videos on how to do it, it looks like a Pain in the ass.

I relize his alt mode kinda looks like animated shockwaves, who has one of my favorite tank modes in the series, and does it better than this megatron
His robot mode also has the shoulders. To be fair Shockwave was just an H-Tank and they all kind of look similar.

And armada megatron is very, very enjoyable. Not as much as beast wars or prime, but still very enjoyable, even though he says something, very questionable.
And as for this figure, I NEED it, I want a full cast of armada, at least the 1st 7, all we need is a red alert, cyclonus and demolisher
Edit: I don’t think legacy will cover the movie designs, plus we already have a studio series ROTF Megatron, which RULES

I recently rewatched a bunch of episodes to make the Roast of the show, and what I saw, I did not enjoy, in any way shape or form. I remember liking the show growing up, but I feel like if I get all the way through the show again, I will not care for it.
How unfortunate that his shoulders have no forward and backward movement, it kinda limits his articulations but i think sometimes his shoulder work that way where only his arms move forward and backward in the show. So it's kinda accurate? Anyway i always find his beetle horns weird with the rest of his body design. I mean they look cool and menacing but they just don't feel right to be with the design aesthetic.
I'd say the horns feel right what with the shoulder pads, they just don't feel right for MEGATRON.

There is a Warpath H-Tank and I was one of the people who thought a new series meant a new cast so I didn't know Armada, Energon, and Cybertron were all in the same continuity. Also I found it hilarious when you tried to test the leg stability and the shoulder dropped to his hips.
Yeah that's how loose those shoulders are. It's the biggest Frustration of the figure.

I’m glad you liked this one as much as I did, he’s so damn good. Absolute peak transformer design. Unicron Trilogy Megatron was my Megatron growing up. I’m so glad Armada was done well. I’m excited to see what they do with Energon and Cybertron Megatron down the line.

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing another show made by Japan. I just want to see what they would come up with and what they would do, especially because it seems like Hasbro would have power over how Japan could make it's show (like having Optimus being Optimus not convoy, including bumblebee, or keeping it strictly autobots and decepticons). What would be the Japanese interpretation of Western Transformers and how would they make it a show is the main question I have
Also while I promised myself that I wouldn't get any armada legacy figures, (less I decided I need to get ALL legacy armada figures), this review is starting to get me to question that commitment

Indeed he does not, and he's a tank too, so it's a really tidy fit.
I meant as in I was born in 2006 and the films were my first introduction to the franchise and I saw G1 last, this is why I was fine with the different designs. I also love the designs from the films.

I'm not an Armada fan but I ended up buying this from a local Wal-Mart a week ago because it is a cool figure. I know an Armada Galvatron is coming from this mold but I hope and pray that HasTak has a Selects G1 Dreamwave version of The Fallen planned for this mold to. Because that would be epic. I also want to play a Metal Gear game now...

I might grab this if it shows up locally, but I won't go all import tax on it since although I did watch Armada as a kid I don't have that big of an attachment to the characters. That being said it looks like a good toy in general even if you don't care about the character, so if Hasbro can distribute it to me then I'll probably grab it. I have the OG Armada Galvatron figure, so this should look good next to that.

Aligned isn't a Continuity. The Retools and the GE figures got nothing to do with each other.

The arms don't feel as skinny seeing them in reviews now. In fairness, I only thought they were ever so slightly too skinny from the promo shots. It wasn't the end of the world.
I didn't notice that at all my self so yeah it's fair to say they look fine.

I don't really see a point to Mechalive. it's it's increased cost at no real benefit to the figure.

Well you take Tarn's cannon and stick that end to end, you use that to form the middle along with Mirage's shoulder cannon, then you take the back cannon from skullgrin and stick that to the bottom of one of Tarn's cannons, then you take one of Skullgrins regular sword guns, stick that in the tip of the normal barrel, and attach the normal barrel to the rest of the assembly.
My only problem with this figure is that his cannon tip being made out of rubber
Out of the box mine was bent which makes it look extremely ugly looking and there's no other way to un-bend it except using a hair dryer
seriously though who thought it was a good idea to make the cannon tip made out of rubber? They could have easily made it out of plastic like idk... LIKE THE REST OF THE FIGURE IS MADE OUT OF

I can't say that I've ever actually been impressed with the way their figures look. They are incredibly stylized in ways I think make the designs less cool, but I hear they are still good figures.

Huh, now that was suprizing. Even with out how good this fig is, it is interesting to see you sharing more of your historii as an TF fan. As for the "H-tank" topic. We also have Demolishor, and Animated Shockwave as comparisons.
But as for the figure it self, frankly, I couldn't agree more with your points. Especially in case of accesories since, well...the only thing they could really do was, to give him a minicon. And considoring the last Legacy Minocon parthers (aka PointBlank and Needlenose), it's a good thing he didn't need to share the buget with a flimsy accesory.

