  • Leaving the Tip we headed:
    - Moreton Telegraph Station: This station was underrated and had an awesome spot to cool off down in the river
    - The next spot was the camp site "The Bend South." This was a free campsite however, it was a bit of a dull spot.
    - We traveled down Battle Camp Road through to Kalpower Crossing. This spot was disappointing due to the lack of water.
    - We camped two nights at Elim Beach and explored Cape Bedford and attempted to explore Cape Flattery. We ditched our trailer before going over the soft sand dunes, however, our friends did not and got very stuck. The day turned into a day of recoveries.

Been loving your vids mate. Would be good to see some maps of the locations in them though, not necessarily following every moment but a rough idea would be awesome. Cheers man, keep em comin \m/

What pressures were you running to get off the beach at C Flattery? I ran 10 psi and had no trouble in my 2.0l Ranger

What time of year was this, sounds like not a great idea to take camper trailers to cape flattery ? Im planning a trip in july towing a big heavy camper 😬

It was in late September. Not sure what your towing vehicle is, but the hill is a bit of a monster! I wouldn’t tow a trailer to that spot if I went back.

I was there in Aug last year. I left the Ulti camper-trailer (about 1100kg loaded) just before you get to the top of the last dune before dropping down to the beach. Met a bloke there who'd just towed a small tinny up from the beach, running 6psi. I went out to the cape and Connies Beach without the trailer, and got back up the hill okay running 10psi.
The rest of the trip with a trailer would have been easy. If you want to take the trailer out to Connies (it's magic), I suggest you leave it at the top, drive down to the beach without it and see what you think of the hill.

@@damienkillalea3863 that would definitely be the plan if we did it again! Bummer that we missed out on Connie’s Beach! Not a trailer friendly spot!
