Wonder woman grew up in a cultured society ..she is a diplomat along side being a warrior .
wonder woman comes from a REAL island called Themyscera. which in 1250BC was in the south of the Caspian Sea. It's still there called something else.

Yeah according to DCcomcis is Themyscira or Paradise Island, is a secluded island either in the mediterranean sea or in the Atlantic Ocean (it has change different times in her origin story) and they were put there by the Gods of Olympus in Greek Mythology, because before that they were in constant war with men and most of them were enslaved by Aries, and in other stories by Hercules. Her Origin has change through out her history by many comic book writers, so did her outfit. But it seems that in the movie they are incorporating a little bit of all her origins, also with her costume. Amazons are a myth pretty much, although some historians clam they did really exist in Turkey 3000 years ago. They are tombs of so call amazons in Greece and Turkey, and there are also written in history through scrolls, sculptures and different artifacts. Yeah I'm a huge fan. lol I can't wait for the movie.
Nice video! After watching this trailer something tells me y'all gonna be catching up with Wonder Woman's history real quick. Nothing like a masterpiece like that short teaser to get people wanting to know more.

her home is an island on earth, called themyscira (somewhere near greece, not confirmed). at least that's how it has been in the comics that i have read. but i have not read all of them, i could be wrong. and the movies could use a completely different origin story. :)
Thanks for the info, I knew it was an island, just couldn't pull the name out of my head. You really don't know what stories they're going to pull from. They might even just come up with something brand new. Which usually makes the hardcore fans mad.
The island of themyscira is by Turkey.

It made it tons better. Loved the Ultimate edition.
It helps point out certain things in better detail .... I still loved the movie - though honestly - I only went to see it for Wonder Woman - I still wish they gave Gal Blue Contacts .... WW is supposed to have Blue eyes ... could of been cool if as Diana they're Brown and Blue as WW - just my opinion
The BvS Ultimate cut is a masterpiece
Yes, I just finished it, and it is leaps and bounds better. The only thing I still can't stand is the whole "Martha" thing. But besides that, it really fleshes out the conflict between B and S so much better.
From my interpretation, the Martha comment reminds Bruce that Superman was brought up on Earth by a human mother, so mentally he's human. It's like a wake up call to him.
Also Bruce can finally save Martha.

That good Huh? I've heard its like a whole different movie compared to the theatrical cut. I must watch! I just bought the ultimate edition blu-ray like 2 days ago...... Here goes nothing!!! (hope your right).
I think it made better sense...but in terms of making it a better movie...that's a reach...a far..far..out into several million galaxies away reach.
BvS wasn't only a good movie...it was a brilliant movie ..even the theater cut was good...it was true to the very early comics,which were dark.
Being true to the comics in it's darkness is okay if you want authenticity but I think there was too much white noise in that film and too much material used that rushed what could be stellar stand alone movies. Let's see what they do with the rest of the franchise. Hoping for the best. For my bf's sake lol
BvS was a composite response to the comics and wasn't rushed at all IMO....there will always be Superman and Batman movies...always..those stories could still be done in future franchises. So far the DCEU movies are spot on ....and have been great from the beginning...I'm part of the 65% that enjoyed BvS.

DC started it all with Reeve Keaton and the Nolan trilogy and WB showed Marvel that Marvel properties can be successful cuz WB made the Blase trilpgy

I knew it was an island, but for the life of me I could remember to the name. I'll be the first to tell you, Wonder Women is a semi mystery to us. That makes it even more enjoyable, cause we get to learn something new! Super excited.

Plot points in BVS didnt make sense? Like what?
The Ultimate Edition pretty much fleshed out all the editing/plot points I had issue with. Now the only thing I really have an issue with is the "Martha" thing.
Why is the Martha thing an issue? I don't get it. What else could have stopped the freaking Batman!?

+Garage Banter It's not that their mothers had the same name, it's that Batman, after being conditioned to believe Superman was a heartless alien, saw that Superman's last words were about saving a person , and the name Martha further triggered Batmans murdered family. Superman was a real man with love and dedication after all. It's emotionally deep and goes to the core of why Batman does what he does.
