Sean Lock was a genius in writing, performance, and stand-up alike. He was also the comedian in the room who actually made every other comedian lose their collective shit with how brilliantly funny he was- and how absolutely quick-witted. He was a Bard, and his like shall not be seen again. Love that man.
Very brave decision, as this is often like marmite, but it’s a fabulous show and shows the fabulous talent they had. It’s had a minor resurgence pop culture wise recently and I think it would do quite well if re run. Could watch it all day, it has an odd comfortable feeling, or maybe it just reminds me of a similar living situation.
Sean Lock was my favourite comedian and I'm not just saying that because he passed, I used to watch 8 out of 10 cats and cats does countdown religiously just to watch Sean. He is one of the greatest comedians of all time, his random but relatable outbursts are the perfect comedy for my taste. I put Sean Lock above my other favourite comedians, Ricky Gervais, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr and many others. Even the great Brendan Schaub can not lace this man's boots, I know that's an outrageous statement but I said it and stand by it.
The best sitcom ever made, in my opinion. Everything about this show is just perfect (except for the fact that more episodes were not made!). Thanks for the fantastic upscale! Is there any possibility of Series 2 getting a HD makeover?
@@Couchtripper in fairness. Until I watched this I hadn’t realised how similar their comedy was, Stuart Lee is very much about anti comedy and would love the long awkward parts. I am sure he would be a huge fan of this
That MAY be due to our brains being ruined by RUclips shorts and stuff. We just expect instant entertainment and satisfaction all the time, at least subconsciously. I wasn't entirely sure about this at the beginning, but I stuck with it and now I'm enjoying the dynamic of the characters and settings
Hi Gary. I'm genuinely interested in why you think this is crap. Please explain what you enjoy watching. I'm not judging as it took me a couple of episodes to get it.
@@mokeyat lot of people say takes while to get into it but why should it,also given enough time you'd probably be able to watch anything as you give in to it,or most do i don't,and finally it's trying to be realistic true to life with obviously a comedy aspect and it fails hope that helps

Addendum: Benedict Wong should've been paid Marvel-size money for these performances as well. Stupendous as Errol.
@@arcsomniac To be fair, back then, Marvel didn't have Marvel-size money. They were trying to sell off IPs because they were going broke
Yeah man, Sean was f hilarious. Such a dark humour at times.
Very underrated series and a young benedict wong there before marvel fame, he was also in the Peter serofinowich show before all the Hollywood stuff
He was in the i.t. crowd too as bit part in the countdown episode..brilliant..
@@NevilleBamshu23 yes he was, very good in everything iv seen him in but forgot how good he and Sean are in this glad to watch it again
I very nearly shat when I saw him in a film
@@Disco_Biscuit_his entire career has just been tainted for me though because all I can think when I see him, is him peeling off wallpaper
Never even heard of this. Two episodes in and it's great 😅
This is a bit of a gem (as was the preceding radio version). Quite a brave commissioning decision. And what a cast.... RIP Sean and Felix.

A really underrated series that is an absolute classic.
I love you can tell it's British right away without even hearing anything just by how grey and depressing everything looks lol
Love every frame. Thank you for your efforts.

I can't remember what series it's on but I'm just waiting for the blue rat episode, what an episode that was 🤣 😂
“How much longer do you think you’ll be sitting there?”
Its 1230am and I'm up til i finish this
Never heard of this ... Wonder why it was recommended to me ... Must be because I'm in a shared tenancy ...
Thanks very much for uploading loads of brilliant work over many years.
I still can’t believe that Sean was in fact, THE RIDDLER!
💜😁

There are 2 series apparently
Unreliable Witness!!!!!! 😅
if Stewart Lee wrote a sitcom, this would be it :D
He'd copy Sean Lock?

fair enough - I'm sure there's a good reason that Stewart Lee hasn't done a sitcom of his own. I can't think what it might be though.
if sean lock wrote a sitcom it would be exactly like this
5mins all I lasted absolute crap
