    Tilda Swinton is perfect for playing mythical roles, like Gabriel in Constantine and The Ancient One in Doctor Strange, and I think even a vampire at some point.
    Would love to see an analysis on the female characters and actors in The Lord of the Rings trilogy!

      Yes! Just watched the episode of Hulu’s “What We Do In The Shadows” where she is playing a vampire in it! A vampire council too, so casted for an authoritative role.

    The casting in this movie was incredible! Even though there’s quite a few differences in appearance from the books (the white witch had dark hair for example) I truly think they made the best choice by putting that aside. They found people who could embody the actual character traits and the effect they have so well, not in the sense of good/bad but in the sense of things like the white witch being so commanding and compelling

    Tilda was perfect casting for the White Witch. I’m currently reading the Narnia books to my 9yr old and looking forward to watching the film again with him. Looking forward to a Maleficent review-another fave of mine!

    9:04 I absolutely love watching the light bulb go off here. Having her wear his mane also repeats the fur element from her first scenes.

    It is Aslan’s mane that she wears at the end. It’s her way of showing to everyone at the battle that she defeated him.

    Thank you for making this video! I'm an ethereal dramatic, soft summer, dramatic classic, and have always loved Tilda and used her as style inspo even before I knew a thing about body typing / essence. I look most at home in outfits that would look costumey on anyone else, and look like I'm wearing a costume in conventional clothing 😅 I recently wore a full sequin suit to a holiday party and got told "that is so perfect for you, I would look so stupid wearing that" so many times 😂
    I feel like looking like a Disney villain is criminally underrated, and would love to see you do a video on Malefecent too!

    I watched an interview of Tilda and she commented that she doesn’t think she’s “other worldly”, as she said this she was wearing a sweater and jeans, from her country side home in Scotland. It’s amazing how we perceive ourselves.

    • @yesme9115

      I don’t either tbh and I’m verified as higher ethereal than her. I don’t think Kitchener sees otherworldly the same as most do. It’s a lot more quiet.

    Thank you, I really enjoyed your analysis, also reminded me of how similar my tastes are to hers. I think I may lack a bit of drama and also a bit of etherial compared to her: basically a watered down Tolda Swinton😅. This inspires me to have a look at her for some inspiration still

    I found her so striking in Narnia! She truly felt like part of the world in comparison to the Pevensies, who of course came from ours. Her performance was absolutely fantastic, and the incredible costuming took it to yet another level. Love this analysis!🫶🏻

    Anya Taylor-Joy to me is someone who has a high contrast color season (maybe a winter) w/ a low contrast essence (ethereal). She’s so interesting to me because she’s naturally a brunette and has deep brown eyes, but is purposefully dressed for her ethereal w/ very low contrast. She is definitely my celebrity look alike in essence and we both have a long vertical line (I’m more moderate, probably a flamboyant natural at 5’6”), but it’s hard to follow her as a style inspiration because she really feels like she’s dressed as an ethereal character most of the time.

    Tilda Swinton has been verified by John Kitchener with the following essence blend: 35% Angelic, 25% Natural, 20% Classic, 15% Dramatic, 5% Romantic. So not sure how you can say she has NO Natural, with it being her secondary essence.

    • @elliejeanroyden
      @elliejeanroyden  26 дней назад +6

      I’m actually not someone who follows one of the stylists over my own eyes, the essences is not just his system, it’s a developed version of other people’s and so I respect his opinion and find it interesting but in this case I suppose I disagree! I don’t think she looks in harmony with natural styles because she is SO sharp but perhaps you disagree - I’d love to hear why you think so! ♥️

    • @Snoozler
      @Snoozler 26 дней назад +3

      @@elliejeanroyden Fair enough! I think there's just a lot of misconception around natural essence in general. It's a very dynamic essence and shows up differently when blended with other essences. I think it tends to very often be stereotyped as one specific type of styling.

    Hey Ellie, in your channel auto dubbing, a new RUclips feature is activated. Because of that foreign viewers get an ai generated audio in their language. But the voice is just a monoton computer voice with bad translation. It's really now joy to listen to it and I, a german, had to change my channel language into english to get the original audio. Maybe you loose some viewers If you leave this unripe feature activated for your channel.

    I have to disagree. I prefer the original BBC series which was far more accurate than the inferior Disney version. Tilda Swinton is much more masculine than the White Witch, Rachel Weiss would have been a good casting. She does suit an ethereal style but the White Witch is beauty is supposed to be feminine, not androgynous. Her crown is not the correct either.

    This video had some very useful tips. Thank you 😊 Can you please do a video on how to apply ethereal essence to a petite & rounded body? Most of the examples and recommendations are for tall people and don’t work for me, but I have ethereal as my main essence 🥲
