- Travel with us on the "Way-Farer" Pathfinders tour on May 2nd 1999.
Earlier we departed Yeovil with the 2 x 73 plus 37250 to Weymouth Town. This is believed to be the final rail service to the pier. Recorded on my Sony Handycam before HD
This is a great watch Mike, I found it interesting because I filmed a tour to the pier once but I can't remember if it was this one, so I hope to come across it while looking a my old videos cassettes as I;m starting to upload some old stuff myself. Today it will be Dawlish September 1999. Regards WM Mike.
Fantastic video, enjoyed it.
Fantastic video, bought back so many memories, thanks.
Very interesting. Health and safety would have a field day nowadays..
Brilliant, Mike! I've been to Weymouth a few times but after the trains stopped running to the harbour.
I read recently that the track is to be ripped up at the cost of over a million pounds.
That's the end then!
Would ove to see a 37 repeat this today.
Brilliant video Mike. It bought back memories of the times I went to Weymouth as a young lad when they ran steam engines down to the quay. But unfortunately didn’t take any footage. Kind regards C&A
Superb Mike, thanks - your archives are turning into a real treasure trove! Love watching this, and the previous one, side-by-side with a Google Maps view of the town so I can follow the route 😉. Will share @4RailTrail. Thanks again.
