What did you think of this video? What do you want to see Henry do some more servicing in real time? Let us know!
Full fork service
My 50 pence for refitting the air can. Wind the rebound to fully slow counting the amount of clicks then when you compress the shock it stays down! Makes engaging those pesky threads a whole lot easier.
Yes! More please!
This is a great thing. This way it's much more specific and you can see exactly everything you need to do. Although I was kinda disappointed that he didn't show the removal of the shock from the bike. It's a small thing and probably can see it in other videos but still.. Would be nice if it were really 'start to finish'
GMBN Tech please service a whole bike in real time
This is priceless. Please do more of these 'deep-dives'.
Ideas:
-- Front Forks
-- Mechanical & Hydraulic Brakes
-- Front/Rear Derailers
-- Dropper Seats
-- Cranks
Yeah dropper seats please
Nice guide. could you do a real time fork service?
Yea defo
I third this. Love working on my own stuff, despite the "support your LBS" mentality. I just don't have the funds for certified service =]
Yea they should also do a fox shock real time one. Preferably dpx2
Great shout! 🤙
@@jackbeames7643 they have done a fork service on fox
Fork service plz. Great work thanks.
Yeah!
No difference. It's almost the same
If Bob Ross was a bike mechanic. Happy little seals
Gustavo Curiche hahah so true
Hah! I was thinking the same thing. Bob Ross used to lower my blood pressure about 30 points whenever I watched him and Henry did the same thing. Very low key; very detailed. That is not a knock by any means.
Absolutely love this.
Too many guides always have some part being "After this, just do this and this, but thats so easy that we don't show it here"
Great stuff, thank you! full guides like this are one more great addition to the great range of gmbn content!
don't know if it's just me. but besides the real good explanation his calming voice makes this much better to understand anyhow.
More of this please!
Love these kind of vids!
Awesome work! Love the format, Henry!
Boom! Air can service done. This and the video Doddy did before gave me total confidence in doing this myself. Piece of cake once you’ve got the tools and the knowledge.
Great video guy's! Henry clearly knows what he's talking about and explains things very clearly, would love to see more of these kind of video's!
Great format. Please keep doing maintenance videos just like this one. Very, very useful!
Awesome vid. We need more real time vids like this so we amateurs can see each step clearly and understand the process. Keep up the great work! GMBN Tech is the best!
Yeah.... This was great. Enjoyed it. Do more. Nice job Henry.
Great video!! Really like this format... Do more videos like this on forks, brakes drivetrain etc...
Keep them coming!!
Great guide! Henry, your videos are so helpful! Thanks. :)
Excellent video (as always), I really love the "real time" idea, much more helpful for when you do it yourself and because it is such a fully comprehensive video,it also gives you more faith in what you're about to do.👍👍👍
You should do a video on the 200 hour service for rockshox forks or forks in general
isn't the 200 hour service an almost complete internals replacement?
@@M3PH11 from what I understand from the service instructions provided by rockshox online it's replacing the seals and orings and bleeding the dampers
@@chrismorris9396 They recommend a lower leg service after 50 hours and full out internal replacements after 100 hours last time I checked for 2015-2018 forks.
Just did mine, A lot easier than i thought it was going to be, Massive thanks to Henry and GMBN for this video
Great guide. Looks like something I could easily take on myself and never would have considered without seeing something like this!
Great video Henry, very thorough, thank you! Please do more of these! I'd especially like to see servicing a freehub, servicing/replacing linkage bearings.
YES please do make more of these of overlooked bike service types of videos you can do at home. I really love to see the inner workings of the shocks and bits none the less too. I find it interesting.
Hey Henry, I'm so grateful that you did this extremely useful video.
My air shock also wants to thank you for not being worn down :D
I also like your way of presenting and lecturing alot, to satisfy the curiosity of tech nerds like me.
And sharing your special tips and tricks with us, so thank you!
Cracking video! I like the real-time aspect! Real-time service/repair videos like this are really good ideas! You could do loads like this forks bb’s hubs headsets make it a series! Be nice to see a full service done as well
Really enjoyed this live time video. Great concept!
Great tutorial. Can always learn something new from the show.
Very Good! Yes more videos like this. 👍
Great video, thank you, I see my self doing what you are doing, since if I'm not being carefull when doing my mechanic it will cost me money in the long in the run. Keep it up, love your videos.
Great video yet again guys. Very helpful
love these real time services
Absolutely want to see more of these
Great video guys. More of the same please. It really helps when you are trying a service for the first time having a guide to make sure you aren’t going to damage your bike. More of the same please. How about a bearing service for your rear pivot on a suspension bike. Things to look out for etc.
Awesome video, makes the service so much less daunting.. really awesome format, loved it. Thank you. Off I go to service me shock.