2. I was thinking about ROTB and how useless Stratosphere is. Hmm, do we have any large Autobot jets shown do be able to act as a transport? We do…but fuck it. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN JETFIRE. I wanted to see Jetfire in a dogfight, and watch a Free Bird edit on RUclips dammit!

Trust me, Perspective; you missed absolutely nothing of value skipping Energon. It is completely unwatchable garbage, even in the original Japanese language. There's a reason that Cybertron is a soft-reboot that only very vaguely alludes to having taken place after Armada in Japanese: the Suits in Japan wanted *nothing* to do with Energon. A shame the English Cybertron didn't get the Memo and tried to force Armada and Energon plot-points into Cybertron, making the show more confusing for no good reason.
Still despise CW Armada Megs, and I am so glad that it is finally rendered completely obsolete...though I do kinda wish that the Legacy was allowed to be as big as the CW...though that would have bumped him into Commander Price easily, and I don't think Armada Megs could justify a Commander pricepoint (mind you, it wouldn't be as offensive as ""Commander"" Rodimus Prime). And yes, I know who I am and I still love MB Meg Tyranno despite its stylization if only because it's so feature-complete whilst still being a fun and posable MP-Scale figure. It's just not *the* modern Armada Megatron anymore. This is. and I'm so glad it is.

I mean Megatron was never supposed to be that much bigger than everyone else, so I can see why they wouldn't want to make him a Commander.

In other news, I got my mitts on Kingdom Core Optimus and Megatron from my local Big Lots (because Core Class really doesn’t do well in my area). Optimus is a mid downsized version of ER Prime; Megatron friggin rules. Hopefully Kingdom Megs inspires future G1 Megatron toys…
And this is basically what I've already said, though I say that ER Optimus is Mid in general, but the Megatron is awesome.

I think it's the colors making you say that, and honestly it's probably just cause the scheme is good, but he does have VERY VERY vaguely similar head antenna as well.
I would 100% love A Legacy Voyager Armada Sideways with the Replaceable head gimmick if you want him to be either Autobot Or Decepticon like the OG Toy and it kind of would be the only Legacy armada figure to have Minicons
I don't see them doing it as a Voyager, but I can see it as a Deluxe.

Also, if I recall correctly, back during when they revealed Armada Megatron, they said that they had another gimmick (a combining one) incorporated into Megatron....hinting that Tidal Wave might be coming.
Starscream and Hotshot had their flaws, but were over all pretty good.
I don't see any ports for combining so I don't know how hat would work but we will see.

Funny you should mention Galvatron, because Energon Megatron/Galvatron was clearly just G1 galvatron through an energon filter with Armada's tank mode strapped to his arm.
I like the looks of this guy, buy I'll wait for the inevitable Galvatron repaint, as that was the first version of the character I got collecting back when I only really grew the collection when someone donated theirs to Savers or sold it dirt cheap on Mercari.
Yeah it's funny how for a period of time the best Galvatron figure was an Energon one.

I didn’t know if you liked the design because the only point of reference was you calling Armada Megs one of Transformers weirdest/wackiest designs so I did know that. I didn’t know if you were gonna complain about no accessories, I didn’t know if you were gonna complain about the size or not, I just had no clue what you were gonna say. And I thought you were gonna complain about the shoulder treads not tabbing in anywhere and them being loose or just how the shoulders work in general. I thought you were gonna complain about how the transformation is too simple, I just had no idea what you were gonna say. And I thought you were gonna say that your OCD hates all the asymmetry on him. I thought you were gonna say he was downgrade from Dragon Megatron. I just didn’t know what to expect.

I mean calling it weird and whacky is just telling the truth, it can also be good, but first and foremost it's weird.
I mean I did complain about the shoulders having no locks on them, it just doesn't ruin it.
His turret flips open like that so you can get more clearance and flip the cannon to the front of his chest. At least that's what I've figured my self. Could be wrong.
Just picked this guy up at my local walmart....insane as it is that they have him....but I digess! He is a really cool megs and I think he will look FANTASTIC next to armada optimus prime!
Yeah I found this one at my Walmart too, and then they had a second one just a few days later.
Looks like a really dang fun leader class!! Brings me back to the leaders for rotf as odd as that is.

I'm really not sure if I wanna pick this guy up, I'm not a huge fan of armada, watched clips on RUclips when I was younger and have since watched the series in full and thought it was OK, but I don't have any big connection to it. There's also the factor that if they repainted this guy into megazarak I would absolutely pick it up, but there's always the posobility they won't and then I won't be able to experience the mould. I am interested in getting armada prime and having both of them together would be nice tho. I'll probably end up getting it in all honesty lol.
I mean if they do the Galvatron Repaint of this would it be close enough to Megazarak for you?

