An irregular is someone who opens the door to the tower themselves. Bam is an irregular. Rachel wasn't chosen to enter the tower so what I assume happened was bam opened the door once and bc Rachel was under him she went in and then he opened the door a second time
Nice discussion, I was waiting for you guys to mention the 10 family heads and their family since y'all didn't im guessing you aren't aware of that dynamic yet it's pretty extreme and a huge plot point y'all are going to love that. Also they are both irregulars regulars is also a blanket term for those who are climbing or trying to climb the tower since most people climbing the tower are just that regulars. the rabbit hole gets deeper for sure
