    Take care of the order of glide rings and putting oil after putting shock in as seen in rock shox official service video. good video though, so grateful there are people like you showing a step-by step guide so people who haven't done it before can follow. Thanks!!

    9:39 you got the glide rings in the wrong order. Thicker one goes on the bottom in that orientation..

      ealge eyes, did the service following this one and got the shock way stiffer as a result, tomorrow putting it back in right order

    What do you add to the 50 hours seals, for a 200 hour service ?

  • @OTWW

    Awesome. Do you also plan a 200 hours servicing Video?

    You have fitted the white back-up/glide rings on the main bearing in the wrong orientation. The thicker back-up ring should be near the upper eyelet end of the shock. Installing them the way you have will not allow the seal to equalise the negative air chamber correctly.

    Thank you for this interesting video. Have a question: I have to rotate the shaft of my new Deluxe ultimate shox of 90 degrees because of the insertions of my eBike frame but I have some difficulties. I released all the air inside the shox but, using my hands, it’s really heavy to rotate the shaft of 90 degrees. Any idea to do that? Thank you. Have a good Sunday. Max

    In the Rockshox service manual, it says to use the complete pillow pack of 15w-50 oil in the air can. You said it doesn't work as well with a bunch of oil in there. So now I'm a tad confused. lol

    After doing the service i heard grinding noise when i compress the shock. Is that normal? It doesn’t exist before.

    Did anyone else get to the part where they need to unscrew the air can and realise that theirs is unbelievably tight? Literally no chance by hand

    This video needs to be taken down, glide rings wrong order and wrong amount of oil. It should be half the pack in the lower and upper, so 1ml in upper & lower. Refer to SRAM service manuals, never trust YT videos. I’ve had to strip my shock down and do properly, the smaller guide ring was trashed after installing this way. So also cost me another service kit!! FFS.

  • @novasmtb4295

    A seal kit is not
    necessary if the shock worked properly.

    • @mfa81
      @mfa81 4 года назад +2

      until it doesn’t! seal kit costs $20 bucks, if you are cleaning and regreasing no reason not to replace the air can seal!

    • @kleinkurti
      @kleinkurti 4 года назад +3

      @@mfa81 just check the seals and if they are fine, there is no reason to put new ones in
