I lost the argument in my comment about "nobody wanting to buy a Mustang for $300k." I will accept the L. I realize there was flaws in my logic and I was gonna make a great point, but I already screwed up from the beginning so I deleted that comment. As a man I tip my hat to everyone who called me out and corrected me. You were right.

Probably doesn’t help that he’s been flaming ford for months . He called the project the lemon mustang… also he had the chance to make a unique design but he chose to copy 💁
Presenting a complete replica and cost-effective alternative to a $300k car they are presenting at a huge car show is common sense. What else would Ford have done? They do not need TJ Hunt to sale cars, he needs Mustangs to sell that kit. They have the power.
I think the biggest problem is that Ford hasn't even released the GTD and now some guy is trying to showcase the same car at SEMA . Hunt should have been smarter and tried showing off the car next year or a different show not the exact same show Ford is taking the GTD like come on man that's some ego... Should have waited now he's in hot water over this just my two cents its not the kit but the timing.

@@JaviVibes there's body kits for so many cars out there and big companies never come after the manufacturer of the kits but the kits aren't displayed before the car is released or at the SAME SHOW I like TJ but for real what was he thinking let the GTD release and make mad bank after with those sick body kits a few months later.
Sometimes i believe you get so big in the automotive community. Working with big brands like the ones he works for. That at some point one can start to think, that is ok to do this kind of moves. But unfortunately is not!
Plagiarism isn’t cool kids. It’s clearcut plagiarism and he’s being sued because the car isn’t even out yet..

Sorry but there was a lot of R&D that went into developing the Mustang GTD and FORD wanted one lineup for the collectors. Now a third party comes and tries to rip their design and beat Ford to the market. Imagine being someone who spent 300,000 on a GTD thinking it was a rare Mustang just to have every regular Mustang look like it.
The exclusivity is the caveat we all should accept period. if Ford doesn't care about the exclusivity why would they collab with TJ when they can sell the REAL body kit themselves. This whole thing didnt make any sense reason being why put yourself and ur livelihood in between basically risk your relationship to car manufacturer. Im a big believer of, The toes you step on today might be connected to the ass that you'll kiss tomorrow" but then again maybe theres some personal reason behind it like real personal lol.
The problem, It's called Design Trademarks and his is literally a 90-95% copy of the GTD and I can see Ford winning the case in court....

Ford sold us an S550.650 and then ripped off the Porsche GT3 RS aero and put it on their GTD. They got mad at TJ for ripping off their rip off move. Too much money on the table. Meanwhile, my 60k S650 has screen freezing issues and Ford has recently been served with huge fines for not dealing with recall issues promptly.
The problem is this kit wouldnt exist without the GTDs influence / design features, pretty sure ford wouldn’t care if it didn’t look so similar. Go ahead snd copy street hunters design change a few things and see why the response is.
They should see it as something that will boost the sales of the Mustang
Javier what will fit is the 3.6 will fit and it will turbo up to 485 rwhp. DRIVE TRAIN ENGINEER.
You have R&D working on something exclusive for a specific clients, you spend hundreds for testing and design and then that kid from nowwhere made the same kit for every mustang and try to rip you off and get pocket money for it copying your work
Streethunters have skills to make something brethtaking and they copy the exact design it's just bonkers

His kit looks similar to the ford kits but it’s different in many ways, but TJ didn’t exact copy anything from Ford.
Fords just upset cause TJ actually got something done that ford can’t capitalize on

If anyone watched the videos when to hunt bought the mustang he had issues with the motor a bran new motor.the first time he took it back they said they fixed it but they didn't it was still making the same noise that a bran new motor shouldn't make so ford had to give to hunt a bran new motor because the first motor was wrecked and to hunt did nothing to the motor.it.was completely stock that's why he called it a lemon so before u people say anything watch to hunts videos on the mustang from the very first video of him buying it and then they had to give.him a whole new motor.because the first one was not right
People are underestimating how good the GTD will perform and will out perform a mustang.

Ford didn't design the GTD they commissioned Multimatic to design and make the car. Ford assembled the kit that they made for it.
The GTD rear fenders appear to be steel, and not a fiberglass kit. I bet it has plastic rear wheel well liners as well. It looks like a Camaros rear fenders. So it might cost a bunch because it has a different chassis or body.
ok then they paid for the work to be done and own the rights to the kit... simple as that.
Ford is only building 1000 examples. The kit would push even more sales of mustangs. Everybody wins. The kits will be placed on mustangs ford builds. They need to chill.
stealing someone's design, making a bunch of money off of it, then arguing it would be good exposure for the original company doesn't fix the fact that its still blatant theft.

Let's face it no stang is worth 300k, if your buying a stang worth 300k your simply compensating for something you lack elsewhere, it's like buying a mazda cx90 for cream coloured interior when you could get a cx9 for 50k less and have black interior, nothing but a dick pull
When you got thousands of people paying 400k for a GTD ford is t going to make a cheap version and drop the value of the exclusive car.
Ford could of hired TJ as a designer when it comes to Ford Mustang projects 🤷🏼

Ford is tripping, what’s the difference of all those companies selling those 427 Cobra kit cars or those Ferrari kits made out of Fiero’s. You don’t see Honda going after these knock off Type-R’s. I see it as Tj paying homage to Ford and giving the public an opportunity to build something that looks similar to something that only the 1# could afford. In my opinion Ford only makes themselves look bad and give Tj even more attention.

Why is ford making a 350k mustang that is not going to be its top seller gord should made the gts looking like this for 60k nooooo they rather go after the guy whos trying to help the enthusiasts of mustangs to make ur own version of gtd ....why spend 350k on a mustang when u can get a lambo or Ferrari or McLaren 😂

I don't understand what the complaints are from people about this body kit. It's like this guy says, this will attract more people to buy the S650 just because of the body kit. The average Mustang owner doesn't have the money to buy a car of the caliber of the GTD. It's like Porsche; many people are buying the base 911 model and adding the GT3RS kit, and what is Porsche doing about it? NOTHING, because Porsche knows that it's just a body kit and that those base 911 models with the body kit will never be the same as the GT3RS. I'm not saying it's right to replicate the kit, but if you think about it for a few minutes, as I said before, the average Mustang owner doesn't have the money to buy a six-figure Mustang. Besides, it would only be the body kit; it wouldn't have the AWD system or the same handling as the original.

@JaviVibes I'll go even deeper: look at Mercedes and the GT Black Series. There are people selling the body kit to convert a GT into a GT Black Series, and what does Mercedes say? NOTHING, just like Porsche. I think the hate comes more from the fact that it's TjHunt doing it, not some Chinese store on AliExpress.
