    Ah, the memories...
    US-HWY6 is remarkable. It starts (in my view) in Bishop, CA, and goes all the way across the Fruited Plains to the peninsula of Massachusetts. Incredible!
    Nifty video indeed. As always, travel safely...✌🏼

    Curios what them alarms or weired noises are when going down hill? Is it something to do with the downgrade or jake brakes? Thought maybe you would have explained. Great videos guys!!!! I don’t miss a video ever..

    First let me commend you both for the straightforward approach to getting from one load to the next on time and yawl certainly have your share of bumps and tight spots to work thru. my father drove truck for most his life it was humbling as kid seeing my dad back his rig into docks so tight he had to crawl out the window to get out and get loaded. I have respect for your professionalism, keep the shiny side up and greasy side down be safe. Keep on truckin/ Colorado trip cool wished it would have been a brighter day good videography Tanya

    The town of Dillion used to be in the middle of the lake until the dam was built. Some buildings were moved to where Dillion is at now and they also moved the cemetery to the east of the lake. Other buildings were just bull dozed before the dam was filled with water. Some great history there.

    My stomping grounds. I was going to join crete and was in the process but then I got a call to join warrior logistics for a fedex ground dedicated run from Denver to Beaver Utah. The fedex run pays about $1000 more per week then I would of made at the crete north platte walmart dedicated. The only negative is I live by north platte so now I have to drive 300 miles just to get to work every week. The money is worth it though.

    Last two videos don't have caption. Would you check the settings for reason why? Thanks.

    • @TheJoyofTrucking
      @TheJoyofTrucking  Год назад +1

      Hi there! Thanks for pointing that out. So sorry that they aren't available for you. I just looked everything over. RUclips should be doing their automated creation of the captions. Not sure why not for these last couple videos. There is very little talking and no music, and they are long. So it could be related to that. Because here is what I found in my research:
      If your video doesn't generate automatic captions, it could be due to one or more of the following reasons:
      The captions aren't available yet due to processing complex audio in the video.
      Automatic captions don't support the language in the video.
      The video is too long.
      The video has poor sound quality or RUclips doesn't recognize the speech.
      There’s a long period of silence at the beginning of the video.
      There are multiple speakers whose speech overlaps or multiple languages at the same time.
      So please hang in there! Hopefully the next video will have them again. In the meantime, just to let you know, these videos we had for "purists" who wanted to hear the road and engine noise. Not a lot of commentary or jokes, etc. We'll be back to our more normal format soon!!

    With out a “apu” do you idle in the winter and summer!!

    • @TheJoyofTrucking
      @TheJoyofTrucking  5 месяцев назад +1

      Good question! The truck won’t keep idling past a few minutes. At night we set up the auto start that comes on if batteries run low. It’s also needed for air conditioner. It’s a pain coming on and off as the temperature drops and rises.
      In the winter we use the space heater. Don’t need to idle for that. And generally the auto start isn’t needed then. More peaceful sleep. 😁
