Pre-installed Klipper Firmware
With a quiet Klipper motherboard and ARM 64-bit 1.5G main frequency quad-core high-performance processor, ELEGOO Neptune 4 can achieve printing speed of up to 500mm/s (recommended 250mm/s), allowing you to produce your models faster than ever before, support input shaping and pressure advance function to improve the print quality of models. 8G RAM provides enough storage space for fast printing.
Dual-Gear Direct Extruder
The new self-developed dual-gear direct drive extruder with a 5.2:1 reduction ratio ensures powerful extrusion and smoother filament feeding. Paired with copper-titanium all-metal throat pipe and unique air duct design to effectively improve the heat dissipation of the throat pipe and reduce nozzle blockage risk.
300°C High-temp Nozzle
With a 300°C high-temp nozzle and an extended hot end, which means the filament can be fully melted and uniformly flow out even at high printing speed, this printer can handle a wide range of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and high-temperature filaments such as nylon.
Auto Bed Leveling
auto bed leveling ensures quick and accurate leveling of the build platform. For perfect first-layer printing, you can also use the hand-twist knobs under the build platform for auxiliary leveling. In addition, the PEI magnetic platform allows for the easy printed models removal with just a slight bend.
Efficient & Instant Cooling
The 2 thickened double-sided 4015 model cooling fans with strong wind for more comprehensive and efficient heat dissipation, along with the 4x4020 ball bearing blower fans behind the print head to quickly cool down the newly deposited model, ensuring good print quality even at very fast printing speed.
Removable Capacitive Touchscreen
The 4.3-inch removable capacitive touchscreen can be operated by hand-held or fixed on the base, and features a model preview function and pause printing function for added convenience. The gantry's LED light strip with 30 beads and a hood, combined with an LED light on the nozzle for observing the model printing in a dark environment.

I have the Neptune 4 and I can’t print the tool holder? What am I doing wrong
So far this has been the most useful video on N4 on RUclips.
There is another extremely good one but its german only sadly.
I like vlad but he's so busy he must do a review a day haha.
Nathan builds robots has one coming up
Now this is a review! For days I was just looking at reviews and found that people are just making short meaningless videos about there favourite or least favourite 3D printers. And now finally I found the guy who makes an informative, long and very detailed review about this 3D printer. Thank you my G!
Man, this video has been such a life-saver. One thing of note: The "freebie SD card" is included because you need it to update the display. You can update the printer through USB but the connected display actually needs to be taken apart and has a little SD reader inside.
I got this from someone who said, "It never worked." I plugged it in, and the switch lit up, but the power didn't work. Until I got to 21:28 of your video! 115V had to be switched on instead of 230V! Thanks a ton!
I've had this printer for almost a month and I think it's really good for all beginners. Considering its price, it's a really good printer and easy to use. Thank you!
I got my son this printer for Christmas, and I was gonna spend this weekend getting it calibrated and set up, but you made it too easy. Thanks brother
I just got my new Neptune 4 yesterday. So impressed with it. Super fast and good quality.
I've had my Neptune 3 pro for about 2 months and I just got the Neptune 4, holy hell this thing lays down plastic extremely fast. Haven't had it an hour yet and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. Got it brand new for $230 cash on offer up. What a score!!
Hey dude, Which is the easiest and less issue prone? I am going to be buying either a Neptune 3 Pro or a Neptune 4 and I cant find any direct comparisons to help me. This will be my first 3D printer and I have no idea what to get
@@anthonylong5870 they are the same machine but the 4 has a few more options and prints approximately 3.5 times faster. Get the 4 and you might as well go with the Max or you'll regret it. Neptune 4 max all day
This is probably the best video I have seen to date. very thorough on everything, great explanations and presentation. Immediate like and subscribe!
I was searching for a new printer because mine is very old and I think I found the one thanks to you !!
So Thank you very much and continue your amazing work !
Great video! I purchased my Neptune 4 last night as my first 3d printer and wanted to look up videos while waiting for it to arrive. This makes me think I bought a good one as everything was explained so nicely. I'm sure I'll be back in a few days to rewatch some parts when the laser comes in!
I had some issues with my first Benchy, but I realized my Z axis didn't save. So I checked again and I've had no issues. Already printed a lot on this machine and I am loving it!
@@NastadonGaming Glad to hear it's going well for you! Would you recommend it for a beginners first 3D printer?
