If you swing wide to the left before you take a right turn someone may try to past you on the right, not on the left.
It's common sense, I don't know why they missed it.
Exactly what I said!
@@PinchasEidelman-to1ut , it's common sense but the Filipina is just reading the Qs & As.
She's not comprehending any of it
I think what they're implying is, before you make a right turn, or even swing wide to left, you've already been signaling that you're about to make that right turn. Most drivers may not know that your vehicle off tracks considerably, and therefore requires you to make wide turns. The ignorant driver will end up passing you on the left, and this increases their chances of getting hit once you initiate the wide turn by partially "swinging" into the left lane.
I'm still learning but I think it would be a bad idea if someone engaged the parking brake at 65 MPH,
NEVER USE THE HAND BRAKE/PARKING BRAKE MAN!! It’s only used for parking for a reason so the truck doesn’t go downhill or start rolling on its own
This is the statement I literally ran to the comments to speak on
@@JustKev_21 Yes, this was sarcasm. I hope you understand 🤣
At 11:42 correct answer is: Someone might try to pass you on your right.
Yep
That is what I thought too
I went over that one like okay I gotta remind myself during the test how its the opposite of what actually makes sense
yes , thank you
I said the same thing.
How far ahead should you look while driving? Is 12 to 15 seconds not 10 to 12 seconds 🤦♂️
What happens if you swing wide to the left to turn right. That answer is wrong by saying someone migt try to pass you on the left. The correct answer is someone might try to pass you on the right. I see two answers are incorrect on this video.
10 to 12 seconds
@@darrylbrown6480 wrong! You should look ahead 12 to 15 seconds ahead of you. It’s on the DMV handbook bro
They got at least 2-3 of these wrong also what might happen if u swing wide to the left before turning right - it’s someone might try to pass on the right - not the left. 11:39
19:28 both also
After just taking the exam and failing, I can say that after finding this video many of these questions are on the test word for word!

When you are passing another vehicle pedestrian or bicycle you should assume that "they may move into your traffic lane" is the right answer...

In VA thats definitely true according to CDL Manual by Jeffery Diaz. I wonder what state this video is referring to?
Exactly...now I'm wondering how many others are different from what I've been studying! This ain't no joke..one wrong answer could make the difference from me passing and failing. Maybe I'm at the wrong place to be studying.
Yep
Implied consent means that you are operating a CMV on public roads you consent to "being tested for alcohol in your blood"

26:20 If the load is between 5 feet and 10 feet, no matter the weight, then use at least two tie-downs. And lastly, if the load is longer than 10 feet, use at least two tie-downs plus one additional tie-down for every additional 10 feet or part thereof.
So this video gives wrong answers?!!

To test your parking brake you set the parking brake and then move forward slowly and gently to make sure the parking brake works.
I caught that MASSIVE ERROR in the answer given! Lord have mercy to anyone that decides testing the parking brake at highway speeds is the correct answer!!!! @DrivingTV you need to fix that question/answer!!
In video says set the parking brake at highway speed 😮😂😂😂
46:18 Just caught this as well! Why the heck would you engage the parking brake at highway speeds! 🤦🏻♂️

EXPLANATION: Whenever you are about to pass a vehicle, pedestrian, or bicyclist, assume they don't see you, or that they could suddenly move in front of you. When it is legal, tap the horn lightly or, at night, flash your lights from low to high beam and back. Drive carefully enough to avoid a crash even if they don't see or hear you
Caution: a few of these answers are incorrect. Other than that I determine this as very useful.
How far ahead should you look when driving?
is wrong. it's supposed to be 12-15, not 10-12. Upset me because i dont know if im learning something that is wrong now. Seems all of these youtube exams have several wrong answers...
Again, shortly after What might happen if you swing wide left when turning right? It says Someone might try to pass you on your left, but the answer is Someone might try to pass you on your right.
Now i cant trust this at all. wtf.
Agree
They want you to read the updated CDL manual from the DMV. The tests are based off the booklet
46:14 dont try this 😂
I can't believe they said that lmao. Bruh
🤣🤣 unbelievable. How you gonna check the parking break at HIGHWAY SPEED?! Somebody gonna die ☠️🤦♀️🚫
You just gotta have the right mindset
You would never want to apply your parking brake at highway speeds to test it.
I know thats crazy. I think I'm going to look for another Playlist. I am in cdl training now and a good bit of these answers are wrong. I was using this as a refresher before I take my permit test. Not anymore 😢
In Oregon - The question how far should you look ahead while driving - According to DMV Oregon Driver Manual, the answer is 12-15 seconds. Page2-8 section 2.4 Seeing.
All questions and answers are the same in every state per Federal regulations and guidelines.
@@BW-kv9wj According to NJ CDL Manual the right answer is 12-15 seconds, I think you should correct this.
Also you need to correct: What might happen if you turn wide to the left before turn to the right? you said someone might try to pass on your left but the manual stated what already is logic "a following driver might think you are turning to the left and try to pass you on the right.
@@FrancDJS Yes Sir. 12-15 seconds in every state.

