It's now 2021 and I think ALL of us should write WACOM and tell them we are going to never buy any of their crap products again if they can't get a decent driver working with Windows 10. I've written them and since they are a Japanese company, I told them I believe it is extremely dishonorable to sell a person an expensive product and not support it anymore along with finally fixing their driver issues. They should work directly with Microsoft and Apple to fix the issues and be done with it. I'm sick of WACOM, the Costs involved and then they stop supporting their expensive products hoping to make more money from individuals spending another $2500-$3500 just to stay in business. Most big businesses would scrap Wacom too if they found an alternative company such as the Microsoft Graphics Tablet or the HUION Tablets. It usually takes an act of God to get a big business to purchase a $3,000-$3,500 tablet with letters of "Justification" etc;, only to have their drivers not work due to some obscure block from a firewall issue or virus software. In addition Virus Software programs are destroying computer speeds drastically to 50% or more along with encryption programs - creating dramatic lag. It's too the point if you have to work on a tablet, you need a computer OFF of the internet completely with no network or computer access whatsoever. Just a Graphics computer (stand-alone) and since it's 2021 - that is unacceptable! Furious at wasting an entire day and what was supposed to work now doesn't no matter what "answer" some one comes up with. Windows probably did an upgrade and destroyed the USB or Driver connection with Wacom and didn't realize it. Usually what happens as well and that is why Wacom would do well to actually communicate with Microsoft and/or Apple. They don't want to as they stupidly see them now as of course, competition.
Ironically when I first got the intuos around 2018ish the drivers worked fine And then I moved to another com and tried to install the driver again and BOOM! Restart for days

Use sketchy programs to remove every possible wacom item possible in safe mode and restart and every time I do I feel less like I have an option and it never works. You just solved my problem. I've been trying to find a *real* permanent fix for this for a year now. Don't tell them to fix their drivers, let them really know what happens when you treat your customers this badly. (they always deflect it, "It's windows fault" or "it's photoshop's fault." Just buy from another company. Huion, as an example, now has a battery-free tablet. I have a Surface Pro, and it works pretty dang well too. I figure after ten years of sub-par service from Wacom, enough is enough.

Especially when my computer automatically logs out after a certain time, the drivers seem to have the 'not running' issue and it suggests that I restart my computer. Fortunately i found your method and it saved me some time, thanks!

This saved a lot of time for me, thank you for this video! I run into a problem with my Wacom tablet almost every time my PC goes to "rest" mode and when I open it again the tablet driver has stopped wotking and restarting takes quite a hefty time. It's good to know that there's altearnative ways to fix this issue! :)

I used to say "Way-Com" until I called their tech-support and heard them call it "walk'em". Apparently, they're Walk'em tablets! Funny thing is, When I dual-booted into Ubuntu or Crunchbang (or later Crunchbang++ on a really old notebook) all those OS'es recognized Wacom tablets natively, and didn't need any extra drivers installed!
I’m in 2023 and the driver on a brand new cintiq is still doing that shit. It stops working at least once a day. Wacom should provide an official driver reset solution. Resetting the computer every time is absurdly annoying.
