So you showed us how to download the map. but you have not shown how to actually use it when offline, like no cell service. I think that is what most folks are looking for…the second half of the instructions…like turn by turn navigation when no cell service…
Thanks for the video. It would really be a lot more helpful if you downloaded the same areas if you are comparing download sizes. Compare the apples with apples in other words ;-)
Couldn't the map area be decreased too? that way it would be smaller in size-sometimes I am visiting an area but not the WHOLE area-example downtown of a city.
To those asking about using the maps offline, you don't need to do anything special. Just open the map app as usual, it will realise there is no data service and will use the info stored in the offline map.