@@Talefromterror 100%. Very easy to use overall and the prints are great quality. The hardest part honestly is learning the slicer program IMO, I tried my first print with Supports and it was a pain to get those off. So for now I like my Print-In-Place pieces that don't need supports until I can get those settings tuned in.
just done the same thing aha, brought last night, excited waiting for it, looking up videos
@@itzjoe2714 I took the plunge maybe 2 week ago, loving every second! Setup is so quick and fast. Auto bed levelling is just a dream and effortless. The prints themselves are really good quality! I'm sure you'll be happy mate. I sure am.
Literally just unboxed mine today and I am working on my first print. Phenomenal
@JustVlads
Oh my god, you've made this product so ACCESSIBLE to my brain! Thank you for this in-depth review!
I've been looking and researching for a while now and I just order this printer this morning and this video makes me very excited to play with it. Really good video for knowing what to expect when I get it so thank you!
thanks for this, just ordered it and its helpful to have this as a preview! Keep up the amazing content
This was an awesome review of the new Neptune 4! The prints are impressive! Especially the Deadpool bust!
My first print ever (budda) is 17% done. I'm wicked excited.
Already 15 minutes into the video..and it looks like a tutorial!
👍👍👍👍
thank you for taking the time to make this video. It really helped me a lot setting my new Neptune 4. I'm new to 3D Printing.Greetings from Puerto Rico.
Thank you for this video. I own a different brand of printer (a very similar I3 klipper) and you provided a very coherent explanation of belt tensioning and roller adjustment. Very useful.
Try the 18 minute benchy file from the USB. I had a similar improbable fast benchy file on mine, and it turned out surprisingly high quality.
thanks a lot, best neptune 4 video on yt, greetings from poland
Klipper is awesome and Elegoo got a lot right with the Neptune 4. I'm looking forward to a Neptune 4 Pro, but in a 300 mm Plus size. I wish Elegoo included WiFi so it's easy to use with Klipper. Who uses a wired LAN connection these days? It also needs an all metal hot end.
Thank you, this is the best setup video I seen to help me setup.
Amazing video! I pre-order the 4pro.... Just have to wait for it... August, they say for Canada. It'll be my first printer!
Awesome review - thanks for taking the time to post this
Best 3D printer reviewer on RUclips... hands down. I wish one of my two printer would just die so I could get this baby... oh well.
Excellent video, thanks! Can't wait to get mine.
Excellent video. Very helpful. Thank you!
Some questions:
1) What material is the heatbreak made of? Steel with tube? Steel? Titan? Bimetal?
2) What kind of heatbreak is used? CR10? Chemera? Kraken? V6? Proprietary?
3) What type of heatblock is used? CR10? Proprietary?
4) What type of nozzle is used? Mk8? V6? Proprietary? Are there abrasive-resistant options on the market?
5) What size of blower fans is used in the printhead to cool the model? 4010? 4020? Something else?
6) Does the back array of fans blows across the whole plate (which is 235 mm)? Or just across the specified 225mm?
I’m looking into getting my first 3D printer, and I’m thinking of getting the Neptune 4 to get my feet wet. The 4 Max is tempting, but that may be a bit too daunting for a newb like myself 😅 Thanks for this awesome video!
I finally got mine that I ordered early July! Mine did come with manual though. It's the same thing you found just printed out, thought I'd share!
Actually change that, mine didn't come with the head part attached, I had to attach it myself.
Nice review. Hopefully they make a max version.
Looking for my first FDM printer and this sold me
Cant wait to put my hands on one of these
what's stopping you?
@@itzmemaariocleantaps8201 he broke

Seems like a lot you have to put together and plug in and all of that stuff but I’m gonna order it tonight
I should buy my first 3D printer, and I'm undecided between the Elegoo Neptune 4 and the 4 PRO version. What advantage do the metal guides and rollers of the 4 PRO version provide? Do the plastic ones in the 4 version tend to wear out? If they tend to wear out after many prints, are there any replacement parts available? Is it worth spending a bit more to have only the heated bed with zone heating and the metal guides and rollers?
Does the Neptune 4 have the ability to 3D print in colors by adding AMS? I was just gifted the Neptune 4 for my birthday. I am new to 3D printing. I have seen that Bambu lab printers can print in color without switching filaments during the printing process.
So you didn’t show the installation of the extruder
For what it's worth...I got my Neptune 4 non-Pro yesterday, and I genuinely can't understand why anybody would buy anything else. I've been printing at 280mm/s 0.12mm-0.2mm layer height, and with plain black PLA there's no noticeable ringing or over-/under-extrusion. With silk PLA, a small amount of ringing is apparent, but nothing like I'd see on the Neptune 3 at 80mm/s. Also...be brave and make yourself a Prusaslicer profile from the printer specs; it's so much better than Elegoo's Cura 4.8 there's no competition.
