To anyone who wants to complain about the cow moved he didn't hurt her. He pushed on it and the pain inflated. Notice how after that she stayed put. She felt relief once he got those bubbles happening. Love your work Graeme, Kev and Craigy-boy. Keep making farmers jobs better and bringing comfort back to the few cows like this.

Rain falling creates a down draft. The rain is pushed out from the center of the storm by the wind. When the rain is at an angle, that angle points to the direction of the storm. As the storm passes, the angle will change depending on if it is coming or overhead or leaving.

I can highly recommend visiting Scotland, especially during the summer months. Just a fair warning, even during summer there will be rain and the Scots have this awful insect called a highland midge but aside from those two potential irritants, the countryside is gorgeous, the people are warm and welcoming (especially if you can share a pint with them).
If you get the opportunity, you absolutely must go see the Hebrides and the highland in general. The lowlands are gorgeous as well, but there's something truly haunting about the rolling hills of the highland.

Sometimes what is hurting them is just pressure without any live tissue being revealed. A lidocaine spray would do absolutely nothing on the surface of solid hoof. As someone else mentioned he's not a licensed vet and can't inject, and by the time he has reached live tissue he has opened up the cavity that was holding the pressure causing the pain and relieved the pain as well.
As an aside it's not always pain that'll make a cow jump. Sometimes they are just getting impatient to be free again, or they've convinced themselves they have seen a ghost 😅

@@EdieDawnJay exactly, some people don't realise how strict the rules are in the UK concerning things like injectables so can understand questions regarding them (even qualified vet nurses are limited to what they can and can't inject), but these people would also be shocked at how often vets actually sort things out like abscesses without anaesthetic (sometimes it actually causes more pain than it relieves as the pressure that it causes can be very very intense and worse than any blade cutting the area)

Up here in the Pacific NW, we also have liquid sunshine like you that often begins right after a blistering hot day. It's easy to find recent immigrants to the area; when seeing someone using an umbrella, we say, "you're not from around here, are you?" Anyone who's lived here long enough knows that rain is just water, so unless you're an elderly person (who get an instant pass), you are considered to be a green-horn. Good luck living that down!

Watching from the state of Louisiana in the US. 100% feminine woman. Don’t know why I enjoy your videos.

I'm just curious what being feminine has to do with it? You can have interests that have nothing to do with how you dress, you know...

The skill this guy has and the constant explanation keeps me coming back time and time again. It is weird, I almost go into a trance watching his work.

Yep...45 degree rain IS a good day...here in Newfoundland as well! Any day you can stand upright outdoors AND dry, is a bonus! Lol! Good job Team HGP!

You know it's "heavy weather" when the rain comes down in linen closets, instead of sheets!

"Wee bit" as in "wee bit hill and glen". My Grandmother would sing this lullaby to me as a wee lad.

I'm always impressed at how little the cows struggle. It'd be really cool if they were smart enough to realize that as hard as it might be to go through a trim, they'd feel a lot better afterwards. But I have to figure it's more that they know they're stuck and can't escape anyway.
