Had the privilege of seeing Steamhammer on the swathe at Worthing Seafront around about '68. It was the first time the stuffy old Council had agreed to allow live music there - must have shaken them to the core! This was the number they started with, with a bass amp that shook the ground - fab. After all these years, this is still my favourite rock anthem.

Hi Colin ,I was there too . Outdoor gig at the back of the old house beside the paddling pool Went to school with Steve (Bass) ,great guy . We both played Bass in various bands around the south . A wealth of great music talent around the area at the time .wonderful times .!!

You rarely ever come across such a well-composed blues song. I am speechless still, after about half a year of listening to this song everyday. Nobody could play the blues like Steamhammer. For more awesomeness of that sort, I would highly recommend checking out Climax Blues Band's "Seventh Son" and listening to it until the end. It is equally good as Junior's Wailing. These two bands definitely deserve more attention.
