the answer on the question on 18:23 about tractor protection valve is NOT "PARKING" it's "EMERGENCY" brakes will come on.

I just went over that one and got it wrong knowing it should have been emergency. I knew I wasn’t tripping lol

In one of these questions it says “Before backing under a trailer the:” and this video says the answer is “Air brakes are off” that’s incorrect. The answer is “the trailer brakes should be locked”
I’m glad someone pointed this out I have the answers from a trucking school and the correct answer is “trailer breaks should be locked”

Passing the CDL test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr James

06/29/23 here in cali just passed all three test using these drive TV videos the questions and answers are the same ones you see in these videos. I recommend studying and taking the test one day at a time because it's alot of information to take in all at once but doing them at separate times and days helps alot at least thats what worked for me

There's one question on here 2 times once at 10:20 and again at 25:35. The second question at 25:35 is the correct answer..(A).. Fyi-Trailers do not have drive tires.

I was skeptical about his practice test and got confirmation on the
" Jacknife" question. One answer is given early in the practice test and a different answer is given toward the end of this test. Other answers were questionable, I'll have to re-read the DMV book again.
SEVERAL were questionable, especially about the tractor jackknife. Two different answers for the same question.

I passed!!! In GA, there were 2-3 questions on the exam not in the video, everything else is damn near word for word!

03/22/24 cali. This video helped a lot. I can confirm that this video gives you all the questions on the dmv test. Would have gotten a 100%, but i second guessed myself and got one wrong lol.
A major leak in the emergency line will cause the tractor protection valve to close and the trailer emergency brakes to come on. But the brakes will hold only as long as there is air pressure in the trailer air tank. Eventually, the air will leak away and then there will be no brakes.

I think it depends on what you are looking to drive. For me I scheduled my general knowledge, air brakes, and combination vehicles tests all on the same day. I assume it depends on what class and what job you are working towards.

Just passed my test in California today 5/10/2024 and with the exception of the corrections in the comments for a couple of the questions that were wrong every other question was right! This video really did help me!!!. Guys read the comments and check for a couple of the questions that are incorrect. For the most part this video is great!!

As of 03/28/2023, living in North Dakota, I took the combination portion of the test and ended up getting a 16/16 because of this video. It’s literally verbatim and couldn’t have passed without it!
Same I only skipped one question. Got up to 12 or 13 without any problems. Skipped one and got the next 3 or 4. Got none wrong. Anyway anyone else if you are not 100 percent sure skip it and go to next question. You be surprised to see a repeat of the same question but worded different. Great information

Nino what the hell, you can clearly read each question yourself as she speaks, just be appreciative of the video being out there for them to make your life a whole lot easier. People have dialects and many were not born in this country, a true land of immigrants.
Agreed. Bad pronunciation and cadence is distracting. She says coupling wrong, king pin wrong, glad hands wrong, even with the blanks, she does them wrong. Terrible narrator.

It’s not the same exact question format, it’s just averagely put together, prepare yourself really well because for me in GA it’s been tough.

I watched video Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Monday and Tuesday morning. Got 12 or 13 in a row correct. Skipped one and got the last 3 or 4 no problem. 17 questions. . 16 questions and it shuts off passed. Very good test.
It ask what is a tractor jackknife two or three times but I know it’s not the same answer for the same question mistake was made there otherwise good video

If anyone here can help me out with a question please, I have a class B commercial license with a hazmat endorsement but I’m currently studying with a school to get my A. I have two questions, one school told me since I have the class B already for my permit, all I would have to take is my combinations test, the one I am with right now says I have to take the gen. Knowledge & air brakes along with the combination. So I wanted to know which one was true. Second question would be if my endorsement would transfer over or if I would have to try for it again.
Wish she could pronounce the words correctly as im listening with headphones and it’s very confusing, also she doesn’t pause with commas , and just reads like a robot.

A lot of these questions are extra and aren't on the test from what I've heard.

When you lock up the drive tires on the trailer and the trailer spins out sideways as the tractor continues to push forward, and on 25:40 it asks again what is a Tractor jackknife once again but this time it says that it is A.)When you lock up the drive tires on the tractor and the tractor spins out sideways as the trailer continues to push forward, I've also checked the CDL handbook and it is definitely A for the tractor Jackknife on the trailer jackknife then it will be B
When backing up to a trailer the trailer brake should be locked, you have the air break should be off, pls recheck this one as I just missed it on the test,…. It’s about 6 questions I had that wasn’t on this exam!! But I did just passed it on the first try by remembering all

The answer at 14:07 is also wrong. It should be to make sure the trailer brakes are locked.

I need to get my combination because I already have a CDL B commercial drivers license. If you just need to upgrade your license to A license then you only need but still have to pay the amount of DMV fees for permit. I been watching the video every day combination this week. I'll try next week to get my permit.... edit.. i just passed my Combination endorsement for my class A today Tuesday. Thanks again for this video. Took it in Massachusetts. August 1st.
