Reduced magick cost from chaos is a must for this build but it’s fun if you can get it going
I am not sure but i think Hestia's Heart gain counts as attack even though the channeling is omega attack. So yeah. i think you need hestia's mana boon with reduced mana cost to go infinity.
I think lucid gain is pretty good here because you can drop cast whenever you want.
@@HerMi.T eh it is one of worst mana boons right now imo. only good for aspect of pan but even then. not enough mana. they should made it have old mana effect +new one. I'd take demester traquiel gain mana boon over it at like epic rarity over it.

For me personally, I think your content length is just about perfect. Seeing weird builds has gotten me to go try them more than once in the past. In the rare instance it does drag a bit, or things go a bit "too smoothly", your stories and commentary more than make up for it.
I do miss seeing some of the "close call" videos with higher difficulty, not really being sure if you will make it or not. I guess ill accept being a minority on that one :D
You should put a note in the description about whether there's a grill story in the video. That's the only reason I show up nowadays and I was merely teased this time.

bloodline scales well with poms. 3 poms give around +90 damage.

I am glad my Vow of Grill suggestion made it to the good people of YT, I expect the final version will soon be finished and I see it releasing in patch 4.

Three Faces; Spawns two dark copies of Mel that performs your other two move types while you attack, special or cast, ensuring all three moves are executed simultaneously.
@@LGus-gr9wo that's aspect of momus for staff. it copies your omega move 3 times. I don't think they'll make copy for other weapons. the 3rd staff is already extremely powerful, borderline broken. Aspect of Eros for torch copies special for torches.. just making everything copy omega moves is boring.
The first time I used the torches with blood line I somehow managed a hera exchange where I got hestias mana regen, but with 16 per hit so every rotation out of magick would almost instantly refuel after the initial shots.
I tend to use blood line on melinoe aspect staff, the quick cast (automatic with disabilities, unless you use the quicker Special hammer for some reason) makes you auto fire and the perfect timing hammer automatically gives you magick back. I also pair it with the special fireball from hestia

Hestia regen is way to go for this build. You can keep holding the attack button even if you run out of magic and after enough regenaration you can just tap special and you will continue firing omega attacks.
I don't know about others but I love the conversations just as much as the runs - also high heat runs are so much more enjoyable to watch.
the best magic regen for this weapon is poseidon's: you get a lot of regen while channeling, and the regen sources go near your targets
Grill stories are integral, video length is good imo
bloodline on the torches is really nice because of how fast it builds... saw an interesting run with bloodline on torches + heartthrobs + the aphro/apollo duo that was dealing just crazy amounts of damage.

personally i don't mind the length, i just usually skip forward ~10 minutes because the early game tends to not be super interesting anyway (it's really only when the build gets going, you know how it is)
I guess the reason I don’t watch high fear runs is honestly because I know you’ll use the time restriction fear and I don’t really enjoy the constant pausing and unpausing (I do understand that it is necessary). Though I enjoy the length of the videos!
There was a dog. Standing guard by the entrance to the bath. I couldn’t friend it as I was out of morsels and I only ever saw it once. But Mel even had an audio comment specific to the dog when u interacted with it.
Just stumbled into this one yesterday, almost managed to balance out the cast with the on-hit mana regen, one cost reducer and some poms and should be golden

I caught the streams religiously during the tech test, but now increased hours at work + having access to the game myself means I’ve swapped over to youtube only. I like the videos at their current length, relatively unedited. I don’t really watch high fear bc I watch these videos to get an insight on builds and how to play better myself, and I’m not really at a place where I’m going to be pushing for high fear. If you edited grill stories into a video I would watch it lol
i know i should just watch twitch instead (and have been enjoying the vod channel) but my favorite hades videos of yours are less about the game and mechanics and more about your stories and engagement with chat. I’ve heard you say you’re running out of old stories to tell, but still love your perspective on whatever you may be currently interested in!
I gave this build a try and I dare say Lucid Gain is, if not the best, one of the best regen options for it. Hearth gain *can* work (like any of them except maybe born gain, rly), but even with -40% magick consumption from chaos, the cost per blood line goes down to 11 while heroic hearth gain only gives you 10 back, so with no poms you have to spend like half of your time in a boss fight rebuilding magick back, meaning you're not even making use of Blood Line for half of the time, anyway
so, back to lucid gain and the build: I had to work around both boons at rare, so I had to pom lucid gain a bit to get to how good it is at epic/heroic and super nova definitely helps if you have to move a bit while blood line was doing _200 dmg per rift_ in the end, I also added scorch to the attack since I was attacking so fast, I also got a lot of magick (partly with the help of double up), so I ended with _309 total magick_. now, for the "bad" parts... if given the chance to spam it indefinitely, lucid gain wasn't enough to maintain 100% uptime on the omega attacks, but with so much total magick, it still kept going for a very long while before needing to wait for the regen
in the end I ended up doing 97,540 dmg with blood line, 45k with omega attacks, 31k with scorch and 29k on regular attacks, I do want to point out it took me some time to get scorch and even more to get blood line, so there was still room for improvement, but I did spend a lot of poms (12 lvls, to be exact) on those boons, too. oh, I also got support fire, but it only did 12k dmg and I even got it kinda early in Oceanus.
Anyways, the rifts look great, it's a feast for the eyes, I loved giving it a try. and thx for the great content, Haelian, I'd not have tried this if I didn't see you doing it before, much love
Honestly Ionic Gain even on common is amazing for probably everything that is Not this particular build that uses a hundred billion magick every second lmao
I did this build last night lol, got crazy lucky in general. Chaos boon for -55% magick use, and I got 5 zeus boons to sacrifice for +20 levels on my hera boons. Made my rare bloodline do 360dmg, my heroic attack do 385%, dying wish did 191, and engagement ring did 293. Also i used apollo's regen boon which is the best option for this build in my opinion
For Blood Line to really be good I think they either have to have the magick cost or really boost the damage scaling, or maybe have it interact with Hitch somehow

Chat can be a menace sometimes, f*** ionic gain for this build.
I just had a fun run with Momus where I had Glamour Gain and then lucked into the Aphro/Poseidon duo boon without intending it - infinite magic pretty much! I had Blood Line *and* Weed Killer. Omegas go brrrr
Big fan of both grill stories *and* your longer videos. If people want them shorter, why not just increase the playback speed?

