I love the chat response. "She's a Captain America clone!" As if she didn't come along the same year as CA, rocking the red-white-and-blue look back in 1941. Hell, they even set this movie during WWI just to avoid that comparison and people still go for it.

Josue Luna CA came out in March of 41, WW came out in Dec 41. Both were contemporary and fought in WWII, because that's what was going on at the time. They wore red white and blue because almost all the superheroes at the time did. They're only similar because the writers and artists went with what was popular at the time.
