    Remember seeing this watch when I was a kid, both my dad and I tought it was awesome. My dad got it when he was 45 years old from my mother as a gift, I was in my teen back then. I just finished my masters degree, and bought it as kudos after 5 years of studying. It is even more special today. Was so lucky I found a brand new one. Looking forward to see the look on my dads face when he sees what I bought so many years later. My dads watch still works like a charm and still looks new. Great video!

    I’ve had my Titanium Expert I satin version for 10yrs and still wear it a couple of times a week. Amazingly durable and resistant to wear - still looks almost new. Best of all, because of the sleep function, (which I engage whenever I’m not wearing it), I’ve never had to change the battery. A truly brilliant watch!

    I was bought the original T Touch for my fiftieth b'day in 2003. Have since replaced it with this beauty, am well, well impressed. My original is now resting on the wrist of a very good friend and he is very impressed!

    I love these T-Touch watches, I have 3 .... A 42mm steel with same case shape as yours and plain dial, a 41mm polished titanium with mother of pearl dial and an odd one that I've never seen elsewhere in the wild, the Trekking - has an unusual brown/grey bead blasted finish. They are some of my favourite watches and Tissot hit the mark right in the bullseye with them!

    Nice review! I recently made a trade of my old Cat S60 smartphone for this very watch. Mine is brushed titanium and it was badly scratched. So over the last few weeks, I have being restoring brushed finish with Scotchbrite and slowly but surely looking new again. I have many watches in my collection, but this Tissot is fast becoming one of my favourites.

      Sounds like a nice trade! That's great to know that Scotchbrite works on the brushed finish.

      Wow, that's great that they took care of your watch for free. I'm still loving mine, I still wear it a lot. Perhaps it was the bezel that fell off, and not the dial?

    As a Pilot, This is my go to Pilots watch I've had Breitling and to be honest the Tissot is better when using stopwatch the hand moving away from LCD display making it legible. All functions work great and not just gimmicky. Dual Time For UTC This is by far the best pilots watch I've seen despite not being labelled as such

    • @WristwatchObsession
      @WristwatchObsession  2 года назад

      This is great feedback on this watch coming from an actual pilot! Thanks for the comment, I agree with everything you said. One of my easiest to use and view of my multi-function watches. I'm a amateur radio operator, and UTC is used everyday like pilots do so I appreciate that as well. I have a few Citizen Skyhawk pilots watches that are great, I have some reviews of the newest models on my channel, they're great but I think if I was a pilot they are much more difficult to operate and view with the ultra tiny fonts on the LCD, however the hands and indices are fine.
      As a watch obsessive, I have a large number of watches, but this Tissot Expert is one of my favorite to wear often.

    I bought an original T-Touch in Dubai in 2003 during Gulf War II. I just sent it in for a service to Swatch Group in Toronto and they informed me that they do not have the spare parts to fix it. However, they have kindly offered to upgrade me with this watch with a black dial for $270 CAD. It retails for $1,195 CAD, so I jumped at their generous offer!

      Thanks for sharing about the longevity of this watch, it lasted a long time! I've had mine a few years and bought it used on ebay, not sure how old it is but it is still running great.
      That's fantastic that they did that, yes, what a deal!

    My wife bought me this one for an anniversary present and I've used it in the field with great service life. That was about 12 years ago and it's still my favorite of all. I've got 5 Citizens Blue Angel, Coutura, Eco Drive nice for the price watches but this is my daily driver. It's so lite you barely know you're wearing it.
    Bought a newer Solar when they had the panel problem and won't buy another. IF they know they have a problem they really should stand behind their product.

      Congrats on owning one of these classic T-Touch ! I'm still wearing mine often, it's one of my fav watches, I have Citizen blue angel watches also, beautiful, 3 of them..
      I have a review of the solar model as well, yeah the panel problem is a bummer but I wonder how many have it.. did yours have that problem? I sold mine because of the possible panel problem and needing expensive service that some people need after 4 yrs or so. I miss it a lot though, that red minute arrow hand and the speed are cool to watch. The one in this review though is my favorite.

      @@WristwatchObsession I probably let the warranty lapse bc that's what they told me and that's OK I just changed the battery in my Ti Carbon and it's my go to.
      I thought Tissot would be more focused on their return customers but evidently not.
      Water under the bridge. It was a cool watch but I don't want anything I have to worry about. It was their first Gen solar and I shouldn't have bought it.

    Nice review. I didn't know titanium can be polished like that. I have a titanium one, and it's very dull because of the oxidized layer.

    • @WristwatchObsession
      @WristwatchObsession  4 года назад

      Thanks! I never saw polished Titanium either until I saw this one..seeing it in the case, I thought it was stainless, but as soon as I held it in my hand I knew it was titanium, being so light. The brushed / matt looking titanium ones are nice too, showing the scratches less, and looking more toolish for treks through the woods, etc..

    We seem to have a similar taste in watches.
    I own the GMW-B5000, the GST-B200 ( great watch, but too uncomfortable on my boney wrist, so it is for sale) and I purchased a new T-Touch Solar Expert last week, in black titanium with the rubber strap. Pretty cool watch.

    Almost no tissot dealer has this watch anymore. If I buy it will they service it long term? I prefer this to the newer models. Do you recommend to buy this?

    • @WristwatchObsession
      @WristwatchObsession  2 года назад

      Hello, I just got a comment here a few days ago about someone who bought his in 2003 and it just now had a problem after almost 20 yrs! The Tissot support looked at it and they had no parts to service it anymore but offered him a great deal on a new one in trade at less than half the cost.
      If you find a good deal on a new old stock or used one for a good price you can enjoy it until it dies. But I wouldn't recommend buying a new one at near full price since it probably can't be repaired.
      The newest ones have blue tooth etc.. but all of the ones previous to last year don't have blue tooth and more like the one in this review and will be supported for a long time.
      Last years models and before are pretty cool being solar and the hands are fast. Check out my review of one on my channel here.
      thanks for the question.

    How to change date/month/year to month/date/year?

    • @WristwatchObsession
      @WristwatchObsession  4 года назад

      Hi Ivan... the reason it's showing day month year is because you have the time format set to 24 hour time not AM/PM. This watch ties the date format to this. You can't switch this around. So push crown to activate T-Touch, touch center repeatedly until Opt comes up in the LCD.
      Push crown button once. You should see the 24hr on left and CM or Ft on the right. The upper button adjusts the 24hr time, the lower FT vs CM.
      Hold down upper button for 3 seconds until beep. The push upper button once to switch to 12hr time. Push lower button to adjust CM vs Ft.
      Date will change also when you're out of setup menu. That's it!
