If you dry the baby wipes, and stack a few together, you can die cut some beautiful flowers/leaves with them 😊
Oh that's a fab idea!!! Thank you
I don’t think, I think
outside the box as much as I should but this video is AMAZING!!!
Thank you Sasha x what a revelation this is!
Cool, who'd of thought
I love your fun ideas! Your cards turned out so beautifully. I can’t wait to try this technique. 😊
So fun! Now I can get my stash of photo paper out and use it up! Thanks
Sasha, you are sooooo creative! WOW, WOW, WOW!
Love all the things you are doing with photo paper. I've found a lot at the op shops - could be what you would call thrift stores.
I too love working with photo paper but hadn't thought of some of the ideas that you have come up with. I can't wait to try them! Thanks for sharing!
Yay, thank you!
WOW! You are having a blast with those photo paper! It has really juiced your creativity and I'm NOT bored of watching you play, experiment and go wild with it!! And then those pens! Just WOW Sasha!! 👌 😊
awe thank you so much for your encouragement and kind words
Lovely and so impressed with the results of food coloring 🤩 FYI, it’s uncharted “ mare ahh ner”
Wow. Love, love, love this idea. Thanks Sasha.
Thank you so much
Those ornaments that are cut out with all those beautiful papers would look great as pendants to hang up in a room!
Wow, very beautiful cards 🥰😀
Stunning idea. So clever!
Thank you
I have got to try this for my scrapbooking as well. ❤
the colours are so vibrant and bright
I LOVE all of these ideas!!
Fabulous cards and ideas xx
Those are absolutely stunning!! You created some amazing backgrounds, I know you had such a good time making them! It looks addicting, and every one of them is gorgeous and unique! Now I can't wait to see your next video!
Awe thank you so much, such lovely kind words
Looks beautiful , what a great idea . 😊
Wow! So much fun! Love the pen and stencil details!
Thank you so much for your kind words
Another great idea Sasha!
Thank you Sue
Wow more awesome ideas! I had planned on trying out the photo paper today so this is perfect timing
Wow! There amazing. Well done.
Thank you so much
The cut out with metallic paper behind would look amazing also
You can get similar effects with old fabric dye (dilute to get the color you want). I color entire sheets of cheap paper and cut to desired size. Monochromatic looks fabulous as base card layer, add more dye to add stamped images, etc. Playing is so much fun!
ooooooooo i love that idea, right im off to look up fabric dye!!!
Wow Sasha these are stunning
Thank you so much Paula
OMG. So so much fun.
your best idea they look great .Can't wait to try this. Thx
Thank you so much Hope you do, you wont be dissapointed
Holy wow! So so pretty!
Wow, love this technique!
Thank you Sharon
Beautiful, Sasha!
thank you Deb
Alright! Now you did it! Lol
I just went through my cupboards and trashed my food coloring yesterday thinking it was too old for baking…
So here i am thinking to myself, thank goodness that trash isnt in the dumpster yet!
Tomorrow im holding a pick through my trash day…
Totally worth it!!! Thank you for my newest obsession! 😊
Ha ha i would TOTALLY do the same! It's a great way to use them up. Happy hunting! ha ha
Ok, I did it. Food coloring and photo paper purchased. Baby wipes and gloves at the ready. Sasha can see beauty in the results, but I just see blotches, so I poured water on the wipes. Big, happy mess! I'm so glad gloves were specified! Best part, after drying the paper is glimmery and sparkly in sunlight. Can hardly wait to try new colors. Thanks, Sasha!
Wow!! What an inspirational video. Love all your ideas ❤❤❤
Thank you Carolyn
Wow so many great ideas!!!🎉
Wow, that was fab, thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch
What a great idea -- so much cheaper than alcohol and Yupo paper, or using reinkers. Thank you for sharing! Those cards are just gorgeous 🙂
I can see where this could be pretty addicting! How fun!
Stunning backgrounds! What a beautiful and inexpensive way to make a multitude of backgrounds
Honestly with the cost of everything going up im trying to find ways to keeps costs down but still get crafty :)

Brilliant!!!
Wow, great effect
Thank you so much
So cool! It really does look beautiful on that glossy photo paper. Kind of like it was foiled but much cheaper!
yes! totally, and so cheap and no fancy machines
AMAZINGLY INSPIRING!!!
