I haven't watched the video yet, but when I saw the fermented black beans during the introduction of the ingredients I knew then this is an authentic Cantonese beef with bitter gourds dishes. The Cantonese fermented black beans are the main ingredient that perfumes the dishes so delicious. 👍👍👍 I have finished watching the video and this is what I called authentic Cantonese cooking, what's more, beef with bitter gourds is a Cantonese dish. My grandma made a lot of dishes with bitter gourd. I know it's not popular, but I really love stir fried eggs with bitter gourd or bitter gourd with tofu. I don't eat much beef, so I hope I can use other proteins if that's okay. Thank you Chef! Love your food! They remind me of my grandma's homecooking
Yes , that is another word for this gourd. Just follow my cooking video. And If you like to diminish some bitterness taste, you can rub plenty of salt to inner part of it after cutting out the core.
