I know Jonny is far from perfect but my entire teenage years were consumed by him in DGD, Emarosa, his side projects etc. there will never be another like him. Thank you so much for this!
As someone who has watched wayyyyy too many live performances of Jonny. I can say with certainty that this guy did his research. Even has some deep cuts in here 👌
if i could teleport and time travel... i would do anything to go to the LiveShotsBerlin performance or the We are life one. oh to have been the age i am now during this era...
@@iplaywow3 He actually had a video on a voice coaches channel, and they were going on about the technique and range. It was after the slaves exit. So semi recent.
Ben folds talked about having fingers that could stand a very hard pounding play style without burning out his joints and makes me think of jonnys voice
Soooooo many goosebumps Growing up in Sacramento, and always chasing the local band scene, what a shame I seemed to have missed him and said band then... Caught Slaves at a dive downtown sometime 2019 . Like the up close and personal kind .. he was chillin in a booth downstairs at the bar, I was getting drink, back turned. While I waited a sec, I turn to say hi. He was 3 ft from me, 2 people on each side of him. Chill friends? Couple dudes and a chick. Point being, I turned to say what's up and he was super, dickheadish! Seems we have a consensus
Awesome video! I wanted to make a similar one of all my favorite live clips of him too. I thought I saw all of them, but you have a few great ones in here that are new to me! What Emarosa song is the first 2 clips? Mullet Emarosa JC is undefeated! Haha
What Jonny does that is so special is heated or cooked vocals. Shit he taught me how to do it. I might be the only person that can do it and hold a similar register as him. Glad I got to work with Jonny. There will only be one Jonny though.
You mean how he controls the distortion in his notes? That's a big part of it for me, but my favorite thing about Jonnys vocals is his insane runs. The way he dances with the word 'way' in the 'fight for you this way' line. Outside of some rnb or gospel singers, you just don't hear that creativity and power
@@k1xntDistortion is something you do in post. Jonny does it in person. But it’s a vocal technique that can’t necessarily be taught until someone learns how to use their voice. Jonny has pioneered a unique sound in post hardcore etc. He is self taught as am I. I truly recommend listening to product G&B among other R&B artists. Jonny uses his diaphragm more than the average R&B singer though due to the sustained notes he does. so take that into mind.
There are two Jonny Craigs: godlike performance or forget the lyrics and throw up on stage.
The problem was that as his bandmate you have no idea which one is going to come out on a given night.
I know Jonny is far from perfect but my entire teenage years were consumed by him in DGD, Emarosa, his side projects etc. there will never be another like him. Thank you so much for this!
Johnny has been the most talented singer of every band he’s been in.
The clip of we are life is fire. That outro always took me to another place
Still is the best vocalist in any genre
Damn straight 🤝
Live with pipes like that. Insane
Hands down! One in a trillion vocals
Hands down
Straight up
He has an amazing gift underrated vocalist
15 year old me would’ve killed for this footage, thanks so much for compiling all of this

It's wild he was this good live. Complete command of the mic and monitors.
Relativity and DBM are two of the most epic albums I’ve ever heard. Still go back to them after all these years.
Honestly I think I like DBM better than DBM2…it’s a tough one but something about that early sound
Seeing him kill it opening for ADTR is amazing
Agreed.
I seem that tour... it was freaking amazing! TDWP was on it too
That whole tour was stacked. Adtr, tdwp, emarosa an sky eats airplane
@@crowing3886I saw this tour in Nashville it was amazing!
blue dream has its hold on me. just rhythm
I listen to relativity and dbm in the gym like every day
Same!

The moment i saw liveberlinshots of Emarosa.. that's my reference to show the true vocal power of jonny. He was on his A+ game
That belting in the Veritas performance was so so sick!! Prob one of my favorite live videos to watch over and over again.
Climb farther into hate…..one of dgd’s best songs bro
His new EP is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Undeniably one of the greatest of all time. Much love.
Emarosa Jonny 🥵
How do we get some vocal coaches to react to Jonny clips cuz I think that'd be interesting lol
I've been wanting the same thing lol I'd love a reaction to some of his live performances.
There some online for sure

@@KuriousKi77ywhere can I find that?
Why worry about someone else reacting to something? Just enjoy it, guy
That 2013 show with Kyle Lucas, its on another level of singing for Jonny. So good and versatile!
Would love to hear him cover Man in the box
Nice compilation, respect for your dedication as a fan
💪 DTBM I & II, Relativity (2024)
Facts…emarosa self titled is fire too
18:09 he sings that EXACTLY like the album. like, EXACCCTTTTTLLLLYYY like the album.
legendary wow
Ben folds talked about having fingers that could stand a very hard pounding play style without burning out his joints and makes me think of jonnys voice
Second clip is so good
Soooooo many goosebumps

Oh no! That’s fucked up I’m sorry What did he do or say to you that was so dickheadish ?
That's interesting, because I met him in like 2014 and he was super chill. Much shorter than I imagined.
He was high, drugs will do that. He’s clean now though I wish Dgd would bring him back for DBM3 smh
nice job w this video
2:55 such an insanely powerful voice, he dont even need a mic to be heard by the crowd😭
Thats the best live vocal performance I've ever heard and he's playing a 2000s hardcore show. Not the best PAs in the world. World class mullet man
By far the best out there when he is on his shit
Como hace para llegar a esos tonos? Es un ser de otro mundo este tipo

It's Epoch Coda from Emarosa's This Is Your Way Out album, but with Jonny!
What I would give to be Jonny Craig
Australian?
A drug addict? 🤔
@@cris46531 the greatest vocalist of our time, silence
@@wanghaf_Gl0yper you’re right I take it back. His voice is immaculate 👌
Dang what is he singing on the vet first part of this video when opening?
Epoch coda outro
It's ashame his Mic wasn't turned up for most of these
16:16 yo what😂
Trying to find the original upload of the first clip of him performing epoch coda, did it get removed? If so could you do a reupload?

4 minutes in.
Tar Jonny is the best Jonny smh
It’s true smh. Sad but I’m glad he’s doing good now
@@wanghaf_Gl0yperI know man. It’s a sad world we live in. We love his suffering but also suffers like him as well and don’t ever want to go back
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I really prefer his cleaner singing over his gritty belting
Porque no los dos
tragic
It's sad he threw all of this talent away for misogyny and dysfunction. I love him to death but man, his decisions really undercut his talent😢
You’re a man talking like this. Get a grip pal please

legends say jonny is black
He sure acted like it. Cringe tbh but ill let it slide
