Nice to see you back to Muay Thai dude! 👍 👊 6 years ago when I started my journey with Muay Thai your videos inspired me big time! I'm 45 now and still training when I can as I love this sport. All the best Sean 🙏👊
I was thinking about getting a free standing bag, but filling the base with cement since my home was built in the 50's, and I don't want to fill my house with more holes and possibly if I get a freestanding bag with cement in the base it would be cheaper for me
Im a beginner at-home trainee 😅 and our hanging bag is a few years old but boy its hard on my shins!!! I'm a 45yo Mum of young kids and I kind of need my body to perform my Mum duties, without nursing shin bruises. You mentioned filling with clothes and/or sand. Is there a ratio you recommend of clothes:sand? Our bag is about .70m in length so not full body height, but I figure that could help me lift my kicks? Or do you recommend a long (1.8m) bag?
Hi sean i am a muay thai fighter i been traning for 6 months and im really really good i have the best stamina explosive power but i suck at sparring can you tell me how long it will take to get good at sparring
This is some good insight. So happy that I bought my own hanging heavy bag with the saved up college money I had (Still a college student😅). Now I can release all my stress onto my bag lmao
If you want the heavyiest cheapest material, use iron silicate to fill it, it's twice as heavy as water an heavyier than a sand+water combo. Should allow you to get a extra 50lbs in it to 500lbs 👍
Hey sean, been watching your vids for a while now, started muay thai at 18 till 19 stopped bc of corona and just picked it up again, im 21 now almost 22, my dream is to go pro in thailand, ive done kyu karate, kickboxing and boxing before but never nearly 1% as comitted as to thaiboxing now. What advice do you have? Im training 2x a week with at least 30 mins sparring per week but its far from enough for me, sadly with work and low money i cant afford more. What did u do? Or what do u think i should do?
If your goal is to go to thailand and fight then work your ass off, safe as much money as possible, then book your ticket! In the mean time you can train at home using my program (thefightersbody.com) so you can improve before making the trip!

The free standing bag is great until you sprain your foot/ankle kicking the plastic. Definitely recovering from that with the same standing bag lol

Man, live it up. I started at 30 & would kill to have started by 25-27 lol
14 is never late .
Pushups, pullups, squats, neck curls, chop wood and weights -functional rotational movements
Just keep training and do some bodyweight exercises!
Get a Kettlebell. Protein and Sleep.
Hey great video! What wall mount did you use for the hanging bag? What do you recommend?
My neighbor has one of them free standing bags base is filled with cement and sand in his free standing bag
Hello. It would be great to test the Bob bag for muay thai. Thank you !
If you have an iron tbar if your basement you can hang it on a rolling mount and slide it around the room. I love it
Nice that sounds like a good setup!
Great to see you for a longer time again Mr. Fagan 👉👉👉. As always, thanks for sharing the info 🙏🙏🙏. 😎

Glad you found this helpful!
I thought I will ask. Do you have a suggestion on purchasing a swinging bag who is on the budget? Thank you so much Sean 🌸
I'd recommend Century or Fairtex, although I'm not sure how much they cost!
@Sean Fagan I appreciate you very much Sean!!
Great comparison!
I appreciate that!
Anybody filled the base with gel(400lbs) and placed it on holding base - how stable it is for power kicks and punches?
