I just can't believe someone is still running steel-wheels on a cab-over,😖, and they aren't even painted to match the truck or each-other,😆, it's not hard or expensive to find some aluminum-rims that just need polishing, this level of lameness is off the charts.🙄
Aluminum is for airplanes, he's driving a truck, therefore, steel.

When you change from steel to aluminum, its not simply just wheels , it can be inner studs * more likely stud in the hubs (4) × 10 studs = 40 it gets time consuming.

I used to work in off road equipment right when the poo hit the fan. It was a big rush to put Tier 4a and then almost immediately Tier 4b engines in the construction equipment we built. My coworkers and I decided the only reason the government required off road equipment to meet the same emissions requirement is so that no one can get clever and install off road stuff onto on-road vehicles. I'll tell you, trying to put all that DEF stuff and all the electrical components needed for all of that stuff is like trying to put 10 pounds of you know what into a five pound sack.

@@fsctrucking, back then drivers were able to read, speak and understand ENGLISH! Not so much anymore. They do good just to keep the rig between the lines!

Always strived to keep a clean truck, even with just quick spraying of salt in winter not wash. Never thought polishing was a money maker, so that was out.

It's good to hear the Cat dig in and get a job done with minimal trouble. Any machine needs to run as often as possible other wise they deteriorate and become unreliable. Break out all the old gear and use it. Another top video and thanks for the drive along dude.

I really enjoy your videos. I started driving in 1979 in a Freightliner Cabover. Retired in 2017 in a 1978 Kenworth K-100 with an 8V92TA. Love those older trucks.
I drove a company 9400 in 08, headlight blew in the rain up above NYC, stayed on hold with the "shop" for an hour (on and old pay phone) and eventually just bought it myself and dropped it in (ah, the good Ole days) :)😂
Nice video. Those shots of rolling down the highway in the sunset of a warm summer evening really made me feel good. Brought back some very nice memories.

1st truck I ever drove was the peterbilt Cab over Went to a vocational school in Maine Got my license in 93 and the truck was old then I can't remember What year the truck was there were 7 of us in it and we took turns driving it was awesome

Never noticed the mounts on top of Orwell to add a wind dam
It’s not to add a wind dam, it’s just leftover from one being there. The original owners of this truck, Keen Transport, ran varishields on their trucks. I think they pulled box trailers but not sure. I’m guessing Steve took it off and left the mounts so that the holes would stay plugged.

I remeber the International dealer in LA area would not sell me a part without going through warranty 100 dollar driver side window swithc oh and when I tried to go through warranty it was going to take a month to get there so I decide agaisnt it when I got to the Salt Lake City dealer down the road from our terminal they said they could have 1 in a week and it only would cost 30 dollars I still waited because our terminal said the Albercque NM treminal had one which by the time I got there they had already used it on another truck but I took a load to the Walmart DC near the border of Texas and our Terminal shop there had 2 and I got the 1 for free

I drive a DAF XF 106.480 Euro 6 wich has a paccar mx13 engine and it's basically silent.sometimes i watch your videos and think how cool must be to drive that truck

Some Oreilly Auto parts locations carry those classic style Trico side mount wipers. It’s usually the logger hub stores. You’d be wasting your time at a normal auto parts store. Big hub locations or satellite locations that sell a lot of truck parts.

Hello Steve. I'm glad to see Orwell up-and-running good as always. Everything breaks regardless. Sometimes I prefer to ride right on top if it weren't for the bugs. Seems to me when you shift into lower gears or you or shifting out of lower gears, the Stack-On the right when you look from the rear, seems to smoke a little bit more? I wonder if that's normal or is it just wear and tear.?
Steve you can find wiper blades at any good auto parts store like NAPA ,ADVANCE so on

Steve about Orwell in one of your FSC trucking videos can you explain again to your channel viewers why you decide to change Or's smoke stacks too straight stacks.many of us thought you had said preferred the horn curved looking stacks that Orwell use to have. Maybe maintenance is easy on semi straight stacks? I guess.

Most of the large truck dealers parts dept. that are worth a sh*t are open here until midnite. The branches or small dealers aren't. Heck my freightliner dealer will come by my house twice a week with the parts truck. If I call ahead.

Should stock up on wiper blades like we do here. I have 2 set's of wiper blades in my KW. Always good to stock up part's that u might need. Will be happy when a sensor get's here tomorrow.

I drive snow plows trucks for my state up in Truckee and I have some awesome video's to share with you. Just have to figure out how the state will allow me to post them. There is a company that makes a adapter for those old style wipers to upgrade them to newer style wipers forget who makes them but they are pretty cheap just got some for my truck.
Fuel in NH went from 399 to 431.9 a gallon today. At the local Irving . Don't know why.

That one car didn't even try to speed up or anything so that the Greyhound bus could get over,I guess the driver of the bus just decided to speed up then get over & Orwell's relation was bside him saying hello nice to me you & goodbye until we meet again somewhere sometime, if that guy has a van he should sleep in it instead of on the picnic table,bcause what if someone wants to use the table,they can't bcause he's sleeping on it

All Diesel engines now require DEF, Father in law has 2 kubota tractors that have DEF tanks

Off-road farm equipment also uses DEF if it’s a modern diesel rig. It’s not the road, I’m told, it’s the environment. Beyond that, someone else needs to explain it. 🙄
