Thanks! This is really cool design. Looks like two tweeters, two woofer drivers, and two passive radiators. I just picked up my 2nd one of these and I'm looking forward to messing around with the double-up "stereo linking".
@ That practice may be illegal and violate the Magnuson-Moss act. Also, a reminder that Requiring customers to pay for shipping or insurance for shipping is illegal. Contact the FTC if they try this shit. JBL does it.
Thanks for this! I brought mine on a roadtrip and when I used it at the destination it started rattling. I will take it apart tomorrow at work and see if I can fix it.
Figured if people are watching this video is because they wonderboom stopped working and they want to figure out how to fix it. My wonderboom took a couple of falls, after the last one no sound would come out, but everything else seemed to work fine. It would connect to bluetooth which helped me confirm volume buttons worked. Battery charged as normal, etc. Turns out when the wonderboom fell down, the two circuit boards all the way to the bottom separated. I just had to take my wonderboom apart, press the two circuits back together (there are pins you have to line up), then it started working. Took me less than 30 minutes, including time to look up the videos!
Mine stopped taking a charge and now only blinks rapidly and makes the sound. No light when plugged in. Warranty is en route, but is there any way I can repair the issue myself?
Me paso igual se callo y no quiere cargar me estuvo funcionando enchufado pero ahora nada solo prende la luz q está cargando pero lo desenchufo y no prende ☹️
Hello bro, you know if I can remove the bottom side where the outdoor button is? It doesn't work on my WB2, I press the button for 2, 5, 10, 15 seconds and the light never turns on :(
@@zerodollazs6768 nope, modern day lithium ions and charging systems don't work like that, plugging it in indefinitely will have near zero effect on battery performance
@@SuperSocks7 It will have a *slight* effect on the battery, in the sense that it wont hold a charge for as long as it used to, but that might not be that much of a problem
@@robinjohannessen787 well, nearly all devices built after 2016 simply don't charge the battery when its plugged in and full. it limits how many amps reach the battery at any time and can just cut off the flow when full. you battery will suffer no consequences from this, and will always be charged. granted the only reason this happens now is because we had a period of exploding samsung's. When the rest of the corporate industry decided they didn't want to get sued for blowing up their products by overcharging the battery, this simple mechanic was introduced and is now a required norm. my point being battery ageing comes from the battery repeatedly going down to near zero and then being charged up again, its unavoidable and completely normal. leaving your battery plugged in has zero effect on battery performance
@@kareemb3492 No! Are you stupid? Its the same with go 3, i took the fabric cover off, and its 100% waterproof! And i seen a video of ue wonderboom 2 put in water without fabric, and still works! The waterresistance comes not from the fabric, but how sealed is the plastic are.
@@chillinggamerplotagonxxx8244 A bit harsh, but yeah water proofing doesn't come from the fabric/mesh. When the 4 screws on each speaker are taken out, you then have to pry the speakers as they are glued/sealed, making the waterproof. Then, to take the 4 screws out from the top, again you can see how he breaks the thin latex type tape covering the holes. To making it waterproof again I am guessing some silicone around the base of the two speakers, and them some silicone on top of the screws on top that had the latex like covering on top.
Hello, My wonderboom2 just; stopped . I still not able to turn the power on. No light no sounds no music. The audio IC is gone but i don't know Where can i fix it ? Which Audio IC wonderboom2 actually use?
I stuck with the JBL Flip 4 because I prefer the stereo to the mono of the Flip 5. I have 3 x Flip 4 that I connect with my JBL Xtreme 2 for surround sound. Just bought a Wonderboom 2 to see what they're like.
I have two of these and my experience is that the Outdoor Mode button applies an EQ to the audio, effectively boosting the high and mid ranges tremendously to give more "distance" to the sound when outdoors.
I found one of these ultimate ears Wonder Boom in grey with yellow volume button at the skate park where i live a couple of months ago when i had taken the dog's out that evening it was on the table at the skate park, And a day or more after my brother found either two on the same morning or one one morning & the other the following morning one was made by ultimate ears & the Mega Boom i think, Obviously kids or teenagers drinking & smoking cannabis etc,etc or whatever it is they do & are out of there heads & obviously forget to take them with them.

there is 2 dual drivers and 2 passive radiators....no tweeters there mate :)
@@djscritch1 cool thanks for that clarification!
The greenish "tweeters" are the volume buttons
For anyone wondering, yes you will be able to assemble it back together, the top snaps back on with some force.
And yes, it will lose its warranty and wont be waterproof anymore

Yes it still will be waterproof because it is only a cover to protect the speakers not for waterproof

Can i use this while permanently connected to a charger? Like a permanent speaker for a pc?
No it’s a portable speaker type of question is that

A question? If I remove the coating like in the video, does it still have water resistance?
no
@Jbl_Bass_lord_ 150 it doesnt, the water resistance comes from the fabric/mesh on the coating

Better than the JBLs which have only one diver and two passives
I dislike how they went to mono from the earlier stereo setup

So what does the outdoor mode do?
I have two of these and my experience is that the Outdoor Mode button applies an EQ to the audio, effectively boosting the high and mid ranges tremendously to give more "distance" to the sound when outdoors.
It doesn't boost, it attenuates bass so it can play louder with less distortion.
My audio is playing in one of these while listening to this

It's not working I need to ur help plz

Why would you get sued for removing the cover ... If you want to clean it properly then you need to be able to remove the cover.