Good video ty just a note some of your answers are incorrect I believe 4 or 5 , I don’t want other to get wrong answers but compared the cdl manual they were incorrect. Tks again for helping us
Im about to go for my permit, what manual can I get for free?
I just came from NJ MVC after failed my 1st attempt of General Knowledge test from 50 Questions I passed 32 and this is what I learn. Please do not go to take the CDL Permit exam without read Official CDL Manual, do not waste your time thinking that just bc you watch these videos you will pass the test(I spent 18 hours watching these videos, I’ve watched 7 times each one)
I learned my lesson and surely I'll return and I will pass but you have to read the manual, these videos got a lot of mistakes, do not contain all the questions that MVC will through at you. The only security rely in that you read the manual and then take the test.
Na I passed first try with these videos . Skimmed thru the manual . Watched these videos 1-2 times , take the CDL prep app exams 3-4 times . Pass the test easy.
Where'd u get the manuel

My son takes cdl exam tomorrow..any tips?
for the question: IF a vehicle continues driving in my blind spot what should I do? Speeding up for CMV doesn't make sense, this is CMV we are talking about. Back Off would be the safest. 18:56
Why some answers are wrong? You should look 12 to 15 seconds ahead. Baffles separate the liquid, not bulkhead. When you swing wide to the left, someone might pass you on your right, not left...
Great help, but I think there is a couple of questions that need attention. Testing your parking brake at highway speed?
Yeah that doesn't make sense in ANY vehicle lol. I'm sure you set the parking brake then pull forward gently I've seen it done 100 times
Incorrect answer, how far to look ahead, 10 to 12 seconds. The correct answer is 12 to 15 seconds.
And I keep wanting to subscribe to OUT channel but I can't find it 😆
how far should look ahead while driving? not 10-12 sec. its 12-15 sec, its in the CDL hand book
Hang on a moment, the other test says you should look ahead 12-15 seconds, not 10-12 seconds as in this video. And I seem to recall other practice tests saying 12-15 seconds look ahead time as well. Now I know this test video cannot be trusted. She says when you swing wide left for a right turn, what could happen and says the answer is someone might try to pass you on the left, when in fact it is the right side someone might try to pass you. Whoever this lady is, she is wrong and I am going elsewhere for my study practice. What a shame. The other video with the guy was right, this lady does not know what she is talking about. Unsubscribed.
Why don't you make a video of your driver knowledge renewal?
There are a few wrong answers here. But the others mostly look good
For the question "What might happen if you swing wide to the left before you turn right?" the video states that the correct answer is "Someone might try to pass you on your left". I would say the correct answer is: "Someone may try to pass you on your right"
Yes some of her answers is wrong but it the depend on the states your at. Some states don’t agree with some answers on this QandA written test but I hope she mention which state is qualify with this Q and A.
test the parking brake at HWY speeds????? JEEEZUZ...set park brk pull forward gently
Many, many questions have absolutely nothing to do with how to operate and drive a semi, and many have nothing to do with the laws. Asking how much alcholo a liver can distill in one hour is ridiculous to say the least. Many are confusingly written and makes me wonder what idiots made this test and even passed it into law. Telling you not to swing wide left/right is ok when you have a lot of headroom to turn, but obviously, they have never tried to make some turns on small streets in small towns that I have been doing for 38 years.
Set the parking brake at highway speeds seems so bad !!! Lol shouldn’t it be set the parking brake and pull forward gently ?!?!
Some of this answers are wrong 😢 like what might happen if you swing wide to the left before you turn right? Is someone might try to pass you on your right not left

Another mistake: Axle weight is the weight transmitted to the ground by an axle or set of axles. These folks really need to proofread their own material.

38:03 When you are passing another vehicle, pedestrian or bicyclist you should assume that they: MAY MOVE INTO YOUR LANE OF TRAFFIC. You cannot assume they ‘will move’ because majority of the time we all know, they don’t. This answer is incorrect.
45:16 Cargo should be blocked from shifting in the front, sides, & back down to the deck. Your answer is wrong. Why would I only block it in the front? I’m pretty sure implied consent is checking yourself for alcohol not the vehicle