Great video dude. Need more of these.
Finally... a service video y real time... 😃👏👏👏🚲🌲
Please mor of this !
Especially the "real time" feature is so relaxing :-)
Thank you for doing this. More please!
Love this type of proper servicing Henry made that look simple and easy enough that most people could tackle it.
Lower fork service next please then bleeding Sram brakes...
Great video mate
Excelent Henry! Just in time for me. Followed the instructions and it was just as easy.
More of those please!
Can you do a full service of fork and shock?
Thank you. Loved this video so much, I'm now going to service my shock whilst playing this video.
[Edit]
Just services my Manitou Radium Expert. The video was perfect. I struggled getting the air cover off, so went back to removing it with it attached to the bike. Worked a treat with just hands and no strap. Struggled getting back on but that's because I want applying enough pressure when twisting
Liked the real time service video, bring on some more!
Brilliant, more real time maintenance videos please. 👏
Loved it, thanks for the same shoot, would love to see more of these video's..
Excellent video.
Top stuff guys. This is the next job I want to do on my bike so an impeccably timed video and very helpful.
Forks, droppers, brakes and wheel truing in the same format please 🤙
Thanks, really liked that and would like to see more!
Great video henry!
Totally loved it!!
Great demo, thanks.
This is great!! Would love the same kind of video for a fork service and maybe even both coil fork and coil rear shock
I love these kinds of videos
Great video, do more of the same format. I think this type of video works better at setting a process for maintenance and general care. Thanks.
Always good to watch these, usually a tip or two I can pick up despite having done these services for years on my bikes. Sadly neither of my bikes have shocks that can be serviced like this, both are CCDB Airs, no home tinkering on those!
Great stuff. Fork shock service next please :)
Great video! Yes do more like this.
Awesome tutorial! It would be a great idea to do all the periodic maintenance service guides. Forks, Hydraulic brake bleed and pad changes, cable changes, shifter maintenance and so on.
If your struggling to reseat the Can then slowing down the rebound to minimum helps.
A cheap 1 - 3mm syringe is good for adding an accurate quantity of float fluid to the can.
I also personally crack the Can on the bike then remove the shock.. much better than putting a hex through the eye IMO.
Excellent video. More more more.
More please! It would be great to see a front fork service next!
Nice to know even this job isnt rocketscience, common sense is all you need. Nice vid Henry my man. 💎👌
this tipe of video is awesome
A good trick: when installing the can, turn the rebound to maximum!
It will fight the IFP pressure so you'll have more time to screw on the can before the main shaft extends.
Even better one: Install shock with aircan not screwed on. Then compress shock (just lean on a saddle) and then screw the can fully :)
Another tip - you can unscrew it the same way. Just remember to unscrew it while compressed.
the real-time stuff is awesome
Brilliant video, thankyou
Brilliant. More please
Yes loved it followed along too 👍👊
Can I see a real-time video of Doddy doing his hair, please?
Thank you.Your video is very helpfull.
Very helpful. Thanks!
Ace video, fork service would be great also thanks
thank you so much. great video
Great video and explanation! And more because I have the same shock :)
Nice one Henry.. 😎
This is great.
More videos like this please!!!
I felt you where so much more informative than SRAM’s videos. Thank you.
Excellent video more would be good
Definitely good style of vid! You guys should do more maybe an in depth full shock service and lower leg form service? Would love to see some better videos on in depth shock servicing!
Great video... 👍🏽
Great video. My RS Monarch really needs service, so I will follow the steps in this video. Thanks 👍
Awesome, hope this video helps! 👍
Just make sure you don't use RS 3wt damping fluid in your air can.
Also be sure to check RS's service site for the correct way to do a air can service. This is riddled with small mistakes and potential safety issues.
great tutorial vid
The Bob Ross of mountainbike maintenance! ✌️
philippfib good one mate! You gotta love the modern MTB art👊😄
Great vid Henry. Had some great tips off you since you've been at GMBN. Fork uppers would be good and the duration between this sort of service.
Big thumbs up for this
Nice guide
more of these please :)
More videos like this👌🏼👌🏼
Good stuff!
great video!!!
Very helpful video, thanks! Can you do another video just like this but for forks please?
Awesome video guys keep making great videos
Thanks Mike 🤘
very nice please more
Great video. Key notes: let the air out slowly!!! Did two of these, the first one I let all the air out at once, and it boom when screwing off
This is the first bike video ever one could confuse with Bob Ross (Joy of painting) :D
That was good keep it up
Absolutely ace, well done, very useful. Now can you do the same for a fork and maybe even break the stages down on separate clips. Brill
Great video Henry, liked the style and the little extra tips. Could you do a service on a Lyrik next please.
More of this!
