thank you very much. This was so helpful. I am a new homeschool mom. I'm having to buy curriculum for three kids. I really wanted to do logic English, but I was overwhelmed what I had to buy because there was no way I could afford A, B, essentials, and all the other curriculum.
So, I'm switching after C because I feel like D is more focused on grammar and spelling than on 'the learning to read/phonics' part of language arts. I wanted to use LOE mainly for the reading part. After C, my daughter is reading very well for her grade and I feel comfortable moving on to what I want to use for grammar, spelling, writing, etc more long term. I plan to put out a video sharing what we're using now that we're not doing LOE anymore.
I can see how Flashcards are needed!!! I find doing phonics with older kids so games don’t happen!!! Even my older kids use letter tiles but I have one who uses his scrabble board!!! We bought cursive Flashcards for my older kids to read history documentary better and i wish we had done more work earlier!!! We just buy separate readers as we choose them from our Kids instrests!!! Sorry I can’t spell!!! Any readers in a curriculum that are fun I’ll buy!!!
Thanks for sharing!

My daughter enjoyed the readers that came along with the program so it was a good investment for us.
