    Mr. Kevin, we started driving around the same time. I received a very wise tip from a good friend of mine from PAM transport, after your initial coupling;
    1)Attach your gladhands and pigtail
    2)push in your trailer brake
    3) raise your landing gear
    That will get air to trailer while raising up your lander and maybe save you a little time.

    Excited for you guys with the new T680. As I watched you move everything, was studying the Freightliner. I’ll be giving up my 2021 KW for a Crete Truck. Assume I’ll be getting a Freightliner. Will be nice to have a little more storage. Will probably miss the smoother ride, but the better pay and more miles will be worth it. Going to orientation on the 17th of July.

    • @TheJoyofTrucking
      @TheJoyofTrucking  Год назад

      Thanks for sharing our joy!!! We are very happy to get this KW!
      And how exciting that you’ll be starting orientation in July! I know you’ve been following us for a while so we are happy to have inspired you! It is still trucking, so of course there will be snafus, but overall we are so much happier here and Kevin is making good miles and money. Freight has slowed down a bit, but it’s still going very well for us. And we’re optimistic it will pick up again. Communication with your asset manager is key. And you can turn down loads if they are really bad time management. They’ll try and find you something better and often succeed. (That’s your insider tip 😉). Yes, most likely you’ll start with a Freightliner, but we met some brand new Crete drivers that ended up in these same 2024 KW’s😳😳😳. Just depends what’s available at the time. Which terminal will you be at for orientation?
      Let us know how it goes and please be so kind to give them our referral code, SLOKEV. We’d REALLY appreciate it! Let us know if you have other questions we can help with. 😃

    Im not a fan of the new dashboard. I have a 2023 Peterbilt 389 with the same dashboard and its not as nice. I liked it at first but within a month I was tired of it. I run my truck at 62 mph and im getting around 7.5 mpg so that T680 should get much better. I didnt see you go under to make sure your brakes were in adjustment and you didnt "spike" it. To flash your lights for a truck in front, push your turn signal out. To thank a truck for flashing you in, its the button on the end of the turn signals.
