thanks for your informative video , i have acadia 2010 misfiring bank 2 only at cold start and after engine warm it goes and some intermitent shutering sound will come from front of engine
I have a saturn 2008 outlook 2,4,6 cylinders are not firing. I had the ecm reprogrammed changed the plugs n coils. I took off one of the coils there was no difference in the sound of the motor. Could it be the c converter. Or the 02 censor. I put the machine on it.. it just told me 2,4,6 cylinders are misfiring.
Ok in this case, the problem was intermittent misfire because of loose ground every time you brake or hit the bumps misfire happens. No 2,4 &6 coils use common ground and it looses through time
Ok it made my traction control light and stabilitrak light come on. And made the car run sluggish it would pickup in speed and then nothing. I would turn off the car it ran good for a half block then it would start all over.
Yep bad misfire for long periods of time will kill the Catalytic Converter, based on your explanation you have intermittent misfire, I would check the ground first

Don’t drive with misfire, it will cause cat problem.
Make sure you do a crank sensor relearn after any ignition system repairs you can have a misfire still if you don’t.

Did you Check the ground ?
Check the main fuse box under the hood for bad connections from top block to the under neath connections
No not yet we was going to start with the wires next. Hopefully find what's wrong with it.

Hi, I checked, and I don't see anything wrong with it. By the way, i replaced the coil with a spark plug, and stills I have misfired.
Which bank is misfiring?
@@theasemechanic 2,4,6

My plugs totally no power going through the at all. No fire no nothing. I took off a coil and plug there was no spark. No difference in the sound.
If those coils couldn’t get ground they not gonna fire, like I said did you check the ground?
