⇒ How do I maintain these? Avoid prolonged contact with water and oil as much as you can (see question below for more detail). I highly recommend that you sleep on a beauty pillow vasseurskincare.com/products/... - this is a special pillow that allows your head to hang off over the side so you don't crush your lashes at night while you are sleeping (it also helps prevent sleep wrinkles!) Sleeping on your side is the #1 way your lashes will get messed up. Otherwise try to sleep on your back.
⇒ Can I get these wet? They can get a little wet without issues but I avoid saturating them in water wherever possible and also avoid oils touching the lashes, as this will break down the glue. That said, I am pregnant and cry quite a bit and I have NEVER had them come off on me. Ever. But the dryer you keep them the longer they will last.
Now, if you want them to be fully waterproof with no worries (swimming, washing face normally, getting them wet in the shower) then you may want to try 10 day lashes: 10daylashes.com/ This was another lash glue/program I tried but for me the adhesive was almost too strong and I found them difficult to remove.
⇒ How long do they last? I reapply mine every Sunday - I like a fresh clean set every week and to be able to fully clean my lashes and eyes before applying another set. Sometimes I will wait a few days in between sets to give my lashes a break. They can last up to 12 days.
⇒ Does this affect your natural lashes? In my case, I've always had very short sparse lashes so I have not noticed a difference. There is minimal lash shedding when I remove these.
⇒ Do I have to cut them into 2 clusters? One thing I want to point out is that it is slightly more difficult and advanced to apply them in just 2 clusters vs 4 or 5. I like the way it looks with better with 2 and how fast they are to apply but if you are a beginner you will probably want to start off by cutting the lashes into 4 or 5 smaller clusters and applying them that way until you get the hang of it.
⇒ How do I remove my eye makeup? I use a my cleanser on a washcloth to clean around the eye area and then put cleanser on a black q tip (amzn.to/2VbWoyx) to remove the makeup/eyeliner that is right on the lash line. A black q tip helps so that no white fuzz gets caught in the lashes.
⇒ How to remove the lashes? I fully saturate a reusable cotton pad with this eye makeup remover (amzn.to/2Z1vN8h) and allow to soak on the lashes for a FULL MINUTE and then gently pull the lashes off. If there is any tugging whatsoever allow to soak longer, they should slide right off. Then I use a lash brush with the remover on them to comb any remaining glue from my lashes. Be very gentle.
⇒ Is this safe/ sanitary? There are dozens of DIY at home lash extension companies and glues out there and hundreds of thousands of people follow this method or one similar to it and love and swear by it. I have personally be doing my own lashes at home for 8+ months now and I've never had ANY issues whatsoever. You want to obviously be as safe and sanitary as possible when applying and maintaining and if you have any reactions whatsoever remove and discontinue usage.

Grace Moringlane the woman who owns Lashify threw a tantrum that Brittany recommended a different lash applicator to put their lashes on saying she was infringing on their IP and promoting counterfeit products. That woman blasted Brittany on her social media and served her with a lawsuit....when literally lash applicators have existed forever. I own one for regular strip lashes. The woman who owns Lashify also has a history of coming unchained whenever someone says anything about her product. She talked all sorts of shit about a beauty influencer named Manny MUA when he put up a video trying Lashify and not liking it as well

I actually ordered the Amazon glue and tried this method! I LOVE it! The only thing that I'm trying to resolve is the tacky feeling every time I blink. Im pretty sure I ended up using too much glue. It works so good though! Thank you!

It works! I’ve been going it for 5 weeks now. Following everything she does and I like the Demi whispies , that glue is very good and affordable. They last more than 7 days but I refresh them every 7 days.

I love this video. I’ve been following along and was not happy with Lashify products (glue). It was messy and didn’t really work (waterproof bond). After seeing how they treated you and others, I do NOT associate my $ with businesses like that! I love that you stood up for what’s right and didn’t back down! You go girl!!

That glue from Amazon, is the Absolute BEST!! I've used it for a couple years now, and always get great results. BEST way I’ve ever had a successful lash attachment for a full day is the way you’re showing! UNDER the lash vs on top of the lash. I can’t explain why but it WORKS BEST!
Only thing I do different is IF the lash is too long I cut off the inner corner vs the outer, longer end. I prefer to keep the longer end vs losing it. To have the longer corner gives me more of a winged look but that could be because I have hooded eyes.... could be why? Any way, just my personal thoughts! Best advice ever....lashes on UNDER vs top!! You won’t be sorry!!! Promise!

I just did this, like 30 minutes ago, after watching this video several times. I do like it. The glue does feel a bit sticky and my bottom lashes want to get stuck to the top ones. I used to have eyelash extensions so I imagine the care and maintenance is basically the same. Anyway, so far I’m really liking these diy lash extensions. Thank you for sharing your secrets.

This was so much easier than I thought it would be! I am 57 and I have *never* been successful at applying false eye lashes. I've always used the individual trios, but I wanted this look. More than natural, but not over the top. So I got the lashes & glue you listed, watched the video again and gave it a try. It was very easy! Took less than 15 minutes . Thank you so much!
How long did the lashes last you?
@@amberroberts8560 So far I'm getting a good 5 - 7 days. The inner corner of my left eye lifts, and I think that's because I haven't mastered sleeping on my back yet. They get a little crumpled when I sleep. I'm also working on the correct amount of glue on the inner corners, without blobbing it on. I've only gone through 2 pair so far in almost 2 weeks.

@@nmart4000 I use either a q-tip with a little eye makeup remover on it, but blotted so it isn't running into my lash line. Or wrap a corner of a damp washcloth around the tip of my index finger to clean carefully around my eyelashes. Then after rinsing the makeup remover out of the washcloth, go over the area again the same way making sure not to leave any remover on the skin around the eye so the lashes don't become loose.
Oh my gosh I tried this 2 weeks ago. This has by far been the BEST VIDEO EVER! It worked like a charm. I love waking up with my lashes done. Thank you Brittany! 👍🏼

N martinez I always use a washcloth to wash & rinse my face trying to avoid eye area. You can use face/makeup wipes too. I also use black quips to clean around eye area (using washable eye makeup remover; don’t use oil based eye makeup remover). I hope this helps.

I have had those exact lash applicators for years. They came free with some eyelash perming kits I got off amazon. I can’t believe you were accused of promoting counterfeit products. It definitely was not their patented product first by any means. Nothing is original anymore.
Leah Hollinshead exactly, I’d had an applicator like that for YEARS before Lashify was even a thing. I got it at the dollar store! The owner definitely acted extremely immaturely and I will never ever support them. Brittany did absolutely nothing wrong.

I was honestly a skeptic thinking this would not work for my Asian eyes but decided to give it a try as I love a lot of your tips and was so thankful to be wrong as this glue and tip to put them under the lashes worked amazing!! I have the Demi wispies which I find work well and more natural on my eyes

I really want to get into doing my lashes and nails so I look more put together. Usually when I try these myself tho I end up looking like I’m entering a Halloween costume contest 😜 you make it look so effortless I’m willing to give it one more shot!
From what I found is you have to keep doing it. Put them on, if they don't work try again. A beauty guru I follow told her followers to practice on the eye that is the hardest. If you are left handed do the right eye and right handed to left eye. This obviously won't work for everyone but most might find it helpful. Hope it works for you.
