Y'all remind me so much of the shit my buddies and I did in highschool! We did it with 50s-70s cars though... I wish I had kept just half of what we destroyed... Back then, they were just old junk cars. Now, it hurts to think about.
@@CompleteToiletGarageyou can only do the same thing over and over again for so long until people get bored , also they were doing that stuff in the middle of a democrat run hell scape so i'm wondering if the cops got after them or the epa ...
What we've learned here is, save the mineral spirits until it's just starting to knock, and then let er drink on it....that'll send parts through the moon as the engine runs away
had a 1990 dodge shadow cook out the transmission the exact same way, cooler has a leak inside the radiator, i thought "as long as the trans has fluid and pressure, water wont get in!" WRONG. cooked that ole 31TH after a month discovering the pinhole, would only move when the revs came up past the stall speed, it was still a slippy bitch, and the inside of the pan smelled like crayons. got a junkyard unit for 150 bucks and a radiator from the same yard for 35, thing shifted great, slammed into torque converter-lockup beautifully and ran cool as a cucumber till the day i wrecked it. those FWD 3 speed Torqueflites (NOT THE COMPUTER-CONTROLLED ULTRADRIVE 4 SPEED) are probably the best FWD autoboxes ever made, there is a guy who made one hold down 1000 hp and an 8 second quarter mile in the early 2000s
Well, i like Freestars but hated this one. Nice old man at small lot got me good. Was the owners middle aged sons van and they knew full well what they were selling. Oil got dirty quick after oil change, started ticking and having electrical issues on way home from VA to NY. This tranny issue was last straw. Van is used for medical stuff w/ one of my kids. Our "new" SUV fits our needs much better. Thanks for letting me blow off steam on this pile of junk wes. It was fun. Hey next time we do anyting with paint or chemicals; lets use an exhaust fan lol
I bought a 06 Cadillac 6 years back that the trans cooler ruptured and was mixing its special juices. I flushed everything multiple times and got about 3 years out of the transmission doing hard summer driving. It finally lost reverse so changed the trans and week later while power braking it the rear end came apart. 👍
@ I used to work for a auction I won’t say where but in the Midwest. They would buy shitty repo cars from other banks. Change the oil slap on some cheap as* wheel covers and send it straight to the lot from the auction.
@@2morgan_ well, i bought it from a "nice old man" at a smaller car garage and lot in sothern VA. Started ticking on the way home to NY, electrical issues by PA during hard rain also on way home. Oil would be stinky and dark quick. My last freestar was very reliable vehicle and I survived being hit by a speeding 18 wheeler. This one was a steaming pile of junk. -Ryan
@@workingcountry1776not all are bad this one sure took a beating lol. They just have a history of selling problematic cars at least in Indiana where I’m from. Thanks for sacrificing it for our entertainment! Merry Christmas happy new year!
also the mineral spirits bypassing the rev limiter was badass! must have been diesel or even a nitro-affect, compression ignition! crazy it even tried to rev out like that. wondering if its a lack of octane thing or the mineral spirits acted like a spark/glow plug itself
You guys made the biggest mistake! Putting engine oil lucas in a transmission without mixing it with the fluid first. Makes it easier to digest. It says on the jug....Works in transmissions too! Good idea with mineral spirits. It doesn't need the stupid ignition rev limiter because it will ignite without spark.
i always tell people do it over thier i dont want know works for me people going do what they want just is long it does not effect me and mine i just look away old day old way mind you own buniness yet people to damn nosey effect me dont need it
