Thanks for taking me on the trip with you. I am turning 81 next week and my husband of almost 60 years died a little over a year ago. We use to get up and decide to go somewhere for a day and really did not know where but it always ended up a wonderful, fun day for us. Please continue to make memories because that is all I have left. I can't even leave my home without someone having to take me so my outings now are to appointments. I love the store you were in and especially loved the wooden windchimes--I thought they were so neat. I love you two and you are a comfort to me when I am so lonely. Love, Marie in NC

What a joy to experience this with you. For some reason this touched my heart deeply and stirred some emotion in me. I have always wanted to live down in Arkansas....my Aunt had a place down there, not sure of the town. She had an ice cream shop/parlor...my regret is that I never went down to spend time with her....I miss her so much! Thanks so very much....Love you all!!

Hi Miss Lori, I want to thank you for taking me on your little adventure. My husband and I used to go out for a drive quite often before he passed. It’s been 6 months now and I miss him terribly. But we had some great times on our little adventures. I like to drive and go just about anywhere. Thank the Lord I haven’t gotten lost yet. That town of Hardy looked so inviting. That’s my kind of place. Well, really, I like just driving through places like that. I’m not a shopper, but I like driving through little towns and a lot of back roads. When I’m a little down, or it’s a rainy afternoon, these outings always make me happy...something about simpler times, hand-worn pieces, the love created by them. I loved that you took time off and run away! It's a time of refreshment that we all need at times. We have been so busy with a building project in which we majorly downsized in the process and just feel worn out. I told my husband it's time for a break so maybe we need to run away as well. Made your beef casserole for dinner last night and it was so simple and delicious that my husband said this was a “do over” for sure! Also made your lemon layer fluff for dessert for our Easter meal, another Whippoorwill success. The only thing better would have been if you and Mr. Brown were at our table with us!

I’ve used RADA knives, utensils, dips and soups for years. Around 30 years ago I bought my kids sets of RADA knives for their families. I love the ice cream scoop & spatulas. ♥️
I always love going to Hardy with you, and those hutches and Pyrex are some of my favorites! Love Mammoth Springs too! We had 19 degrees this morning, after 40* mph winds the last couple of days. And a little snow yesterday. Fruit trees probably won’t produce anything this year. Xoxoxo

Running away is fun sometimes and I just loved your little adventure. When you were filming in the antique shop I noticed Campbell Soup mugs. My father worked at Campbell Soup as an electrical engineer and we had all things Campbell Soup. I remember using those mugs for tomato soup all the time as a kid. I loved the wood shop you were in. So many beautiful things and so much talent. I would love to get my brother in law one of those Red Sox signs. I hope they have a website. Thanks for taking us along when you ran away.

I, too, love the Rada knives. I had occasion to call them, and they pronounce their name “Ray-da”, in case you care. Lol I have several of their knives and they are super sharp and very affordable!!

My mama had the salt & pepper shakers that look like “boiled corn ears”, and there was also a small pitcher that matched them for pouring melted butter over your boiled ears of corn on the cob or a big bowl of popped popcorn! I have no idea what happened to those!!🌽

Hardy plays a very important role in my life. My Daddy, at age the age of 20, was sent to Hardy to teach the veterans from WWII how to farm. While teaching at Hardy he made a trip to Batesville and met a White River Water Carnival bathing beauty who became his wife. The start of their marriage was spent in a boarding house run by 2 sisters and located on the Main Street of Hardy. My siblings, my Daddy, and I will forever be grateful to to these ladies as they taught Momma to cook. Growing up we spent a few summer vacations in the Batesville/Hardy/Cherokee Village/ Spring River area.

Love Hardy! Have been to The Corner Booth many times! We love walking up and down the main street and visiting the shops too! I miss the beauty of that area!! We always stopped in Mammoth Springs on the way through. The park at the visitors center is amazing.
