I've been listening to Tilian ever since I first heard Death of a Strawberry. At first hearing such a high voiced singer was jarring, but it's now been so long that I completely forgot that it used to be jarring, and it's now been the standard for me.
I LOVE this. Thanks for sharing. Tilian’s voice is one of my favourites of all time. So many of the male singers that I love are high tenors… Anthony Green, Rody Walker, Geddy Lee, Ben Kowalewicz, Serj Tankian, Michael Jackson, Steve Perry, Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant… too many to list and I’m trying to avoid hyper focusing on this because I will totally start making an exhaustive list that would take me days to compile… 😂
Dudes..holy shit. I made it halfway through, hearing some of my favorite songs...and I thought it was almost over. This man has such a range...its incredible
I get all the DGD love but my favourite Tilian work was defintely with Tides of Man. They all worked together so well and I was sad when he departed. I get it, he wanted to expand his career but damn. I wish he could go back and do some vocals with those guys again. For those that never knew Tilian before DGD I'd recommend listening to the two Tides of Man ablums - easily my favourite music ever created.
His lowest notes are in a one-off song with Zachary Garren back in 2009. He sings the whole song in a low register, much lower than anything here. It was kind of joke song but it still sounded good. I dont remember the song name, but I would think one of them would still have it. It's from Zachary Garren's "Good Health" days.