Hey! I've been looking for this for ages. I'm trying to create a Prusaslicer profile myself, but I'm coming from Resin printing so a little lost. Do you have your settings for it please? mainly the 'Speed for print moves' as i think that's the most important right?
RIP Prusa, again
What happened to Prusa?
@@pcmrbenchmark8301 800$ vs 300$ 500$ cheaper yet not bad for 3d printer and getting really close to prusa for the a cheap price.
Lol no. You can also travel with a Dacia but most of the people still prefer Mercedes
@@norbertlukacs3661 What makes Prusa printers better?
@@Komandie open source but self developed slicer, reliability, amazing customer service, upgradeability (if you bought an mk2 ~8 years ago you was able to upgrade it year to year, and now you might have an mk4 and a lot of spare parts, or even complete machines just with the upgrade kits), regular software updates. Prusa has its own model database (printables), has its own material brand (prusament), and everything is open source. Therefore it's a bit pricey, but the development is in the European union and the manufacturing too. Not in China, with slaves and child workers
This is one of the better reviews regarding this printer.
I’m going to check this printer out this week, but I’m worried about the noise.
When I watch the vid it comes up as very loud, but that could be due to the mike placement?
Is it doable to run the printer and be able to sleep next room? 😅
It's because of the large fans at the back, you can disable them.
@@Adaks thanks. But is it still save to keep printing them? Or is there a huge chance to overheat ?
I’m totally new to 3D printing that’s why all the questions.
@@qstick5554 I don't know too but I think that the fans could be unnecessary as when you look at other 3d printers that are bed slingers with fast speeds - they don't have additional fans attached it. But anyways, it is a machine so I would always expect it to be noisy, most people don't put 3d printers in their bedroom, they have a spare room to put it in.
@@qstick5554 you can also always run tests on print quality as you adjust fan intensity
@@Adaks ya it’s going to be in a spare room but it’s mostly how much noice it’s going to be 😁
Ok, so just ordered one based on this review. I've only had resin printers before. I will use this for wargame screnery mostly.
Thanks for your incredible videos and awesome printing ideas. Thanks to you, I dump my Fokoos ODNIN 5 (BLAH) for the Neptune 4. Out of the box, this works! It's like an Apple product, just works. 😎 I have the most successful prints I have ever had, such a fun hobby.
You made my day
Hello, excellent video, I want to buy my first 3D printer and I am undecided, where I live I have 2 options, the Artillery Genius Pro and the Neptune 4, which one would you recommend?
For my printer I have the EZABL sensor and Th3D offers solid ABS standoffs to replace the springs. Never again do I have to manually level my bed.
8:43 My brain refuses to remain calm seeing that cable connected backwards. x)
No that it is really needed, but can you connect this Klipper printer to a Pad7 or Sonic Pad and keep the existing firmware?
Hey Man, im new to this hobby, very enlightening videos, how often do you suggested bed levering?
So I’m like dumb and getting into 3D printing. I watched a couple videos on this printer and if I remember correctly, they said that it had to be connected through the Ethernet cable, is this true? cause I didn’t see you hook it up, so do you not need it to print things? Sorry if this is a stupid question😅
Just bought mine on amazon didn’t come with some of the tools you have.. such as the clippers and scraper not a deal breaker though..
Would have been interesting to know how long the test prints at the end took, Im really interested in how long the Deadpool Bust took 😊😊
Hola compre una de estas y la use unos días y ahora cuando le meto el usb se me apaga la maquina y no puedo encenderla si lo saco se vuelve a encender y tampoco lee la tarjeta micro sd
awesome video thanks ! and quick question, do i have to do the whole leveling and auto bed leveling process between each print ? no matter the time the print took or the time between each ?
@JustVlads
Can you please make an unbox and setup video for the elegoo neptune 4 plus please
Thank you
I know this may be a stupid question, but how do you turn of your Neptune 4 printer? Im making this question becouse i cut the power by turning of the switch on the power font, but by doing that the screen start to flicking and get some restart options just secounds of turning off.
Its a nice printer, but i dont understand why they made that fan group behind the x axis. I mean with one of this fans from behind, connected to the x carriage they would get nearly the same effect.
This will add weight to the X carriage and may affect ghosting... This fan group only add weight on the z axis.
The prints look fantastic for its insane speed! What slicer did you use?