Who would ever want shorter videos…? The quality is in the banter and stories. Keep them long :) Also, high heat runs will be more interesting as more people master the game and 1.0 comes out.

I think the length of the videos is perfect, just to give some feedback against the people who want it shorter. I would also like the high fear content, even if its longer
I think born gain is still the way to go with bloodline torches, but the real source of damage are hearthrobs. With them the build is truly broken. Also dealing more damage makes you less likely to run out of mana.
Hestia hearth gain and Apollo lucid gain is probably better here. Even Poseidon regen is pretty good here.

Theory: high fear runs do worse because they aren't "relatable." Most of us don't have the hours in the game or the skill to run 32 heat, so seeing how to create a great build at lower heat is more useful. You are also probably a second screen for a lot of people, so longer fights in each room are less enjoyable to listen to, even if they are fun to watch

Would've been nice if bloodline was in the game pre born gain nerf so magic was less of an issue
I think we try this again with hera but just vary every thing else, well atleast get lucky with the chaos boons
Bloodline is a nice to have but is not rundefining. Also, Possesed Array counts as an Omega so it triggers bloodline
I did this kind of run with an epic born gain, only 6 magick left unprimed in chronos fight with 270 max
imagine this with weed killer and apollo legendary
would probably be one cool auto followed by waiting for magick to regen
i actually got Weed killer, Heroic born gain that was +4, Blitz +3, Double strike. I was only missing Appolo's legendary. it just didn't wanna roll. End game screen was 199,814 damage bloodline, 97,473 blitz, 120,493 Omega attack and 56,711 attack. This build is pretty strong but it is not an instant deletion as scorch/slow cooker build. I also got lucky and rolled -40% mana on chaos and -30% magic on chaos boon #2, reducing my mana consume to just -9. I also had 250 mana by the end of it. The build really started pop off when i got epic burned offering to get +70 and +70 mana. after that point, i had infinity mana to spam. if i rolled appolo's legendary, it would probably instant delete the boss.
not related but @ 11:45, that chaos defiance is still very elusive im now in my 170th night 😢

Hestias magic regen would be nice If u got it epic give 15 gain 6-10 should Work really nice
this works best with born gain and tbh.. its a zeus sacrifice build :P

Typically I brainstorm with chat on things we haven't tried (or haven't tried recently) or have some kind of idea from YT comments/twitch chat that sounded fun.

I believe it's Triggered by an Omega being Activated... Not by an Omega making contact or Dealing Damage.... So one Omega Special from the Knives only counts for a Single Bloodline Proc.

You only fire 1 omega attack at a time and then have to recharge it.

Who wants shorter videos, why and how do they think you would do it? Cut out the combat, only show that second in which you choose the next door and the second that you choose the boons and then booom, bossfight? You can call it omega speedrun.
I like longer videos because I like the stories that you tell and just the chatting that goes on, but I can't make it to streams because timezones and work exist. (Also on yt I can go back and check which boon you just choose in case it was too quick for me to catch or if I don't know by name what that boon does)
Appreciate the support! I think I get it: some people just want quick tips/ideas on the game and aren't really in it for the discussions. Not sure how plausible that would be long term though so I'll keep working on separate videos for those folks basically.

Everybody has preferences so you can't do it to be right for everyone. Someone will always complain.
I feel like I can learn more tips by watching the whole run than by something that is cut and sped through. Those videos feel informative and to the point, but you really just forget 90% of it by the next day plus they don't help for when the build didn't go as planned.

why not serenity staff for big rift? extra magic seems like the goal..

@@manyplural4265 it does work but you need like SO MUCH Omega cast speed to make it worth it. i think first staff bonus and second staff bonus should be switched. First staff should give you 200% omega damage while serenity staff should give bonus 30% Omega channel speed.
@@dodang_9147 this 100%. busting out omegas just isnt fun if they take ages, even if they do pitiful damage as an alternative.
@@manyplural4265 issue with circe's staff is that it wants you to pick Double-hit hammers to proc serenity which is good hit-on like scorch, Poseidon, Zeus's static shock bolts but the problem is that Omega cast is flat boost of damage. So you have a weapon that benefits from like hit-on mechanics but the flat omega is better scaled with flat attack boons such as Aphrodites attack. It has similar issue with how thanatos axe works right now. The game says your suppose melee with axe but benefit is omega critical buff.
What end up happening for both weapons is Axe melee ends up being stronger spin making critical useless OR Omega becomes good but using melee is drawback. Circe either has good melee and doesn't need serenity or omega buff or it has bad melee and good omega because of flat damage scaling. both weapons never feel complete or good.
My dad went out to get boons once and never came back. (Jk)
As a mostly youtube viewer I am begging for you to no remove grill stories from videos. I watch on 1.5x speed and only listening to the stories, Simpsons trivia and tales from retail job.
