Tom is a gentleman and gives his attention.
Plus Catherine set that up perfectly for someone who isn’t familiar with her work. And she wasn’t bothered by the fact he didn’t know her work. They shared a mutual respect for craft.
So so funny to see Catherine her real self morph into Nan character in interview. I have watched many times and still giggle.
Catherine Tate is a wonderful comedian and actress. Her Christmas sketch playing a nurse with George Michael as the patient is fantastic. She's my favourite Doctor Who companion, and I didn't expect that beforehand even tho I knew she was really funny; she brought such depth to Donna Noble.
And i like Catherine in the reboot of Ducktales (She was the voice of Magica De Spell)
It amazes me how old she is but still looks weirdly young.

When we were kids we had dinner ladies and lunchtime supervisors who were a similar age to Nan and talked like that. It was hilarious and shocking at the same time.

I bet that from 2:00-2:01 that old lady had probably experienced the whole drama school kids trying to bring back happy memories by singing songs from the past thing perhaps a little too much. Just the tone alone screams that she probably had one too many of that experience happening over and over again. I can just imagine the entire situation....an unimpressed old woman just sits there rolling her eyes and her arms crossed and a hoarde of unenthusiastic old people just sitting there in boredom watching these all too eager kids try to sing to them. Dear god that would be a sight to see.
