Thank you for this! Looking for a kickboxing bag to put in my garage, that's easy to move around. Have seen mixed reviews on this bag, but your opinion seems accurate! Seems like this is perfect for what I need as a beginner.
No experience using it. The wavemaster 2XL pro is the industry standard. Even the older xxl is still used in many martial arts combat studios. No complaints ever about mine. Serves its purpose well. I’ve reached the point where I’ve become lazy to store it in the shed. I leave it out in a somewhat shady area in my yard, and cover the top with a trash bag. She’s still kickin!
Even if it does move or wobble, the simple solution would be to use your footwork. Also where you place the bag determines the amount of movement. If the bag is placed out in the open with nothing against it, it will surely move, but for me that isn't an issue, I can use my footwork, and strike it back to area I want it. Honestly movement is more of a blessing. I filled the bag with all water
Interesting idea, but the only reason I put it on mats is so that the ground underneath doesn’t scratch and wear down the base. I feel like putting grip tape will eventually sand down the base.
ahh, i see..ehh, i would try to add sand with the water if I wanted the weight heavier. that's what I would do first. but it is a clever idea, I imagine it might work well over carpet or rug
fwiw, my nephew has the Century Original bag, hes had it for like 10 years and leaves it outside lol. still works fine. id probably wouldn leave it out, but things solid. im 200 pounds and pound on it hard. kicks and all. handles it easy. i can knock it over with super powerful side thrust kicks, but you dont have to worry about knocking it over will doing most stuff
@Josh Yes i hav both .The fairtex HB14 is a little harder free-standing bag. it is a lot more stable. Not noisy when you kick and punch it ! There both the same price. The Fairtex free-standing bag is so much better ! Im 110 kg and i have destroyed other free-standing bags in the past. If you buy the fairtex you want be sorry ! My only regret is that i didn't buy fairtex bag earlier. It feels indestructible ! I LOVE IT !! The weird thing is i only found 1 review on the bag and it is in Thailand language.
@@philpowell1162 Very tempted to purchase it though unfortunately it's not the same price in Australia likely due to the transport costs to get here, in dollarydoos i'm looking at $999 + $200 Shipping for the Fairtex or $840 + $80 Shipping for the Torrent T2 Pro which is apparently an updated XXL, the T2 stand has the male end going inside of the bag rather than the opposite like on the XXL where the bag screws inside of the stand, apparently the T2 has less reports of breaking. Though I guess it's irrelevant if the Fairtex has better stability & noise, have you done much hanging bag work to compare? I'm only considering the Fairtex for outdoor use & pack away in the shed but i'd be willing to create a weatherproof stand if I can't be as explosive as a hanging bag since it'd also be cheaper though arguably a bit of an eye sore in the yard by comparison to, well nothing, since the Fairtex can be packed away lol.
@Josh I live in Melbourne Australia And bought my HB14 for $1000. Shipping $280 which was expensive. MMA fight store in Perth. Afterpay i used. I paid $1000 for the Century XXL years ago.
Then you won’t find anything better than a wavemaster. If you want I’ve heard people mixing sand and water in the base to make it extra sturdy. Just know that it won’t ever be able to withstand going Mike Tyson on it. But if you don’t mind moving around the bag to compensate it moving around, it should be no issue. And for an apartment set up the wavemaster doesn’t require any screws or drills. It might be your best bet. You might have to compromise some power for the convenience of maintaining your skill outside the gym in the comfort of your own apartment.
Bag review without a single hard punch, I get how you use it bro, but people looking for a review are not interested in that, they are interested in several things, next time you will do better hopefully
$ 500 for a bag that you just TOUCH??? What good is that? You couldn't knock down a Girl Scout with the power in the punches you were throwing. That's NOT training.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. : )
My pleasure!
Great review. What do you think about the Century Torrent 2 Pro?

Great review. Would you recommend this for kickboxing? Did you fill that with sand or water. I herd it moves alot

Hey, appreciate the honest. Quick question which mic do you use while recording?
Great review! Have you thought about putting grip tape (from a skateboard shop) on the bottom to stop it sliding?

@@SENSEIJASON I meant stick the tape to the base itself, worst case it scratches your floor or mats.

Thanks for sharing brother!
Hey has that bag held up still?
Love this bag
Does the bag itself need to be filled with sand or water? Or did it come pre filled with some sort of padding?
It comes empty, and you can fill it with either sand or water, or even a mixture.
I used to abuse my old wave master years ago 😅. My bag WM was outside in Florida heat for years, these things take a beating.
Nice review bro
Sir, how is it for building power?
Yes it is very good 👍
The fartex free stand bag is the best bag to own. My XXL broke after 5 years of use !
Have you owned both? How do they compare in stability when hitting hard?

We use these in my kickboxing class. I've seen people beat the crap out of these bags and have never seen one pop off the base
Right on
Same model as the one in this video?

Nice review bro 💯
Thanks fam
What kind of shed is that?
My dad got it from home depot years ago
do you prefer this over a heavy bag?
I love the heavy bag, but for a home set up, the wavemaster is perfect for me
hi, we want to work with you for our latest boxing product, we can offer free samples, how can i reach out?
Actually just DM on IG @jkillasensei
Did you ever received their product?
Is it good to hit it with lots of power?
Depends on your style 😁

Oh yeah
How will this stand up a 270lb fighter who hits like a truck?
It doesn’t
Look into prolast bags, pros use them and heavyweights use them: amzn.to/3Dw90FW
@@SENSEIJASON I need something free standing for my apartment. My gym has plenty of heavy bags.

Please throw some proper punches and a short full-on workout... to really demonstrate how this bag and stand holds up. What a waste of a review...

I use this bag in this video, with many punches:

Bags don’t hit back!
So are you in favor of using a heavy bag or no?
There's no snap or power in your punch. Just fucking hit the damn thing and show us what it can handle.
hit stronger bro we dont know if the bag is heavy enough
aye homie they hit this bag mad hard at many commercial gyms, it's a great bag.

Bro you didn’t hit it hard once lol
Lol
Your punching that bag too soft
That bag sucks that's why u hit it so light
Dude didn’t throw one hard punch LOL
