When I stumbled across these modules, I figured that for the price they'd be very basic. I did not expect a single module to be a noise generator, bitcrusher, sample and hold, CV processor, AND a high/low pass filter. Very impressive.
these are all incredible. I absolutely expect at least one of these to become 'must haves' alongside other classics like Pamela's and Maths. I'm guessing Utopia, but it could be any of those really.
I've got plans for getting all of these. I am going to combine it with a Nifty Bundle. These modules are so well thought out. Still can basic sounds, and yet can still go into very innovative sound territory. In this vid, I heard some stuff very close to some classic Human League sounds when it moved to using a sound source.
Some of the sounds you got out of it, in the first few minutes, remind me of the trick you mentioned in the user manual for the Erebus V3: by patching the S&H output directly into the filter or amp, you get a sort of digital noise sound. Very simple, yet very cool and something you don't usually see in desktop synths. Having it in a module is even more handy, very well done Dreadbox!
I took delivery of mine today. Can't wait to get started playing with it. Already own Nostalgia, which is finding its way into every patch. Thanks for making such useful and affordable modules!
@@Dreadbox-synths Hi, if you happen to read this - i just received one secondhand. It has not the leds, but leds in the faders. Is that another edition? Also, when the highpass-fader is completely up, the sounds comes back suddenly - is that normal behaviour? It also seems the "odds" fader does not do the same thing as in your video and the leds in the faders shine when they are down and fade out when i turn the faders up. Could you tell me, are these normal behaviors? Thnx
@@mahusonicstorytelling8693you have the newer 1.1 version. If LED operation seems backwards, you can pull out the LED and put it back in the opposite direction and that should fix it.

Looking forward to the Utopia video. Going to purchase it in a week or two. By the way, I love my Hysteria oscillator! Really nice work Dreadbox.
I freakin' ADORE mine. Best module I bought in a long time.Really a lot bang for the buck!
Great work on this one! We love it.
@16:10 - classic *Space 1999* tone.
~ fair play Yiannis, Dimitra and crew ~
one of the most versetile modules out there
Lots of very musically useful noise here!
Not knocking the module, but it's a bit misleading to refer to sample rate reduction as bit crushing.
Is the sample and hold clockable?
Did you figure this out?
What are the differences between 1.1 and 1.0. Just the leds removed?
Exactly!
will you be selling complete systems?
unfortunately, no. But some shops are already doing this (modularsquare)or will do soon