He use “Elgoo cura”
What do you suggest to someone who prints architectural models?
thanks for review.
on elegoo website they say benche takes 18 min... something with your settings?! or they lieing?
having a problem where the left side of my prints are rough and the right side is perfect on a flat item. ive leveled it multiple times same issue. Left side of the print is like more pushed in giving it an un even bottom how can i fix it
Nice videonice video, may i ask what are the spare nozzle diameters that come with the printer
They are not labeled but appear to be 0.4mm
Sovol SV07 or Neptune 4? Which would YOU select? Thanks very much.
Thanks man!!!
Which is better Neptune 4 or ender 3 s1 pro?
How do you connect to the wifi?
Have you played with flexible filament on this printer and if so what is it like ?
So helpful😊❤
Ciao! Model/ brand of filament? Necessary pla-hs or the normal one is ok?
a great video, new subscriber
Do you use adhesive or something
Have you tried printing using LAN with the Ethernet cable? If so what is the prosses? I saw there was a part for it in the instructions but could not see it in your video. If you could tell me about that I would be grateful. Thank you.
Prusa is irrelevant aside from major print farms for some reason when you can get a P1P for half the price, and double the speed and can be controlled from your phone/computet.
Do you lose the more advanced features of Klipper such as the ability to connect via web UI?
Do You gave any issue with ringing or wobbling. I can't fix it
33:05 for slicer setup
why you got 36 points? im runnin on 128. probably because this was early access and the firmware wasn't updated to use the 128 point sytem
Can you replace that wild bar with noctuas? Also, you kust have a million samples like that haha. I don't like how it's a proprietary nozzle as I've ordered one and cleaning nozzles is stanky.
Does it come with an Accelerometer to do Input shaping ? TYIA
How long does it take to fully assemble and set up?
Once the Neptune 4 max comes out, im selling my 3 plus
Please, what is the source of the weird white machine? It's my kind of thing.
I'm having major issues with my Neptune 4 Pro and at this point don't have a single clue how to fix them, I keep getting error messages after every print and just now am getting a file error issue leaving me unable to even use the printer. Anyone else having these issues/know a fix?
Thanks for you review. I guess this printer is really nice and cheap for a beginner.
But my favorite is still a generic E3. You will be better in printing if you understand how it works as they say (and recommend Prusa constructor) = )
How much speed can you get out of it without using a Klipper?
Tool holder-v2 stl pleas
"With 'create the future' warning" :D Will the N4 Pro be next?
It comes out in August, the N4 I ordered should be here this month
I'm not sure I'm the only one, but I'm a developer and I'd never plug a USB Stick that came in a package like that on my main computer. I'd probly use a temporary offline machine to clear it out first.
How well does it print with PETG?
Probably very well. PETG is easy to print so
@@shadedisplayed yeah I actually got an ELEGOO Neptune 4 since I commented and have started printing a set of Halo armour in PETG. Beautiful
I have yet to see anyone print in petg with klipper. It's almost like they're all afraid of it or something.

I think it's time to say bye to my Ender 3 Pro... Good printer but this one's just BETTER
i watch 50 review video's end i read allot. end stil i dont know what 3D machine i must buy. elego neptune 4 or ender 3 s1 pro (beginner) as i read revieuws. evry machine you wil find problems end try to understand the machine? end fix it?
Yes, even the powerhouses lile the Bambu X1C have their issues.
BUT you need to know how problematic is the printer, the Ender 3 is very popular and won it's fame as the ultimate beginner printer because is from a time when 3D printing was HARD, the Ender 3 was like the less frustrating and problematic printer of that time and for that reason it got it's fame.
On this new decade we can see that new contenders appeared on the beginner section, and some of them are less problematic and friendly than the Ender 3 like the Neptune series of Elegoo.
He hasn't shown the full potential of the printer, you really want to see it with nylon for a start. For the price the Neptune 4 seems the best choice for most people.
so neptune 4 or Creality Ender 3 S1 PRO
@@itzmemaariocleantaps8201 Neptune 4, Ender 3 s1 pro is beginner friendly to the standards of 2016.

its crazy how all you "influencers""reviewers" get free stuff and those of us who preordered and paid for it full price sit here and wait months. must be nice.
They are test machines. Often they come with not all features, bugs, glitches, issues. Would you like Elegoo to send you a machine that isn't ready for public release?, also the very reason you even purchased one of these machines in the first place is because influencers HAVE INFLUENCED YOU. So stop moaning. It's called a pre-order for a reason. YOU NEED TO WAIT FOR IT.
