I did, and it was a bit of a mess but there's some fun mechanics in there especially with the amount of mobility you have in combat. It was enough for me to check out the full game, started good, god fights were a bit meh in the middle, ended good.
Interesting how you may not play it and I am absolutely playing it. I haven't played POE much in past 2 years, mostly been waiting for 2.0. but this patch is so freaking cool to me that i feel like i can't miss it. it's right up my ally all the features they added.
The patch definitely brings cool changes, especially if you enjoy melee. Like I said, I have a bit of live service burnout so right now I'm really enjoying non-live service experiences.
Last league I mad 1 character. This is just too much. I just want poe 3.12 back. The base game is so bad now and this mechanic... ain't nobody got time for that. Literally afk mobile game bs.

It'll be a shame not to have you start alongside us, but I'm glad you're enjoying other games and playing what's fun. PoE is the only ARPG I enjoy, so hopefully we see you on the next one!

Oh god sentinel buffed wildwood mobs...gonna need all those new damage reductions from Endu charges.
They removed everything that made Affliction worth it. Now it's just overtuned monsters.
It's okay, I have similar feelings, I've been playing POE since 2016 and I haven't missed a single league. But this time I didn't plan to enter the new season at all, even for a week, but the changes made me change my mind. I'll at least try to play for at least a couple of weeks
I haven't missed many leagues in the last couple years but before that I missed them all the time. I played on and off since ~2013 so I've been there for a lot of good leagues, and and lot of bad ones.
Definitely do what you need to to keep your work enjoyable! As a fan of your analysis for POE, man I wish you were here for this. My personal leaguestart has been vastly different than any I've ever had prior. I think they made some back end drop changes that weren't clearly delineated, but I need people smarter than me to confirm lol
Also, FWIW? The only reason I played Torchlight Infinite was because of your videos covering it. I had plans to ignore it and you got me to try it. Really fun game. Anyway. You're great, thanks for the content!
Thanks a lot! Drop changes and tinfoil hat theories often pop up about them, but it's usually a pain to confirm since you need to do thousands of maps. That said Sir Gog often gathers data with his community and has done excellent work tracking changes in the past so keep an eye on his channel!
I'm really excited for this league, but then again, I'm quite excited for every league.
Still, the league mechanic looks like something I would really enjoy. Plus we get the stock mar- err, currency exchange.
Only thing I'm a bit cautious about is the lack of phys taken as. I usually go with EA ballista or RF, so this wouldn't have been a problem, but I've been thinking about trying WoC ignite this league. Now I wonder if that isn't going to be too squishy...
The phys taken as changes definitely make it a bit harder. For WoC ignite you still have cloak of flame which is a good bit of shifting. But it should be easier to get a solid armor rating or a mix of Armor/Eva on witch now, especially with the new base types so as long as you don't try to tank uber shaper slams I think the damage in maps is pretty managable.
Expedition could be rough though as I suspect those monsters will still get 100% overwhelm frequently.
@@Tenkiei I was considering Lightning Coil, but Cloak of Flame does look really nice. And it's not just for hits, either. I'll probably go with that. Thank you for pointing me that way.
And I'm used to avoiding the overwhelm remnants, usually playing left side of the tree, so nothing new there. (Guess they are "ignore phys reduction" remnants now)
This will probably be one of the last big leagues for poe1 with poe2 on the horizon. I'm definitly gonna be playing because this league looks sick af and I dont think we will see these kind of leagues in the near future.
Not playing this League could be a huge mistake but i also only play 1-2 Leagues a year cause otherwise i would burn out.
totally get you, i'm similar, i actually really wanted to play Necropolis and 3Dprint best items, but i didnt because i 38/40d Affliction before that, i mostly skip because i dont have free time, but also burn out, but SoK looks intriguing to me
You missed literally nothing, necropolis was total dogshit. Graveyard wasn't a "gg item printer" it was a piece of trash stash tab abuser. Literally nothing to be missed now that it's gone, press S to spit

there are a lot of small content creators covering PoE competing with bigger ones who get the lion's share of viewers with less effort. you do the right thing to focus on other games, ones that would benefit from your videos.

I have seen people complain about the afk stuff. But how many maps are aitting in your stash, because they are "not worth your time". Now you take a few minutes to alc and send them out. Sounds good to me. Add more currency to have. Problem is ggg making a game for the elitists. But do not want to alienate us filthy casuals. Me personally, i am just overwhelmed by how much there is to do.
With time walled league ppl who cry cant abuse fuck out of new league . I like this way even more additional rewards for doing my own stuff . Ppl are too div/h in a game that have to be fun to play not to be a chore …
I was thinking about skipping this league after the turd that necropolis but after seeing everything I can’t help but get hyped
TBH I didn't play Necropolis either. GGG's reveals are awesome, honestly it's hard to watch one and not be excited for me (even when I'm not planning to play).
@@Tenkiei yea for sure. I think it wasnt the league itself is was what turned me off.. it was all the mid league nerfs. I’m hoping that they’ll let things ride this time because I’m sure they’re are builds/strategies that will be broken AF with the changes coming

This will be my first league i play in, in about 6 years. I am that picky. I HATE starting over. And doing all thr ascendancy crap again.
I actually like your videos generally and I enjoy your video and narration style. The only thing that matters is that you create content that is making you happy, because chasing an audience will leave you burnt out.

