It’s lovely to see my old car being enjoyed so much. I still have all the old photos of the body restoration and still have the original front number plate in my garage.
What a thoroughly nice chap. I follow him on Instagram and it’s because of seeing his wonderful ownership experience that I have taken the plunge and bought a classic Rolls-Royce too! Thanks for sharing this beautiful car, your knowledge and enthusiasm with us all!
There are tons of old Silver Shadows here in Southern California that can be purchased very reasonably. And if they've been here from the beginning they are generally rust free. It's just harder to find reasonably priced independent shops that work on them. Corniche coupe would be my choice.
Shadow and the lovely 2 door Corniche....absolutely beautiful cars...... BUT ......also absolutely problems galore. Best, imo, would be to buy a great condition body and put it over an actually useable and practical non-rolls chassis. (For me I would do this if affordable as I would want to really use it.)
Said by a person who has never, and will never, own a Shadow but heard that down at the boozer from a chap you has never, and will never, own a Shadow. Loser.

😊the silver shadow, an absolute class icon. I had one 26 year's ago. I'm after another one 😊very soon 😊
I have owned a 1986 SZ but it's the Shadow that caught my eye one day, so I purchased a 1975 Shadow, and now a 1973 Corniche 2 Door in Bourdeaux
That is great I love the Corniche beautiful car happy motoring
Thats an absolute beautiful car in the perfect color ❤ i want one too !
Well done, Michael. Cheers.

An interesting chap and a very lovely car!
Beautiful car, I’ll get one some day , but it’ll probably be Silver Ghost 1
A really good Shadow is a joy to own and drive. Just remember that at slightly under 17ft in length they won't fit in a normal garage.

THERE'S NOTHING QUITE LIKE OWNING A ROLLS-ROYCE.
Gracious ❤

The Shadow II is WAY better
The steering alone is rubbish on the original Shadow

BS on wheels.
Is that why you don't own one or is it because you can't afford one? Has to be one or the other!
