Love the live speedo + dist overlay! makes the vid far more fun than just a buncha guys cruising around. Awesome vid bud PS: reason you're way diff than most of other "reviewers" is your enthusiasm! I can feel it in your voice & ride. Thats what makes it fun for me to watch. Keep it up Dru
Thank you for your service! i served in the Marines 20 years ago lol. Love the hurricane, i ordered the 120mm cloud wheels and are still waiting on them. Thank you for sharing your opinion on them.... wow, seeing you slip out, backs up your claims. Maybe I'll stick with the pneumatic for now lol.
So for me I just don’t take the pneumatics off 😂 but the cloud wheels have saved me when my wheels pop and I have to wait for a new tire, so I would say worth it
@@DruMarr you know you can just fix the tube on the pneumatics. I popped mine already and used the extra tube in the box, but need to get a bike patch kit to fix it for my next pop.
I feel you, I run pneumatics on my hurricane and the terrain options and traction far outweigh any skate based wheels, it's a curse and a blessing to be honest.
I actually never take my pneumatics off either lmao, cloud wheels don’t feel safe to me. For the overlay it’s pretty complicated but look up GoPro telemetry overlay
Just purchased the Hurricane and the power and speed is off the charts for my, only issue I have is the remote is extremely sensitive when using mode 3 and 4. I can ride at 12 mph in mode three and not even feel like im moving the rocker and it jumps to 18 mph.
I remember this part of early ownership. Along with the feeling that it is braking when you let off the throttle. I remember thinking that I might have made a mistake buying a board with more power than I could handle. It took me around 100 miles to tame the beast.
Yo Dru, maybe not the question you expected but I purchased an insta 360 max and can't seem to figure out the best way to edit the videos, do you use the mobile app, desktop app or something beefier like adobe final cut with the 360 plugin? As always great video and always look forward to your uploads!
So for editing the videos I just the desktop app to set my key frames, then I export into premier pro and color grade it, cut it, sync the talking and that’s it
you would probably get almost double the range if you didnt average a speed over 22+ mph lol great vid you have earned a like and a sub with this content
Hi this board is rated IP67 waterproof is this correct. That means it can work while submerged in water for 15min so it should be able to plow through puddles and rain? Is this correct?
The meepo V4 vs the hurricane there truly is nothing the V4 has that is better. You will love yourself for skipping the budget board and going straight to an actual race car of an electric skateboard with the comfort and build quality that you need. You’ll be laughing just at the thought of purchasing a V4. And that’s a fact! :)
Yeah I have a v4 its fast but battery dies quick I dont have er version I just got a eovan carbon super should be here anyway now hope dru makes a video on it
@@DruMarr I actually got a good deal on a SkateBolt Breeze 2 I'm picking up in a couple hours. I'm hoping that will hold me over until the Hurricane goes on sale again and then I'll probably get one. Thanks for the advice & keep the great content coming! Might be hitting you up to advertise on one of your vids in the future.
Belts mean nothing on speed, its the pulley size. Also I think they estimated 31miles on ATs and 44miles on street wheels. Also Meepo does their range tests with lighter riders at lower speed average. I would tighten your trucks with DKP at least the inside bushings. Also newer stiffer bushings help a little. Cloudwheels are great hybrid wheel, I prefer urethane wheels personally.
@@DruMarr nope it comes down to the motor pulley size and wheel pulley. Also overall wheel size matters but not the belt. You can upgrade pulley for higher speed versus torque depending on preference
@@DruMarr robm is right. it all depends on motor and wheel pulley. the belts however have different sizes and whatnot to accomodate different pulleys better, but swapping belts will do nex tto nothing to your speed. the best thing to do is switch wheel pulleys for higher top speed.

@@Godsring Hey I do use the dual mode but I was cruising on eco and normal gear 2-3 most of the time to stay with them, we were out for awhile so I never wanted to kill the battery too quick. Cyclone wheels coming up next :)
escooters are incredibly powerful, and the top end can out race a Suron. The problem is they look extremely dorky.
