Will is honestly an underated character he's a lot stronger than most people believe. He also walked into his fate knowing he was going to die for the greater good yet he accepted that in knowing it would help the right people. As goofy as his first few appearances were he was still one the coolest characters in part one(beside speedwagon).
i agree, but in hindsight a few things are amusing. like when he declared "this young one will maybe even save the entire world!" and his whole arc was to push jonathan. like "i'll sacrifice myself to give this young lion his future!!!" well, about that.... if you mean by future becoming a body transplant
And you know how people argue the characters in Phantom Blood are one dimensional. I would argue William has some sort of depth to him. His whole ideals of courage and that courage is something that can only be felt by humans or any other beings that feel fear.
