Thrift stores just get really excited whenever they get anything remotely video game related, so they price it stupidly, illogically high without taking into account condition AT ALL.
The Taylor Swift CD you found was the reissued 15 song CD. The rarer one is the original 11 song CD. The 15 song CD goes for around $10-$15 plus shipping.
The reason the original sells for so much more is that there was a small lyric change after the first release, so most of the self-titled CDs that were printed have a different version of that song. Collectors want the first release.
@@ColetteO_ "The original album version of 'Picture to Burn' contained the lyric, 'That's fine; I'll tell mine you're gay' , which was modified to 'That's fine; You won't mind if I say' on the radio edit and subsequent versions." The CD switched to the radio edit in the 2008 release, so the 2006 release is the one that is more collectable. I sold the 2008 copy once and was confused by the different prices, so that's when I learned the difference.
I think it would be beneficial if you mentioned sell through rates on some of these items as well. I find things to make money on all the time, but sometimes the sell through just isn't there. Let us know what sell through is on some of this stuff!
All I talk about is sell through rate on my @jrideflips channel so I thought people would like a break lol. I’m happy to talk STR I only buy things with strong STR
Great find with that remote, and from time to time I make some good finds. But in general estate sales disappoint me and I wonder if they're even worth the time.
I’ve sold foot petals like the ones u passed in the beginning before bought at an estate for about $10-15 on 75% off day. I’ve found that although it may look like they have lower sellthrough, competition all price very high and if u just go 5-10 under you can sell very fast.
Why are certain CDs worth picking up? Is there any general criteria before looking up everything on ebay? And why is that Taylor Swift cd worth so much? You'd think there would be a ton of them in circulation...
What was the blue dish he said he passed on because it has a terrible 15 percent sell through? (Was that the item he was referring to...? The blue dish...?)

@@jjslibrary thank you so much for that very interesting information! I had no idea!
Those football helmets at 9:58 were worth some money. I always sell them “as-is, need reconditioned”.
Thanks for dropping some knowledge!
Adam’s football helmets aren’t that great. Riddell, Schutt, is where it’s at. Vintage Rawlings do pretty well too.
Always like the info on electronics and cooking machines helps me so much at the bins. Appreciate it!
Damn I wish my thrift stores or Goodwills looked like the ones you shop at!!!

First video of yours I've seen. I love your chill commentary and concise explanations.

What is the average profit of your items all together within your store?
You scanned over the jewelry too fast

Metal and rap cds are where you should start
I’ve been surprised by the Olympus Stylus 35mm cameras… hopefully you grabbed that one

Yeah it was an anchor casserole dish
Are you able to test the headlights or do you sell them as parts only?
My uncle has a mechanic shop where I test these and car stereos
@@JridePicks niceeeeee!!!
I would have grabbed the Wallace and gromit vhs set and the airbrush vhs (lotted them all together) 🤜🏽🤛🏽
How do you check the sell through rate?
I talk about it in all my live streams on my @jrideflips channel. Active listings divided by sold listing
Enjoyed your video! It was really hard to hear what you were saying over all the back ground noises.
Omg the first item korg metronome I have sold 3 of them
Nice pick ups, man.
