My mama first played the Simon and Garfunkel version for me when I was a child. My father introduced me into harder rock. I have a love for many genres. Disturbed was a band that came out during my time. Saw them live in 2001. When they dropped this cover I cried. An emotional experience that spans decades. Both versions are beautiful. Thank you Uncle Ray for doing this.
Paul Simon wrote this when he was 21 years old & in college. This they recorded at 23 years old. They both just turned 83 years old. National treasures. Best live version is their 1981 Concert in Central Park, in front of 500,000 people. In that one they were about to turn 40 years old.
This duo is the quintessential example of the same song done by two different artists that provoke different feelings in the listener. Which one you want to listen to at any given time depends on the mood you're in and where your head is at.
@@garyregan7298 I think you are speaking to the ups and downs of the relationship between Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. I was speaking of the song duos and how different artists interpret the same song so individually. I've sent Ray a number of these duos - same song, different artists because the version of the song I want to listen to very much depends on my mood. S & G's version is more quietly despairing and Disturbed's is much more in your face angry.
Simon an Garfunkel, Pentatonix and Disturbed..... I was gonna watch but since ya already heard, ya get a like. Disturbed is my favorite version of all 3 because how it comes across as the Rapture version to me :)
You should check out Hurt by Nine Inch Nails and then Johnny Cash’s version. They’re both amazing and also give two different perspectives. Johnny’s video is incredible and moving 🫶🏻
Unc me and Hector worked on this joke and tribute to you all weekend debating on how we were going to get it to you. And he was fun to actually collaborate and do this. I wanted you to know that this is a real tribute to you and I want to send it to you because I've been one of your fans forever since like 2018 2017. It's not like that. I've been with you all this time but my name changed. I used to be The Bronx baby now I'm crazy asylum escapee. But I really do appreciate everything you've done for this community. And for the world, he realized what you're doing, you've got all the reactors together, I could community. You did that and then all the renegades come back in and flood them with love.So it's a vacuum fourth. It's love everywhere and it's because of you well done.My brother, I hope that tribute finds you well and I think you'll love it.'s got a lot to do with Fred Rico.He was in on it too
There's been three musicians who have continued to deliver for decades without sticking to a formula. Paul Simon, Neil Young and Stevie Wonder. Only my opinion, which happens to be accurate.
Love the content❤❤ I think you should check out a song by someone called brakence the title is deepfake he’s a glitch core/hyperpop artist, I would love to see your thoughts on that sort of music. Another artist to check out along with brakence would be glaive if your interested in the sound of this

Disturbed❤
Paul Simon contacted them to tell them he thought theirs was better

👍A great song and performance by both. Disturbed's version gives me more chills😊. 🖖❤
Marc Martel anything Queen. His bohemian rhapsody is all done on a piano, solo. great dual reaction if you consider it
Love Marc Martel, saw him live withe the Queen cover band. The whole band is amazing, I love how the original Queen put that together for them to do 😊
This is a great classic track. Both versions are awesome. But disturbed version has became My favorite since it dropped. Dope reaction 🔥🔥🔥😎😎😎👍👍👍
I love both these versions!!!
I also like Tom Macdonald, "God Mode"!
The live version from disturbed on the conan show,, omg, completely different level

Which is exactly why they couldn't get along for so long!

You need to watch Disturbed version live! Completely different experience

You might have done Johnnys version at some point. But if you haven’t heard the original by NIN you definitely should!
This was the second duo on the list I sent Ray - he did the reaction a couple days ago - it's on his page.
*1964*
Such a big step for music content.

Pentatonix does a beautiful version as well!
Everybody who knows that Disturbed version was waiting for that last verse when David lets it rip. It will alter your brain chemistry
Great Reaction Ray
Check out Penatonix version
Love the original, but the theatrical music of Disturbed is my choice.

You should really check out Fredro Starr’s version of true colours, he definitely put some feeling into it.
Stinks without harmonies.
👌🫶👏🔊🇬🇧🇵🇱🙏✨🥲🥹
The double bill I'd live to see is Eminem follwed by Tori Amos version of Bonnie and Clyde 97. Then you need to do more Tori Amos.
Could you react to "Last Kiss" by the Cavaliers, covered by Pearl Jam?

-------- that 2nd version sucked. Just gotta say it plain. The original by S&G is everything, unparalleled.