Thank you so much :)
Hi Sasha, a brilliant video with beautiful results. I would of never thought of food dye. The cards are amazing. Thank you as always x
beautiful backgrounds... thanks for sharing... how is your daughter doing? Hope she has had a full recovery...
I love the look of them when you added traced lmages.
I know it was so pretty, kind of like foiling the cardstock but without the fancy expensive machine
Ooh! I like the look with the stencils. Wow, you really went to town and the cards you made are beautiful. I have lots of photo paper that I can play around with.
TFS❤
Thank you so much for watching
You sure have been busy. It’s a great technique. All the cards look great.💜
thank you Linda
Wow these designs are awesome. Hard to believe you used food coloring and not re-inkers. Your cards are beautiful especially the ones with the gold embossing powder on the edges. Thanks for showing the process ,😊
yes food colouring these days is so super concentrated that they work so well for projects like this
What a great collection of panels, you did brilliantly. Must try.🤗
Thank you so much
Wow just amazing once again! Xx
Thank you Lynette
Love, love those cards, so pretty. Will be really interested to see the matte photo paper next week. Thank you and have a beautiful week.
Thank you so much for watching and hanging out :)
I was obsessed the first time that I saw you using photo paper. Only 5 of my inks were Distress Inks. The rest were Oxides so I was limited in my colours but it was so much fun.
It is exciting that you are continuing finding ways to use glossy photo paper. Will also be interested to see what happens with a matte finish.
This use of photo paper is the best technique I have watched in awhile. Thank you so much!! Keep them coming please!
oh you've made my night Wendy! Thank you so much for sharing how much you've enjoyed it, i love hearing what people get up to with my videos. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely message

These are BEAUTIFUL- what great creativity- you have really stretched what you can do with these background - can’t wait to do some similar ones OMG 😱 ❤‼️🌈🎄🌲🎅🤶🎇🌅
I hope you give it a go, super easy and so satisfying Lisa :)
WOW!!! Sasha, this is totally amazing!! I also try not to use up my ink refills!! It is great to know that the food coloring works great!! Thanks so very much for sharing!!!! Love your cards!!!
Really cool idea to do with kids 😍😍😍I love the ones with the stencils
yes you dont have to be worried at all about wasting your supplies and it's all non toxic and safe
Wowzers a lot of fun to making cards, and beautiful. Tfs ❤😊
Thank you Karen
I Love It! They turned out so well! The shine is amazing. I loved the cards you made from them. Great tutorial. Merry Christmas Sasha and family.
WOW!!!!
Thank you
Sasha lovely cards! Now to buy some food colourings!
you wont regret it!
Wow Sasha, wow, wow, wow. I can hardly wait to try this out. Thanks so much for the fun demo. ❤😊
Thank you BrendaElaine, you always have such nice things to say to me!
Incredible creativity! You never disappoint!
Ingenious! I love the way you think outside the box and come up with these beautiful creations. Now I have to go try this myself. I know how you feel about your ink refills. I live in Arizona where the desert air is dry, so I no longer buy inkpads without buying the refills at the same time. I have quite an investment and tend to hoard those refills to keep my inkpads going strong. This is a wonderful alternative. I was thinking about trying them with my Gelli Pad too. I might test it on my DIY one in case it causes irreparable damage. I really enjoy it when I just sit and play with my supplies. Since I am retired finding the time isn't usually an issue, but fibromyalgia pain can stop me dead in my tracks. And yes - glossy photo paper is a must have staple in my craft stash too.
Merry Christmas and a very happy (and inky!) new year.
I hear you, i couldnt imagine living in a dry climate, in the UK it's just damp and humid all the time so i dont get the same issues as you, though if i need quick dry time i always have to use my heat tool as things take longer to dry :)
Ive been toying with the geli plate, i would hate to stain it really badly though so ive not tried it yet...
Oh wow absolutely loved this! I’ve already ordered the food colouring - what a fab idea to save on re-inkers!! The backgrounds are absolutely amazing - can’t wait to try! Thank you lovely!!
Honestly i dont know why i havent stocked up on them before now and started using them in this way. They are so concentrated and so much cheaper than reinkers!
Absolutely beautiful. Definitely trying this technique.
Thank you, hope you do
Wow easy technique but so effective and beautiful!
Thank you so much, was such good fun
Beautiful 😍
Thank you
This video was well worth watching! Great ideas!!