Very unrelated note but, I got siege optimus and holy shit you’re so fucking right, after I transformed him i just has to sit back in awe because it was so good. Both of his accessory’s are amazing. The way he looks is amazing and all for $30 on Amazon, god damn is this an amazing figure

Those repaints are pretty much guaranteed, because the show sure did find an easy way to resell the same figures.

Scheduled programming is the reason why I never finished most of the shows I watched as a kid. I would miss many episodes simply because I couldn't be in front of my tv as the show aired at that time. Things are better now that we can watch most shows on demand, now it's just a manner of not being too busy to sit down and watch 2 or 3 episodes. I started Energon about a month ago and just only watched episode 3 yesterday.
This Megatron is pretty cool. Not sure if I want him since he's not my favorite Megatron by any means but yeah pretty great.
I know that feel. Life needs to lay off so I can watch some TV.
Also, when you make the reveals video Wednesday, will you be talking about the Skybound Comics announcement? They revealed who the autobot cast for the comics will be, and the Decepticon silhouettes have been shown

4:00 I dabbed a spot of super glue in each piece to get them to stay. Then I realized they were on backwards and had to pull them out again! Happily, I did only use a slight dab of glue. Just enough to adhere, but not enough to cement. I wiggled them out, swapped them back. The glue remnants increased friction to the point I forgot looseness was an issue until I rewatched this vid.
A good fix, even if it is a pain in the butt, but we shouldn't have to fix our toys.
if the shoulders are the same as lazer primes ill definitely get this but it they are far worse than uhh im not sure
I don't think they are as bad as that things, and there's an Upgrade kit that's a pain in the ass to install that fixes it.

Got skyquake today and while he might be the coolest looking bot ever, I’m kinda disappointed. His transformation is extremely clashy and he has a hard time standing. Had to sand the landing gear down just for the transformation to function
Sorry to hear you aren't liking it so much. I've handled clashier Transformations personally, but he's not great on that front.
Been a while since hearing a glowing recommendation. Seems like across the board this figure amazes. This design definitely shows you don't have to always follow G1 to look good.

I got Armada Prime from BBTS weeks ago. Now I have to see everyone getting Megatron at Walmart while my preorder sits... I can't wait to get this.

Yeah over all this is better. I like that other figure, but this is much more satisfying.
man i just cannot get over how much smaller leader figures are nowadays. when was the last time a mainline figure had electronics or spring-loaded missles? i know most people don't care about them , but its a sad state of things when they've gutted a lot of 'fun factors' from the toys and still make them smaller for a bigger price.
I'll say that yes this is so much smaller than it used to be, but like this is a lot nicer compared to the CW version.

Ok, just calling it weird and wacky just didn’t give me a clear idea of what you thought oh his design. I think that this is the first video where you’ve just outright said you have an affection for the Armada designs.
Interesting. Yeah I mean they had some really silly elements, but when I was a kid I thought they were super cool, and now to me they are just fun.
I never had the original armada megatron has a kid but always did but did have Knock off version that I got at like a swap meet or something that was actually pretty good it broke eventually but that was after having it for like 8 to 10 years but lhe legacy version yup it the same transformation as the OG witch pretty neat I Definitely got to get this one

The crest on his chest not having the Decepticon logo is so weird because I'm like 99% positive he had that in the show. He didn't have it in every shot because it was a small part on him so distancing and angles meant it couldn't always be there but it was supposed to be.

A lot of people are saying that, and personally I don't get it, I think that color scheme is a lot more boring than this one.

The annoying thing I hate about all these Armada figures has Hasbro displayed them with their mini cons how difficult would it have been to put a mini Con wirh each of the figures
Honestly this probably could have come with a Minicon and I wouldn't have complained.
There are two things that I don't like about this figure: How easily the head pincers fall off, and how he just falls on his face and that's the transformation
I find it a bit more complicated than the Armada Prime they released in the transformation. Like at least there are those side panels that fold up, and i like the way the arms fold in.
Me is thinking: should I get the original one because of all the gimmicks and so he can interact with the few minicons that I have lonely standing around without a partner
Or should I get the legacy one for posing
I'd say that the Legacy one is more satisfying from a modern standard, but if you like older figures like that, I did think it was super cool as a kid.

In my opinion for armada megatron/galvatron. I feel like he shouldn’t have horns as megatron and only have them as galvatron. Also as I was typing this I saw the horns are removable

I might pick this up, I'm iffy on if I want the Armada stuff or not, even if despite for a few qc and build issues on a few of them, they look fantastic