Agree about blight. Too linear, but here is blight maps where you may think a bit. I like removal of quality on gear and dont think real time will matter too much in league. Most likely you build buildings once..
Yeah also DungeonBorn is out now and it also has cyclone :D. But all of my energy is on poe need to find that perfect build.
I would be burned for life if I ever did that what you said at the beginning, I can't even play one season by more than a month, if that. Like your build videos so I came to see if you had some ideas

Thank you, I'm really glad you liked that series! I liked making it a lot too because I got to learn about different builds, often including things I'd never play. I'd definitely be down to do it again next time I play PoE.
i totaly get it, i also miss some leagues, sometimes a few in a row, burnout or just busy..... but its gigachad hipster move to say "nah, pass" to one of the biggest(if not the biggest) updates to PoE :D
Definitely the biggest, but my thoughts are; if it's good it'll be around when I play next. If it's not good oh well I'm not missing anything.
Why would you miss one of the most anticipated leagues, probably the last good league ever? Just play it casually you dont need to go extreme in depth

I enjoyed last epoch 1.0 as well, 1.1 didn't look as interesting to me because I really want to see what changes the monolith rework brings but I'm definitely coming back to LE in the future.

Stopped waiting for PoE2 and moved on to Enshrouded.
I played a bit of Enshrouded during a steam Next. It was a bit janky (you could just jump up cliffs) but the exploration/traversal was fun. Definitely on my list of "games to keep in mind for when they fully release."

I'm on the fence about this league, not because it doesn't look interesting but due to some choices they have made over the last two leagues. Necropolis was bad and the whiplash that was occurring with the nerfs to different strats just put me off and ended the league for me about a month in. I really hope they address MF. I hate MF and it feels like you are not getting the most out of the game unless you are doing some kind of MF. I like to just blast maps but that felt very underwhelming without some sort of MF being involved. I love how other ARPGs reward you for playing the game and killing things without having to purposely weaken your build to fit in MF. The buffs to melee are enticing but I guess I will see. Having a lot of fun doing other things ATM.
The removal of item quantity and changes to monsters address MF in a huge way, so I suspect it's going to play less of a role going forward.
Guess this isn't a PoE channel anymore. Good luck but I'm out.

This will be the 1st season I will skip also. I have been playing since beta. I’m just to busy with other games that respect my time
I think it is going to be a bumpy ride for this league. The mechanic looks great, but there are a lot of moving parts in it. I expect to see lots of bugs. Workers that don't work, ships that sail out and never return...their will be issues, you can bet on it. Wouldn't be a POE league if there wasn't. BTW, everyone can thank Last Epoch for the new trading house POE is getting.
I'm sure there's gonna be an issue or two. The experimental leagues do tend to be way buggier but some of them are really cool.
I'm mixed so far but hopeful about this league. Not having to deal with people to currency trade is amazing. But I want Justice for TOTA! It's so unitrusive. They kept all the ads and tattoos. Just put it back in the game! It makes no sense.

I completely understand your burnout. Game is literally farming currency endlessly. Many other games are out and still coming out that offer more than Poe nonsense. I’m not playing Poe until Poe 2 when graphics don’t look like trash.

league looks ok on paper but man did GGG gut so many already low performing builds that were budget friendly options while leaving the busted ascendancies untouched that usually cots mirrors. I honestly do not blame PoE players that went full doomer and refuse to play this league. That is why nerfing is such a bad method to balancing a game when it's much less demotivating to a playerbase to just buff classes close to the more busted build and then scale down the numbers as the game progresses.
You think GGG would be careful not to be too "experimental" after the mess of necropolis.
Poe becoming less and less an arpg ,when you spent almost your half time in the game doing irrelevant things and not fighting ,new league is just a farming/building fb game .POE have lost the meaning of what an ACTION rpg is ,is many genres right now
This league will be the most passive content ever… I mean I kinda see your point for necropolis as it was litteraly not killing monsters for 6 hours to set up crafts, but even affliction you were killing monsters.. I really don’t see your point.
It’s almost like you’re saying crafting is an « irrelevant thing » bc I don’t see anything that would take half your playtime.
Some leagues definitely trend away from kill monster - get loot, but I agree with Luigi here, this one looks like it's more about kill monsters - get loot because so much of the city management is passive / self sustaining.
Personally, I like a blending of genres, when it makes sense, but not all league mechanics blend well into the game IMO.

@@luigikross9860 Crafting is irrelevant for probably 95% of the player base. I have been playing since Legion League, and my crafting amounts to bench crafting resistances while leveling. Once past Act 10, most players buy almost every single piece of gear. Real crafting in POE is an expensive endeavor that most players can never afford. The very top % of the player base crafts and everyone else buys the crafts that they failed. Only streamers and no lifers spent six hours setting up crafts in Necropolis. The remainder of the player base just ignored the league mechanic by and large. That is typically the case for most crafting league mechanics.