Thank you so much Ellen
Amazing Sasha, you are such an inspiration! TFS, I really want to try this. Great idea to try the stencils and pens too. Nicola x
i hope you do, it's so simple and easy
Brilliant idea! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching
Ok, my head wants you to try the food coloring on a well seasoned gel plate ... and the photo paper, too ...! I have used the photo paper a lot making backgrounds with it and distress oxides, because the oxide part wipes off the photo paper and you are left with that gorgeous saturated color, but I didn't think of gel plate until just now, and certainly not food coloring. You are so smart! TFS.
honestly photo paper is the bees knees! i LOVE it. Get your supplies out and get creating, your ideas are awesome
You certainly packed in a lot of creativity! And the cards were all lovely and bright! Does the food coloring and the metallic pens stain your stencils permanently or can the stencils be cleaned by something like alcohol? Thank you for an enjoyable video!
I cleaned all my stencils with alcohol and it all came straight off
@@SashaReade Thank you for the quick response! And for the inspiring video!
Very cool❣️❣️
Thank you
I had to laugh when I realized this morning that in my excitement to finally try the food colouring, technique that I hadn't even stamped an image on any of them.
It honestly didn't even occur to me at the time! Oh boy!
Food colouring 24 - Distress ink Refill 1. No contest methinks. Great ideas and end products; thank you.
ha ha that's exactly it, every time i use my refills i cry a little on the inside. They cost so much i just hate using them for anything but refilling the ink pad, but you can have soooooo much fun with the refills. Food colouring is amazing!
It's a great idea, Sasha. I love the ones done through stencils. And the mats with the gold edging. And the metallic pens. And the shaker cards. So many great ideas in this video. But I have to ask - is the food colouring permanent once it's dry? Does the food colour rub off at all?
ha ha you are so funny. And yes the food colouring is well and truly stuck into the photo paper, it's going no where. You can add water on top and it wont even lift the colour at all
@@SashaReade Good to know! So many new and inexpensive possibilities! TFS
What a great idea! 😊🎉❤
Thank you Karen
Gorgeous cards
Thank you
Wow! Stunning cards Sasha! So much cheaper than using alcohol ink on yupo paper. I've tried using photo paper with those inks but didn't work for me. Am trying hard not to buy more card making supplies though! Beautiful cards!❤
well hopefully you might have some old food colouring hiding somewhere in your cupboard that you could dig out to play.... :)
Just wondering if you ccan use water color splatter on the photo paper? I have an idea but wasn;t sure if the splatter would drty on the photo paper? Love the backgrounds - Very grogeous and very unique -Thank you for playing food dcoloring, baby wipes and photo paper!!!
I have done several videos now with photo papers and all kinds of colour mediums and im yet to find one that doesnt stick. Im sure it would
Wow wow, awesome
Thank you :)
Awesome. So many choices.
Well done!
Finished my Christmas cards yesterday, however can’t wait to use these techniques throughout the year.
Have been wondering if food dies would work but not sure how to use them so thank you!
Think they would work with shaving.cream too 🤔
Yes exactly they dont need to be xmas cards at all! they can be for any occasion!
Love it!!! Did the food color stain the stencils?
So many cards!
Yes i hope ive got enough now for xmas this year ha ha
Beautiful, but it takes forever, and then some, for ink / food colors to dry
on photo paper.
that's odd because ive never found that at all. Ive used 3 different brands so far and all of them were dry within 5 minutes
Hi Sasha, I love using photo paper, it is very addictive! Here is my query, trying to find some food colouring packs in Australia. There is gel, powder & oil based types. What is the type you have used & do any of those that I have mentioned work in the same fabulous way? Kind regards Dianne
Oh gosh, im not sure really. we have gel and liquid here. The liquid ones are just concentrated colour. If you have powder ones then i imagine you could mix those with a bit of water to make it like the same as we have here? I would give that a go first and try it out
I've seen alot of photo paper at thrift shops.
Ooh, could you do this with alcohol ink? I don't have any food colouring but I have lots of alcohol ink and I have the photo paper too
if you check out my first ever video with photo paper you can see me use alcohol inks with it. There is a link in the description box to my other videos, it's the one with about 140 000 views :)
@@SashaReade Thanks, I'll do that. Your Christmas cards are gorgeous.
Well, I don’t know what I did wrong. I got the food coloring and photo paper from Amazon; my baby wipes were from Ollie’s. I did maybe 9 with blues, reds and oranges. The only one that I’d be willing to use is one orange one. The rest are trash.
