I absolutely adored the movie. In fact, each of the four times I watched, I continued to unravel the depth of the characters and their unique place in the world and the world they existed it. A must watch! Helen Mirren is superb.
I beg you to watch the international thriller and Hungarian version of this movie. it shows a completely different person, One is a psychopath who does what ever she does but she is right at the end and the other a woman who is so very soft wise intelligent who knows everything just before it happen.
It was her cats. Shes only alowed 1 but shes been taking in strays. However she has a stroke during the winter and cant leave the house the smell they complain about is all the rotting food and cat poo thats in the house- She cant clean because she has been paralysed by the stroke. They eventually break down the door and get her to hospital. (I read the book and the storys alot better than it sounds! Its all about te cost of helping others and trying to do what is right for them)
